La casa está muy bien situada, a 5 minutos de la playa andando, en una zona muy tranquila. Isabel, la dueña, estuvo pendiente de nuestras necesidades en todo momento. La casa es muy bonita y amplia, con una piscina y algo de jardin en el que los niños han disfrutado mucho. Si volvemos a esa zona, volveremos a esta casa. Gracias, Isabel.

L'hotesse est adorable et sa maison est agréable

Huis is gedateerd. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door Elisabeth maar ze spreekt enkel Spaans. Het ging dan ook in een sneltreinvaart door het huis en we konden appen als er iets was. we spraken ook meteen af dat we de zaterdag erop vroeg zouden vertrekken, om 07.00 uur, omdat we 1400 km terug naar huis moesten rijden. Na de eerste nacht bleek dat het bed van een van de kamers boven enkele latten van de lattenbodem miste en er een paar uitgeschoten waren. Ook waren er diverse gerepareerd met duct tape. Hierover contact opgenomen met Elisabeth en we moesten het logeerbed maar pakken waar niet op te slapen was. De dag erop belde er iemand die klusjes voor haar deed dat hij maandag langs zou komen maar die hebben we nooit meer gezien. We hebben het zelf maar provisorisch opgelost , we hebben tenslotte vakantie. De zaterdag van vertrek was Elisabeth nergens te bekennen. Na verschillende malen gebeld te hebben appte ze terug dat ze begrepen had dat we pas om 07 .00 uur van die avond zouden gaan. Ze kon in iedere geval niet komen voor 11.00 uur. We hebben daar niet op gewacht en Elisabeth appte dat ze de borg over zou maken. Hiervoor stuurde ze ook nog een mail de dag erop. Toen ik enige weken later controleerde of ze het overgemaakt had bleek dit niet zo te zijn. Ik heb gevraagd of ze het alsnog over zou maken maar toen had ze in een keer een foto van een matras waar op geplast zou zijn. En een krasje in de douchebak wat door de honden zou zijn gedaan. De bedden waren opgemaakt toen we er kwamen en de matrassen hadden we van tevoren niet gezien en dat was maar goed ook anders hadden we er niet op geslapen. Via Homeaway geprobeerd om verder in contact te komen met haar maar ze reageert nergens op. Zegt me voldoende. Mocht je er toch boeken dan het advies om elk hoekje te fotograferen anders zal ze je oplichten. nooit meer naar dit adres.

Whilst overall we enjoyed our stay, there were a few ways in which the villa dissapointment us. To begin, I can not fault it for cleanliness, or for location, both of which were very good. This villa, however, is advertised as 4 bedrooms and clearly it was never meant as such. Two of the bedrooms are on the 1st floor. It was clear on arrival that these 2 rooms were oiriginally a single bedroom suite with en suite and an adjoining seating area opening onto a lovely terrace (photos on the website bear this out). What they have done is install a glass sliding door in the archway dividing the two spaces. This meant you have to pass through one bedroom to get to the other one. The door was poorly fitted and afforded no real privacy. Whilst this would be a lovely spacious suite were it one bedroom (or suitable for young children) the arrangement simply isn't suitable for 2adult couples. The bed here had several broken slats. In general the furniture was poor and mismatched, and storage in the bedrooms was inadequate, even for a traveling summer wardrobe . There was very few plug sockets, I believe there was only 1 single socket in each of 3 of the bedrooms. The villa is advertised for 10 people but the kitchen was so small that the crockery had to be kept down the hall in a cupboard under the stairs. This is not necessarily a criticism as the villa never misrepresented itself as having a big kitchen, this is just an observation for anyone who is thinking of renting it and wants to cook a lot. It is however well equipped. The pool and the surrounding area were very nice and the poolside furniture good but unfortunately due to surrounding trees the pool was in the shade until the afternoon so the water never really heated up and was too cold to enjoy fully, even for the youngsters amongst us. On the website it says that the agent spoke amongst other languages English and Italian. This was clearly not the case as I speak both and the agent did not so communication was an issue. Having said that she was very jolly and friendly, was there when she said she would be, and I believe was trying to be helpful but language was obviously a barrier. A general info book, as we have found in several other villas we have rented, would have been helpful. In conclusion clean villa, nice garden and pool area, lovely views and location but needs some updating and maybe review some of the info on the website so it reflects the reality of it.

Super Lage, toller Pool! Alles in allem ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, die Vermieterin hat täglich nach dem rechten gesehen und war immer stets zu unserer Seite. Etwas lästig waren Ameisen und die Betten jedoch aushaltbar. Die Terrassen sind wunderbar zum sitzen jedoch beschweren sich Nachbarn rund um wegen der Lautstärke. Insgesamt ein toller Urlaub.

De villa bevindt zich in een wijk waar alleen maar vrijstaande woningen staan op 6-7 minuten lopen van het strand. Alles is prima onderhouden alhoewel de ensuite boven wel wat aan de kleine kant en gedateerd is. Tuin is heerlijk met een fantastisch zwembad. Wij hebben er ons met 2 gezinnen erg goed vermaakt. Boven is goed geschikt om de kinderen te laten slapen. Verder is alles in de nabijheid, supermarkt, een aantal erg goede restaurants aan het strand etc..

Clean. Good location.

We stayed 2 weeks (8 untill 22 September 2018) in the villa with our dog and had a wonderful time. The villa is well maintained and very clean, the garden and swimming pool are beautifull and everything is provided for (linen, lots of towels, well equipped kitchen, wifi etc). We loved the terrace in front of the house which has a beautifull view on the bay of Roses. A perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just reading a book. We used the bedroom on the first floor which is very large and nice. The airconditing works really good and is very silent. Our contactperson Isabel was waiting for us when we arrived and explained everything; she was very friendly and we could contact her for any question and was always ready to help. The beach Montgo with restaurants and a supermarket and bakery are at walking distance (10 minutes). Also the stone beach of Illa Mateua, a beautifull snorkeling spot, is at 5 minutes walk. We can recommend this villa to everybody to have a beautifull vacation.

Good well equipped house, in a great location and enjoying views over Bay of Roses. Super garden and pool. We were pleasantly surprised to find great restaurants and supermarkets in Cala Montgo within walking distance. Isobel makes sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay, our dog loved the garden and she was very accommodating ... she does not speak any English which makes it interesting ... but we had no problems during our stay so communication was by sign language which proved enough. We would have liked more information about the area nothing was provided by the owner and the tourist office was closed during our stay so we found everything out by accident/ curiosity. And please if we have one criticism some decent chopping / cutting knives !!

Back patio is overlooked, but nobody staying next door, so was very private. Pool is in direct sunshine, beautiful trees on the property, for about 5 hours a day. 12pm to 5pm while we were there. Perfect for us with kids, but not if youre hoping for early morning to early evening sunbathing. Kitchen is cosy, but has everything. If you like to hang out and cook in the kitchen, its only really suitable for 1 person at a time. Other than that, this was idyllic - quiet and relaxing for family time. LEscala 6 mins away in car, Carrefour with everything you need, 12 mins. Nearest bar 5 mins away, open in evenings only while we were there. We would definitely visit Cala Montgo again and stay at this villa.

We have passed a great week in this house. It has a great view to the sea and the backyard with the pool and terrace makes you enjoy much more the time. The beach and supermarkets are about 7 min walking , very easy to get to them. The house was very clean, with towels and hairdryer and the kitchen is well equipped. We have used a lot the wi-fi which worked excelent. I would definitely recommend the house to other people moreover if you want to disconnected from the daily routine and stress the location is perfect,beautiful and very quite area.

Very nice villa with lovely pool area and garden. We walked to the beautiful beach and enjoyed swimming as well as children friendly. Short walk to view point with stunning views over the dramatic cost line. Nice location for exploring the area, we went to Dali museeum, Cadaque, Gorges dela fou (in france) and can really recommend the ruins north of Lescala.

There is a child safety gate between the outside eating area and the pool area plus the pool itself has shallow steps which is great for children. The pool gets deeper after that for adults.Good quality air conditioning indoors and reasonable sized dining room - much more space outdoors though, especially next to the bbq at the front of the villa.The location is on a hill, which is lovely and quiet, while also overlooking Montgo Bay to the south and Gulf of Roses to the north and good views are only a short walk away. The nearby beach is about a 10 min walk and has a good selection of bars and restaurants. But the whole coastline is full of great beaches so there is lots to choose from if you have a car.Recommend flying into Girona airport, its only a 45 min drive to LEscala by hire car or taxi.

This villa is perfect for a family holiday. We went as two families, 4 adults and 6 children. There was plenty of room with the children having the upper floor and the adults having the rooms downstairs. The villa was spotlessly clean with more than enough plates, glasses and cutlery for the 10 of us. It had all the facilities you would require. The grounds had enough space for everyone to sunbathe or play, with areas of sun and shade depending on your preference. The front had a large eating area with BBQ that overlooked the bay plus there was an additional eating area outside the kitchen. Montgo beach and a super market was literally a maximum of a 10 min walk on the roads, or slightly quicker via a cut through we found along the same road. We also walked to Riells beach that is about 30 mins away, although you can take the street train if you want. Isabel made us feel very welcome and answered any queries we had. It was a nice touch that Isabel gave us some local wine during our stay. I would thoroughly recommend the Villa.

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances en famille. Les deux terrasses sont agréables et bien orientées . La literie est très confortable. À l'étage, il est préférable d'y installer une famille avec un ou deux enfants car les chambres ne sont séparées que par un paravent. Le jardin et la piscine nous ont régalés. Merci à la propriétaire de répondre si vite en cas de besoin. Cette villa est à recommander!

We had a great holiday at the end of May in this lovely villa. Everything was clean, tidy and as described in the listing. Isabel could not have been more friendly and helpful. She was waiting to welcome us on arrival despite that being late evening and also visited during the week to check that we were OK and bring us a bottle of wine. The villa is located in a quiet side road so was very peaceful, but is well placed for the beach and supermarket which are both just a short walk away. We found plenty to do in the area and particularly enjoyed a visit to the Dali Theatre museum in Figueres. We would certainly visit again and are happy to recommend the villa to others. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Hi. In beginning of the may me and friends was relaxed on this beautiful villa. Very friendly house holder.Very clean end comfortable house. Swimming pool is great for adults and kids. In May, we had the good fortune with friends relax in this beautiful villa. On arrival we were met by very friendly owner. Villa really liked us and our children. The pool has a safe place for children bathing. not far from the villa there are several shops where you can buy the most necessary. The beach is within walking distance. We had so much fun. We think back to this wonderful place.

The villa was as described. It was clean & very well equipped. The swimming pool & outside seating areas were very good, but there was a lot of noise at times from children in the pools of adjacent villas. Our host Isabel was very friendly & welcoming, although communication was a little difficult as I do not speak Spanish. L'Escala itself has a choice of sandy beaches, and although 'out of season' there were numerous bars & restaurant's open, especially around the old town. The villa is some way away from the old town, and therefore transport is essential for visiting other than Montgo's beach & restaurant's, unless you are very fit and like walking. The villa is not easy to find unless you have detailed directions or SatNav. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay & would certainly visit again in the future.
