Oh, the Memories it brought back of my Grandparents home in the Adirondacks.

It wasn't handicapped friendly. Too many stairs and the toilet was too low.

So accommodating. Breakfast was exceptional.

This was a really relaxing stay and the place had a very homely feel! Loved the free kayaks and SUPs to use on the lake and the area was beautiful. The hosts were really accommodating and went above and beyond to help me out when I could not find a away to get to my next destination in the absence of taxis in the area.

It is really inaccessible (but this maybe what you want!) and so you need to have a car. The nearest food is over an hour walk away and there is no shop, although bikes were available to cycle around.

The location is beautiful - alongside a tree-lined lake, quiet and with great options for walking, kayaking or cycling. It's peaceful and relaxing, but not so remote as to be inaccessible. Also, at night, it has a great view of the stars. The inn itself is incredibly well-kept, clean and comfortable. It is decorated with a great array of beautiful furniture and art. Even the plates are delightful! The rooms are bright and have everything you need. Honestly, the handmade soap smelled good enough to eat. Breakfast is great - it varies day-to-day, the homemade granola is delicious and the hot breakfast is freshly made and still sizzling (I had sauteed ham with cheese grits). In the evenings, the the living room often has people pleasantly chatting, and Denis is happy to help you on anything. I had an excellent visit, and enjoyed my stay very much.

I don't have anything to criticise - I didn't need to ask for anything!

The homemade breakfast in the beautiful dining room overlooking the lake and the relaxing atmosphere and the warm stove in the sitting room. Two dogs were a plus!

Room and bath were small but had two comfy chairs and comfy bed. Hallways were cool.

Wonderful service. The food is delicious, the room is clean, and the hotel is well-located. I highly recommend this place.

Great location on a beautiful, quiet lake. Charming inn with delicious breakfasts prepared by the owner. Several good choices of restaurants for lunch & dinner only a short drive away.

We loved this place, set in quiet location next to a lake where there's the opportunity to take out a kayak or enjoy a pleasant walk around the lake. Our room was good with comfortable beds and a hot shower. There were facilities downstairs for guests to use a fridge, sink, glasses et cetera. The breakfast was absolutely superb, with amazing home-cooked food, and was served with proper cutlery and crockery (the only breakfast we had like that in America), there was no plastic in sight! There were also recycling facilities offered. The host was friendly and welcoming and there was space downstairs to sit in the evening and play games or enjoy a glass of wine and a chat with other guests.

That we couldn't stay longer.
