Great place to stay in the heart of Wilmington!! The staff were very helpful and had wonderful suggestions for where to eat and explore. The room was spacious and although it was near the entrance, it was very quiet, especially at night time. The courtyard out back is an added bonus area to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Would definitely stay again! Thanks to James and all the staff!!

Very much keeping to the colonial and historical feel of the era it was established. Interesting history of the hotel and town. Great central location with all that was needed on the doorstep. Staff were very good and very spacious room
Air conditioner in the room was too fierce for the one bed with vents on the lower wall next to the bed and one directly above the bed. If we were to stay again would insist on another room.

Great location in Wilmington for exploring the area. Lovely town with good restaurants you can walk to. Food at the Anchor restaurant is excellent. Owner was welcoming and have us lots of useful information about the area. The beds were comfortable but rather high up. Shower was great. Fridge in room and a coffee maker. Enjoyed sitting in the the sun in the back yard having our lunch.
Quite hard to get into the beds as they are on a high base so have to clamber on! Many local restaurants are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, so the one that is open is packed! You do get traffic noise as close to the road and in the morning heavy lorries go by. We used earplugs and slept fine.

Historic building, spacious, clean room with comfortable beds, well located for the town. Parking was easy and communication was good (recommendations for restaurants etc).

It was spacious and clean. Both the room and bathroom. The bedding was very comfortable and high quality.

Check-in was a breeze, and we were happy with 102, two twin beds. The sheets and towels were luxurious, and there was a good amount of space for our items. It was nice to have a comfy chair. Loved the shower, too.

House is historical (i.e. Old).
It is located on route 9. Our room was on the ground floor facing the road which is quite active during all times. The noise isolation is very poor so we could hear clearly every car and truck and also the bed and floor were vibrating by the traffic. Overall we could merely sleep which is the main reason for the low grade.

Jim has done an outstanding job in updating and improving Vermont House. Clean, attractive and great location. Minutes away from restaurants and shopping.
