it was our second time staying there and it always gets better! I love the location, you sort of feel like you’re far away and in a private setting but thankfully the malls and other stores like target are like 5 minutes away!

The place was loaded with cockroaches. I told staff about the room we were on even taking the smooshed roach with me in a bag. I was told they did not want to see it. They moved us to another room that had dead cockroaches in the tub and toilet . Then my husband went down stairs in the elevator and killed another roach in the elevator. At that point I called booking.com and they called the hotel. I did receive my money back . However the only hotel we could find with availability was not in a good part of town and not a desirable hotel at that but they had no cockroaches. The reason we could not find availability was because other at that hotel left before we did for the same reason. This was our first wedding anniversary trip and honeymoon weekend since we did not get one prior. So to say our honeymoon weekend was ruined is an understatement. I feel the Howard Johnson's needs to make restitution for our honeymoon since ours was ruined due to their uncleanly and uncaring conditions. The blonde lady at the front desk gave my husband the excuse that someone else brought them in. All I know is it was not us I don't have these in my home. And if someone else brought them in and staff didn't know them why did it effect the other guests. Also the hotel had an indoor pool that was also a factor in our reservation. It was closed for the season. Who closes an indoor pool for the season. We live in Lancaster Pa and plenty of hotels with indoor pools are open. I feel they were to lazy to heat the pool.

Room was large, and the staff were very helpful, courteous, and warm / welcoming.

The ice machine on our floor didn’t work, but that’s really not a big deal at all. I look forward to booking here again.

convenient location

No microwave in the room. We had to go down to the lobby to heat our food up. Out king size mattress was sunk in DEEP in the middle of the bed. very uncomfortable.
