Very spacious!

Breakfast was a basket in the fridge. Didn’t fill up my family much for the morning. Sheets were short on one bed.

Enjoyed the room and it was clean.

There wasn't any complimentary coffee in the lobby, instead of making my own. It didn't have complimentary breakfasts daily. It didn't have an oven to make pizzas in our room. There was no sharp knife to cut cheese or pizzas. We never met the owners of the lodge, as they were off on Mondays.

The privacy

I went to the office several times in search of towels and trash bags. One lady mentioned she would bring them to my room. Fine and dandy, but the door was left unlocked.

I liked the personalized note card. Most people don’t pay attention on how to spell my name but I felt like who ever wrote it took the time to pay attention. So thank you for that. Room was set decently for a group that planned on staying more that one night. The breakfast baskets were filled with enough for 5 people and there was plenty of coffe pods for all of us!! My daughter and I enjoyed the dogs people were able to bring.

The mattresses on all the beds were awful. Might be time to consider changing them out. Lots of lighting for our room. Air conditioner worked great! Bathroom was roomy. We attempted to have dinner at the restaurant but they were out of almost everything. They had a couple beers but appeared to have enough hard alcohol. They ran out of fries? And appetizers? Not sure how this happens. The tacos my husband had were great!! Kudos to the chef who made those! The ale my husband did get was warm although the glass was cold. All in all if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to lay your head for ONE night this is the place. I got the impression that most of the individuals that thought this was an “Exceptional “ place may be friends with the owners or maybe the ones who over indulged a bit and made it uncomfortable to look at the scenery out back. There was no one in the office when we arrived and our key and information was hanging outside on a clip. Not sure I like having my information out there like that. Nobody in the building when we wanted to check out either. All in all this family won’t be staying there again. We are thinking we may just pay more and hopefully get a more comfortable bed and tastier food.

The owners of this lodge are fantastic hosts. They accommodated our every need. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. I can't recommend staying here enough.
