Location was fine

Cleanliness. The window blinds were disgustingly dirty. Also need better locks on the doors

The staff is always friendly, and the rooms are always so clean and comfortable. I really like when we would come back from a long day of riding snowmobile our room was cleaned and restocked as well as our bed made.

I don’t particularly like the musty smell of the room when you first come in, you eventually adapt to it but it is very strong when you first come in door. Another thing would be not having an exhaust fan in the bathroom, it gets so hot during shower/ bath and it would be nice to have that circulate the air a little more.

The place is older, but clean. It’s a great location. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about what to do and where to go around the area.

Charming and helpful check in clerk. Great breakfast.

Very Clean Rooms Close to Restaurants

I was greeted at the front counter by Katie, she was nice and she gave a list of restaurants in the area. I was hiking the North Country Trail and she told me a little more about the area.

The location was very close to two ski resorts in UP: Big Snow (combination of Indian Head and Black Jack) and Powder Horn. It's less than 15 minutes to drive to these ski resorts. Bluffs Inn is in Bessemer - a small town with a few places to eat. However, Ironwood is a larger town 15 minutes away in one direction with plenty of restaurants and bars and Wakefield another small town 5 minutes away in another direction with a few restaurants and bars of its own. The room is clean with basic amenities (TV, Wifi, fridge, shower tub combo) and a daily cleaning (something that had gone missing post pandemic from some larger brands). It's totally fine since we were there to ski. The inn owners are very helpful and friendly with local tips.

It's a basic motel. I wished that we had a bit more room since we did Chinese takeout for one night and it was a tad tight to eat in the room. Other than that, it had everything that we need in a basic motel.
