This was a spacious and comfortable apartment housed in an elegantly beautiful Veronese villa. The villa was located in a quiet and florid suburb around 20 minutes’ walk to central Verona and all the most important amenities - including good value pizzerias, cosy bars and a supermarket - were located nearby. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Verona and look forward to a time when we might be able to do so ourselves again.

Beautiful villa in a quiet and safe location. Great restaurant recommendations by Gloria. Very nice to have two separate washrooms and an outside terrace to eat on. A few basic pantry basics such as salt, sugar and oil would have been appreciated for those who like to cook and want to make us if the beautiful kitchen and dining room.

We made Verona our home base and travelled to nearby destinations from Villa Gloria. Gloria is an excellent communicator, a knowledgeable & kind person and her villa is wonderful. The villa was spotless, the kitchen well-equipped, the patio is perfect, the beds are comfortable and the showers/bathrooms are excellent. It was nice to be close to the city center but a little removed from it. Gloria could not have been a better host. She made fabulous recommendations and gave us great travel tips. Gloria made our stay even better by providing a wonderful apartment in an excellent location. She took the time to orient us to the neighborhood and gave us great suggestions for restaurants.

Villa Gloria is spacious, immaculately clean and has every amenity. It is located on a quiet, residential street that is convenient to restaurants, shops, and bus routes to all the major attractions of the city. However, the best thing about Villa Gloria is Gloria herself. She met us upon arrival to show us the apartment, give us site seeing ideas within and outside of Verona, and provide dining recommendations. She was available and immediately responsive during our entire stay to answer all questions about Verona. Villa Gloria is wonderful, and Gloria is outstanding!

Spacious top floor apartment, high quality finishes with attention to detail, such as comfortable beds with fluffy duvets and dark blinds on the windows. Loved the rooftop terrace. Gloria is a gracious and knowledgeable host. Go to Miozzi, a 10 minute walk from the apartment for one of the best coffees in Verona.

Gloria is the most welcoming, kind, helpful and hospitable host you could ever ask for. She greeted us warmly when we arrived, explained everything to us about her apartment, gave us a map with directions to everything, recommended some wonderful restaurants. The list goes on and on! Always available to answer questions about bus schedules, church schedules, where to buy tickets, etc. She even drove us to the train station and showed us where to return our car. It was Sunday morning and the car rental place was closed. It was quite complicated with trying to park the car in an unattended lot and then taking the keys to another location where the drop box was. How many owners would go out of their way to do that?! Then there is her apartment. Immaculate is an understatement! Very comfortable and fully equipped. The beds were great. There is a lovely outdoor patio. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood with the bus stop that will take you into the city center only a 5 minute walk away. There is even a fruit and vegetable market, a pizzeria and a pastry shop less than a 5 minute walk. If you are planning on visiting Verona, I would HIGHLY recommend this property. Gloria is one in a million. Thank you Gloria for your many kindnesses while we were visiting!!

Gloria is an excellent hostess, she gave us lots of suggestions as to where to visit and to eat. She is very focussed on making sure you enjoy your holiday. Lovely location, a few minutes to the bus stop into Verona, or a walk is possible if it is not too hot. We would definitely recommend this property.

My sister and I loved our brief, 3-day stay in this delightful and spacious 2-BR, 2-bathroom apartment in Verona. Although outside the old city, staying here allowed us to see the pattern of daily life in this great city. Travel into the old town was easy to achieve by bus when we were in a hurry, or on foot to get exercise. Gloria was a superb host, who met us and provided us with excellent advice about the apartment, local services, transport options and timetables, and places to see. She cheerfully made herself available to answer any queries or assist with taxi booking. Her son assisted by taking our luggage up the 2 flights of stairs. The apartment was so comfortable and we slept well. We really appreciated having our own private balcony space with table and chairs to enjoy the sun. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family who wanted some space and to explore more than downtown.

Wonderful architecture and garden, located in a quiet upscale neighborhood within 10 minute walk of the historic center, parking provided ( a must ), owner Gloria is charming, speaks excellent english and very friendly. It was the right distance from town with all the amenities of home. Gloria was fantastic and such a great resource for everything. Would highly recommend! We found the bakery, but also a homemade wine making store and fantastic pizza with exotic flavors down the street. The accommodations was clean, perfect size as well as clean (as my 9 year year old reminded me). Would highly recommend. Gloria also is very quick to respond to any questions, not only when staying with her but also before we even left the US.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, spotlessly clean and well equipped apartment. The environment is very quiet although you can reach the next bus stop within 5 minutes. Gloria was very helpful, thank you very much! Richard and family.

clean apartment in good location

Great apartment, well-equipped, in a green neighbourhood with many old trees. You hear more birds than cars, but two bus stops are nearby to go to the city center or the railway station. The timetables (different bus numbers at night and on sundays/festive days!) and some other information are in the apartment. There is a good bakery ("pane cereale" is recommended for those who do not like white bread) that offers also lunch meals to take out and a small grocery less than five minutes walk away. Gloria is a very nice and helpful host. As in other apartments, "satellite TV" does not mean that there are non-Italian channels, but you probably don't come to Verona to watch TV, and there is the internet.

Lovely home, clean & welcoming. The apartment has a lovely balcony, perfect for a peaceful breakfast. An easy 20 minute walk into beautiful Verona. Gloria was a very friendly host, and most helpful, offering us lots of useful information. Perfect for a short stay.

Our Norwegian family, two adults and two teenagers, hadde a wonderful stay at villa Gloria. The appartment was very clean and in god condition. It was spacious, and located in a safe, quiet and nice area. Gloria was very helpful assisting with suggestions for travel and things to to. This appartment is highly recommended.

We (two Canadian couples) enjoyed the Villa Liberty/Gloria in Verona so much!! The 2 bedroom suite was large and well appointed and squeaky clean!! A Fabulous outdoor sundeck made it even more glorious! We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sunshine each morning enjoying our coffee and in the evenings, with wine :) The location of the suite is perfect; short walk to restaurants; the city center and Old Town just 10-15 minutes by foot. We had gorgeous September sunshine :) Close to Lake Garde which is a MUST see! Gloria was an exceptional host, giving us all the information we needed about the suite and the city. I would highly recommend this unit! We only had the pleasure of staying two nights....next time I would at lease double that!

Nice, clean and a great host. We can say that is was the most beautiful appartment we ever had since we rent apartments (about 6 years now). We didn't have nice weather , but we were happy with our place. Everything was in order and we got all the information we needed before we start visiting the town and the area around Verona. Our host brought us to the Opera, gave us pillows to sit in the Arena! A great stay !

"We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Gloria. Everything in the apartment is well maintained. There is a lovely terrace where you can enjoy breakfast in quiet surroundings. There are about 20 min. walk to the citycenter and it would be nice if it were possible to borrow bicycles. Buy Veronacart which provides free bus transportation and entrance to the main attractions. Hope to come back one day."
