Three generations of our family, plus the dog, spent a lovely long weekend here. Communication from the owner prior to arrival was easy. The cottage was spotless clean and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic, very close to lovely restaurants and countryside walks on our doorstep. Also only a twenty minute drive to Sheffield. We hope to return again when next in the area.

Beautiful and spacious cottage located in the center of the lovely Hathersage village. It is within walking distance to restaurants, pubs, shops, and the train station. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you might need. It was very nice to have two extra bedrooms for my husbands’ son and his two young daughters’ visits on two weekends. And the extra bathrooms were a big plus. Upon arrival we found a welcome tray with coffee, tea, sugar, cookies, small bottles of sparkling water, orange juice, and milk in the fridge; there were also dishwasher detergent tablets, and plenty of toilet paper in the bathrooms. The cottage was very clean. We also met Mike, from the Cottage Team, who checked the heating and showed us a few things around the cottage. He also gave us a lot of ideas about places where we could take the granddaughters, which was very helpful. After reading an older review indicating the attic gets a bit chilly, we were worried about the granddaughters being cold. I mentioned this to Helen, and the Cottage Team checked for the extra duvets in that room; since they were no longer there, they ordered extra duvets right away, not just for the attic beds, but two more extra for the other beds. The duvets were there when we arrived, which was very much appreciated. After all this effort to get the duvets, we did not need them. The temperature was fine in the attic with the heating schedule the property has, and the granddaughters loved their attic bedroom. Overall we had a wonderful stay at the cottage, and would love to go back in the future. Thanks to Helen and The Cottage Team for making our stay very enjoyable.

Lovely house in a stunning location in the Peak District with lots of walking routes nearby. The house is well equipped and has high quality fittings and furniture - perfect for a family/friends holiday or mini break. Can highly recommend staying there.

This place was just perfect for us for a long weekend in the peak. The photos on the listing don't really do it justice - it's very clean and comfortable and nice. It was a very hot weekend but the cottage was mercifully pretty cool. Aside from the top bedroom, but that was fine once we'd opened the windows. It's a great location in the heart of Hathersage with enough walks and pubs on your doorstep to not even need a car. And communication with this owner was all excellent. Recommended.

A lovely sized, modern 3 bedroom house with parking and a well kept garden in a quiet part of Hathersage but within a few minutes walk of the high street. We really enjoyed our short break here, very comfortable inside and it was nice and cool inside the house considering the very hot days! Highly Recommended.. We will be returning when back in Hathersage.

Spotlessly clean, character property, location was excellent. Quiet, secluded and just minutes walk to shops, pubs, restaurants. Owner had thought of everything from milk in the fridge on arrival to a butter dish and even a toast rack. Good walks on doorstep and train and bus links. Hathersage itself very pretty.

The cottage makes for a perfect base to take advantage of Hathersage’s many pubs, cafes and restaurants while offering from-the-door access to walks, runs and bike rides.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in June/July 2022 with our 3 children, 8, 5, and 3 years old so we could spend time with my family nearby. The cottage was perfect for us - quiet location with lovely garden and patio to play and eat in, quick walk to the shops in Hathersage, and close to all the nice walks in and around Sheffield and the Peak District. The cottage was super clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for cooking, and for washing and drying clothes. The 3 toilets were a plus with the kids, and the showers and bath were ideal for all of us. The kids managed the steep stairs fine after we explained about going up and down safely. We did prop the heavy attic door open at night so we could hear them since all 3 slept in the attic. The attic did get warm, but we kept a window open at night and it cooled down quickly. We would definitely return here next time we visit. Great stay!

This was our second stay at this lovely, well equipped and wonderfully located cottage. The owner, Helen, is extremely helpful and responsive, and this is the perfect base from which to explore this fantastic region.

Lovely cottage excellent garden for a drink in the sun and is safe for the dog. Nearest pub is seconds away,others within a matter of minutes. Super place. everything we needed and friendly neighbours. Be awarw though that the stairs are quite steep, my parents would struggle up to bed .

The cottage was spotlessly clean and so well equipped. The garden was lovely and the bbq & seating area was perfect as the weather was beautiful. The location is well placed for all amenities in the pretty village with lots of parking right next to the cottage. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely rebook in the future.

A brilliant cottage in a fabulous location. Beware of the steep stairs and noisy shower but we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our trip. Helen was great to deal with and really responsive to our needs. Would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family

"Our family of 4 adults and our dog, had a great stay in this lovely cottage. It is very convenient for visiting Sheffield city centre (It was my Daughter's graduation) as well as for enjoying some lovely walks with the dog in the Peak District. The cottage had everything we needed. It was very clean, peaceful, warm and very comfortable. We were able to pick up a delicious takeaway meal one evening and had lunch in the lovely deli in Hathersage. The owner, Helen was very helpful. I would really recommend this cottage and we will book it again if we return to the Peak District. Thank you!"

Lovely end terrace tucked away but perfectly located for the town center, everything we needed wa provided and would highly recomend.
