Laid back, Updated, family friendly.

i loved it!

We enjoyed the proximity to the ocean, the boardwalk, the pool was so nice and warm and fantastic big beach towels were on the chairs..

Everything was just fine

Booked the place on a whim after a flat tire (car towed-new tire ordered-grateful for rental car) caused us to change our long weekend plans from NH to Cape May. From the warm greeting on our arrival, to the spacious and super clean room, fabulous view and walkable to everything and anything we needed for the 3 day/2 night stay. We were there for their last weekend until May and would love to be there for their first weekend in May.

Spotlessly clean, well appointed rooms. The pool was heated which was an extra bonus at the end of September!

Beach Shack offers a comfortable room with a great location. And their staff go above and beyond!

The super high pet fee of 100$ a day is ridiculous. The cost of staying at this resort is too high

The room I reserved was to be large enough for 6 adults; 2 children. The room I stayed in was extremely small. It was very disappointing and put a damper in my stay.

The property is in a great location and everything you need is close by. Rooms are updated and clean. Staff is wonderful. They communicate well, are knowledgeable and were very kind.

Not really a complaint/more of a question: Not sure why they don’t utilize the back parking lot in a better way. It could be used for more parking and could be neatened up.

Ground level room was perfect to accommodate my health needs. Liked the easy access to the Rusty Nail on the property. Being on the beach was perfect. No charge for amenities (beach passes, beach lounges and umbrellas) was a plus. Food and beverage service on the beach was ideal. Casual and comfortable environment. Outdoor bar restaurant and music daily was enjoyable.

Great location; nice facilities - no elevator -

Right across the street from the beach, has a pool with a kiddie side that is blocked by a fence which is great. the rusty nail (which was the best part) and super close to all the shops on Washington ave. The room was a little cramped. We have a 6/4/1 year old so with the pack and play in there, you were basically out of space. Otherwise, solid accommodations.

The room needed moped when we got there because the floors were fairly sandy and dirty. The room needs a fresh coat of paint. The pool needs new tiling and was always dirty. It wasn’t Vacuumed while we were there so the cement floor turned into a sandy ocean bottom floor.

The location was amazing for the price ! right across from the beach and everything within walking distance. We parked the car and didn’t use it till we checked out ! The rooms were clean and the pool looked inviting we just didn’t have the time to use it. I will definitely stay here again !

Loved the ocean view; room was clean and comfortable.

It can use a little exterior maintenance: painting, etc. The stairways to the second level are a bit rickety. Also, be forewarned that you'll hear noise from live music on site in the early evening. (I stayed there off season, so this may continue later in the evening on summer weekends.) Of course, the bar/live entertainment scene is a plus for many travelers, but you might want to go elsewhere if you're seeking a quiet getaway.

We stayed at the Star In. Beach Shack moved us there. But it was fine😊We had a great time.

We've stayed here several times over the last few years and it's our favorite place to visit.

It was unfortunate that the Rusty Nail had been closed when we went but it's understandable due to Covid.
