It’s in a very beautiful setting

The management was lazy and nothing gets done here, pool floors leaks broken faucets window walls leaking, pool was disgusting elevators dirty gross floors

the room wasnt very clean, the laundry room smelled like rotting mildew. that was terrible. one of the elevators didnt work.

The breakfast was a good breakfast

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Garland charged me over the amount that booking.com said that it would be on top of that told me there werent any balcony rooms available which was what we had booked. On top of that we were charged for a balcony suite and they gave us a standard double queen room which is less than a balcony suite. They at first gave us an occupied room. Then when we were finally setteled in a room we went to go swimming in the pool and the pool was green and had algae. The pictures shown on booking.com were not what was there and that is very deciving. I am extemly unsatisfied with this stay.

Hotel has a strong ordor, rooms are unpleasant they changed us to different rooms dir to the fact 1st room as not cleaned and second room had a guest inside

The breakfast was very good. Some of the staff were good.

We were there because my 36 year old grandson passed away and it was close to his apartment. We had been working in the heat all day trying to move furniture. When we checked in no towels in the room, all we wanted was to shower and cool off, but we had to wait for towels. Then, when I was getting my bed ready, I grabbed one of the pillows, and there was yucky sticky stuff on it. I gave the pillow to some worker he took it away, never to see the pillow again. Day 2 I sat down on the couch, and in between the cushions was a slice of pizza. Now that was really gross. My hotel phone did not work, so I had to go to the desk and ask if anyone could come take care of the mess. The desk clerk said no one would be there until 9:00 am the next morning. So she offered me another room. I am a senior and didn't feel I could move the stuff to another room, and she couldn't leave the desk. So she gave me some gloves and a trash bag and sent me one my way. We had a difficult time trying to get towels, and a nice housekeeper saw my distress and helped me with the things I needed. I hate to write a bad review, but this was one of the worst

I think that location of garland in general is a bit isolated but it was close to where I needed to be which was in the same parking lot.

I get that it’s free breakfast but the meet that was supposed to fill me and fuel me did not, I was hungry 2 hours later.
