The room was great! We had a beautiful view of the ocean and could hear the waves when on the deck! The bed was comfortable, the room was warm from the fireplace. Going back to the bed, it was one of the best beds I've ever slept in, thank you Karen (the owner/manager)! We will most definitely stay here again! Oh, I forgot about the jacuzzi tub, oh my, oh my, I LOVED it!

The location and overall atmosphere were outstanding, very scenic and relaxing. The owner and staff were fantastic and provided us with a great welcome upon arrival and lots of great information during our stay. We look forward to future visits!

This is a quirky hotel, run by a quirky but friendly headmistress. Talking to her, and getting tips on local attractions, was a highlight of the stay. Don't overlook the hike that starts between two of the hotel buildings. It quickly takes you up along the cliffs that line the bay. Do this at sunset, and you won't soon forget it. The quirky wood sculptures that adorn the hotel are also a highlight.

There was no restaurant, due I guess to staffing issues, and we arrived by bicycle, and therefore couldn't drive back to town (Point Arena) for dinner, so we made do with take-out-quality sandwiches delivered to the room. Better than starving. The supposed eating places in the harbor were *all* closed. But if you have a car and can drive back to town you'll be fine. Also, the hotel is a bit run-down and fraying at the edges. But it's clean and comfortable, and one of the few places to stay on this part of the coast.

This is a great location with a hiking trail right off the property and restaurants just a short walk away.

Staff was very nice and accommodating! Location is right at the water. There is also a cool trail just behind the place.

View of the ocean and wharf from the porch, next to the wharf, beach, coffee shop and Chowder House. Also the hike from the hotel to lighthouse along the headlands is spectacular.

View of ocean and right out the door hiking trail along the coast. Staff was great. Restaurant just below the property. Very authentic. Recommend getting there early enough to do the hikes along the coast.

It's a mile away from town so if you want to shop or have more variety in the way of food and drink,. you would need to drive
