Breakfast was good … staff made an effort to vary the food every morning . Location is within a 10 min walk if the town centre . It is also very conveniently located across the way from the Rec path which is ideal for walking / cycling

Floors were a bit squeaky, making the room quite noisy quem people walked around the upper room.

The bed was not that comfortable. A high quality queen would be better. Also, just because the fllor onthe room slopes does not mean the bed has to. Room #204, my feet were higher than my head. A desk would be great. A brighter light ovwer the bathroom sink would be great. You could use a threshold under the door to the hall to cut done on noise.

The bed was soft, would have preferred a harder bed. The location of our room seemed in the way of the service closet and right by the stairs.

Staff was incredibly friendly and the location was walking distance to the village and restaurants. Our room was the largest they offer (3 bedrooms) it had a working gas fireplace and just enough furniture so it wasn't over crowded. The bathroom had a soaking tub and shower and the towels were large and absorbent. Robes and toiletries (body wash, shampoo and conditioner in addition to packets of bath salts) were provided.

The loft bedroom of suite got very warm and a second sink somewhere would be great. Maybe a snow shovel could be left inside the building doors so those who rise early can shovel a path to their vehicle or to the plowed driveway.

Wonderful Location. Room, common spaces everything is designed with warmth. Fireplaces everywhere. I got upgraded in a room with bathtub and fireplace in the living room. It was lovely and enjoyed every minute of it. Nice touch also the filter coffee equipment in the room.

Location of the hotel and parking were good. The hotel was nicely decorated, nice style. The breakfast is different from most hotels but it was tasteful and sufficient for us with different options.

We booked 2 nights in a standaard room with queensize bed. The room didn't meet our standards at all. It felt like they gave us the worst standaard room they had for 750 USD for 2 nights!! The room was basic, bathroom was tiny, lots of damages and bad finishes, very noisy (couldn't sleep without earplugs). Music from the lobby that was on during the middle of the night could be heared from our room. Also it was 1000 degrees in our room, I went down in the middle of the night for water and found out that the fireplace, which was straight below our room, was burning at its maximum. Aircondition was super noisy. Even if we paid half of the price for this standaard room it would have been too much. After the first night I booked a Suite with Kingsize room for +/- 150 EUR more and this room was really nice and comfortable. We wish we booked this room instead of the standaard room. Overall I think it's overpriced.

Electrical problems. Lost power 2 of the 3 days there even though we weren't using more than a few lights. The floor In room CS-1sloped considerably towards the middle of the room. Breakfast options consist of one pastry, juice & coffee, one fruit, and one other item per day.

The public area was spacious, inviting and comfortable. The coffee was excellent, and available at least 45 minutes before breakfast. A staff member went out of her way to correct a problem with the air conditioner in our room.

Our room was out of keeping with the public areas of the property. It needed updating, blinds that worked, a more comfortable bed.

Field Guide Lodge was really nicely decorated, the rooms were big and the wall paper cute. The common space I could have hung out in all day long. When we first went to our room, I loved it, too, with the cute wallpaper.

The only thing was that when you sat on the bed (facing the tv and away from the wallpaper), it lost its cuteness as there was no decor on the part we were facing. Granted I wasn't in there too long, but it felt that it just need a little something on the other wall near the tv. Just a thought! As for breakfast, the pastry was good, but the overnight oats were cold which made them hard to eat. Would have loved just a hard boiled egg too - something a bit more plain for those of us with eating allergies/issues :) Would still go back, though as these two things weren't that big of a deal!
