Breakfast was excellent.
We had ants in our room. We left for several hours during the day and they checked our room and left the door open with our belongings in it. I had an expensive piece of medical equipment in our room which thankfully was still there when we returned. The ant issue wasn't addressed until after we returned to our room. There were ants on both beds and the nightstand between the beds as well as on the window sill and air conditioning unit, which wasn't working. The girl at the desk was sorry when we informed her, this happens when it rains. It rained the day before we arrived.

The ant problem in our room was not. They said they sprayed, but we still had them.

Proximity to event.
No towel racks. Cheap towels. No extra blankets.
No ironing board. Poor quality toilet paper & tissue.
Price was far too high for the room. Bathroom sink water would not get hot.
Pool was closed. the pool was closed and not informed when I spoke with a live front desk clerk.

Room size and decor breakfast was good selections
Pool was small and woke up covered in ants we didn’t have food laying around but ants were on bed counters eww just crawling all over us have over 4 bites

I loved how clean the place was and how friendly the staff was.
I didn't like that you could not take the continental breakfast back to your room because they said they didn't want bugs but if I ordered delivery it would come to my room so it didn't make much sense to me.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. It was a quiet and beautiful area.
Cleaning staff did not come to my room to empty the trash and provide fresh towels.

I liked the location to restaurants & gas stations, easy access. The staff was very courteous & friendly.
Because there were a lot of kids at the hotel, the sound bounced because lack of carpeting or curtains & they are kids and forget to use their “indoor voices”.

Could use more variety in the fruit not just apples.
My cold water didn't work in the sink.
When I left, I was called and told the air dryer was missing. I know I saw it in the bathroom was because I could see it when sitting on the toilet and I was on the toilet right before leaving to go into the frigid weather.

The location is perfect. Even though the facility is on the middle of construction, it is a good place to stay.
I didn't like the reconditioned process that they were at. It was noise, full of dust and long. It will end eventually but unfortunately, I was part of it.

size of the room, staff was helpful and friendly when I needed anything. proximity to food and drinks.
Room is a little run down. Paint peeling and chips in the bathroom. Shampoo and conditioner left from the prior occupants, which means the bathroom was fully cleaned.
I was in Elgin for my father in-laws funeral services. I was not made aware of the fact you have a funeral rate, until after I checked out. Which at that time was too late to receive the rate.

Room was VERY clean and very spacious. I really just stayed so that I wasn't doing a turn and burn taking up most of my day. I was truly impressed for a hotel in this price range. I could see myself staying here in the future.
I don't think I didn't like anything. It's a no frills hotel, so it really couldn't disappoint too badly. Staff was friendly, the room was super clean.. Again, very impressed for this price range.
