Perfect location, right near the Murat streetcar stop. Excellent view, beautiful porch to hang in the evening, sweet reading nook in the living room area. Clean washer and dryer that worked perfectly downstairs. Quality bath products provided; smelled great and gentle but effective on skin & hair.

I wish there was a communal kitchen space to prepare food on site.

Reading the reviews before, I was a bit worried about the neighborhood etc, but actually all is good. The location is very good, 20 min tram (streetcar) ride and you are in the city center, however, museums and parks are super close to hotel. It looked totally safe, had a nice burger and hipster place very close, all was very good. If you are looking for super luxury, go elsewhere, but if you want an authentic and very cosy stay in a nice place, this is the place, I liked the old house with the wooden floors. Good value for money. Hosteeva (property management company that manages this hotel), were very reachable and had good service.

You had to wait a minute or two to get hot shower, but hey I am on holiday, it is fine. Towels could be changed more often :)

Close to everything, the #47 trolley is steps from the door, which will bring you straight downtown. There's a little donut shop a few houses down, so we brought coffee and donuts back to the house and sat on the huge front porch. The room was NYC small, but we didn't spend much time in it. This place is affordable, and the beautiful location is why you'd want to stay!

There are about 8 rooms in the basement, 1 of which we were assigned. I have an allergy to mold and it had rained for several days before our visit, and our room had a heavy musty smell. The windows don't open, either. I called Hosteeva, and told them, but didn't get any response until the next day. I ended up buying moisture absorbers to hang up. A dehumidifier running downstairs would be a huge help, especially since this whole place was renovated recently!

it is a beautiful house, well located, with the tram right at the door to reach downtown, silent and save surroundings, the room was comfortable.

It would be better if someone was there supervising the guests and house, the door was left open many times, strange people were at the porch or back of the house. But even though it was save. As a tea lover a waterkettle or boiler would be great.

Location was good. Had no issues with excessive noise. Ala in all, was good.

The hot water was not adequate. Took awhile to warm up.

the location on canal was easy to find. The codes are nice but not easy for those of us who cant memorize aymore. spacious room and was private and felt like home.

the main issue are the steps- there is no way to access any room in the building without steps and lower and upper floor many steps...

Water was pretty cold

the location was good and the place was neat and clean.

we didn’t have hit water to shower with for two days. finally someone came and fixed it kind of. it still wasn’t hot but better than a cold shower. we rented a room with a jetted tub. it didn’t work and hasn’t worked in sometime according to the maintenance personal. The property said they refund us $100. Only thing about that is that they said it would be refunded from Booking and could take up to 14 days. Considering my anniversary trip was a complete disaster I don’t feel I should have to wait that long to be refunded. My wife was totally heartbroken over this.

Very good location! Clean nice place with louisianian vibe

I couldn't have found a better spot to explore New Orleans. The beds were lovely, the room was larger than I expected. I loved the ceiling! The street car stop was less than half a block away. We got to explore the cemeteries, the French Quarter and the Garden District. Just buy a Jazzy Pass either from the street car or on your phone (the app is called Le Pass) and you can get just about anywhere, I'm pretty sure it even works on the ferry across the Mississippi. Halloween was amazing and we didn't have to drive anywhere! The house is far away enough from the party to have a pretty quiet street atmosphere, other than a few cars with loud engines. It was about a 15 to 20 minute ride to Bourbon St. There was a seating area, or parlor if you will, and comfy chairs on the porch. I met a few of the other people, they were all very nice to talk to. There was an old cat hanging out in the yard I named Meoster who is very sweet and let me give some scritches. I cannot rave enough about this place. It was very comfortable. We had plenty of soap/shampoo, toilet peper and towels to last the week we were there, so we didn't really need any room services. We were able to do laundry for free! (Bring your own soap) The AC kept it nice and cool, and took away that southern muggy-ness that we all know and love. We didn't use the TV very much, but they have Netflix. The mini fridge was nice and cold and there was a nice little microwave. They also had a full coffee set up with ground coffee, mugs, sugar, the works. There's a Walgreens fairly close by and three coffee shops on that side of Canal St. Very walkable. We had no issues and just the lovliest of times. If you're reading this, I highly suggest booking. I took a picture of the ceiling because I just loved the purple texture. Happy travels! 😊

I have no complaints! The only advise I can think of is the shower takes a bit to warm up, but that is totally understandable considering it is a house refurbished into rooms.
