Nothing at all

Everything. The Behind the Counter Manager took forever to come out when I checked in, then he informed me that my reservation was messed up so he had to give me a different room, then once I got to the room it smelled like cigarettes, then when I asked to cancel my stay it took over 10 minutes for the Manager to return to the front desk.

This is a nice location and easy to find. Close enough to the downtown area where we were working. Love that the checkout time was noon. We didn’t have to be back at work until 1 so it was perfect.

Breakfast ended at 9:30 which seems early especially since it’s a noon checkout. I would think 10am would be better. We got to breakfast at 9:10 and they were out of oatmeal. There was no one around the food area so I alerted the front desk. They had plenty of time to make more and many people opened the oatmeal pot wanting some but they did not make any more. Despite the website showing waffles, there are none. And the eggs are…. Not real? From premade bag or something. But the rest of the breakfast was fine. At 9:30, a lady puts stuff away quickly; even if you are there getting seconds. Also, the jacuzzi area is getting dated. Works fine but there were no towels and nothing to tell us where to get some. We did not get any information about Wi-Fi. Didn’t even know if there was some.

Electric did not work on her side of the bed. I spoke to the night manager who seemed to be try to find lodging at another place (Marriott was full) and he said “I’ll be happy to refund you for your room”. Which I felt would have solved both his immediate problems. But maybe I misunderstood his meaning.
