Very quiet, old school hotel off the beaten path. It was between seasons so not many visitors. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy but fresh fruit was great.. Nice local folks run it.

The curtains in the room were hard to open.

The owners are wonderful - kind, friendly, and welcoming. The mini golf course was a fun part of our stay!

The room was very clean & bed was comfortable. Owners were great to talk to. Breakfast was simple but was fine.

This was the only place that didn't have bacon or sausage for breakfast but they did say it would be added back to their services soon.

When staying at an older hotel, one never knows what to expect, but it is not normally beyond expectations. However, the Hills Inn did, in fact, provide more than anticipated. The motel is clean and well managed. Everything inside the room worked. The owner stays on top of things, and was helpful during our stay. He even provided rags so that I could clean my motorcycle windshield before setting out for the day. Safety first, according to him. We enjoyed our stay.

It was awful. Stale muffins and a sugary orange drink. The bananas were edible.

The owner/ manager was very unfriendly. The motel was fenced in like a prisoner of war camp. Our kids and young grandkids car broke down and we picked up our 5 and 8 year old grandkids and brought them with us while my son in law stayed with the car. It was 95 degrees so we took them swimming. No one else was in the pool. He gave us a very bad time for that. We were promised a room with 2 queen sized beds but it only had one. Very unwelcoming experience.

We ended up leaving a couple hours after checking in. The air conditioner didn’t work (turned it all the way down and didn’t cool the room in the few hours we were there), the flies were awful, the internet was almost non-existent, the bathroom walls were cracked and crumbling, the carpet was so dirty (my daughters feet turned almost black after running around barefoot), and the bed felt like a board. This place is not worth what they charge per night.

The location to Wind Cave NP was the drawing card.

The owner and his family were very helpful and friendly. There is a pool and it was very clean and great for taking a sip in. The motel was very conveniently located.

Manager/owner was very friendly. Room (though dated) was clean and comfortable and priced reasonably.

Temperature was very warm 107 deg. Room a/c had difficulty maintaining room temperature during daytime. Not complaining considering outside temps. Overall room was worth price.
