The magnificent scenery and the peace. Perfect peace. Very comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Perfect verandah . Friendly host.

There was no breakfast with the accommodation nor any communication with the facility' management post check-in. The location was ok for a wine country tour if you like being out of the city per se and with spectacular views of the mountains both front and back. Not expensive for our 4 night stay.

Where do I even start; the reception was cool and dismissive at best; could not use credit card; had to pay in Rand cash or EFT all in advance; the security gate leading up to our chalet was a real challenge and almost never responded to our mobile phones without a major hassle; the chalet was tiny for 3 people and only 1 bathroom; the "road" leading up to the chalet was fit only for a 4x4 and getting in/out requires a skilled driver as well; bridge leading into property could be hazardous esp at night as it is narrow with no guardrails at all; generally the property appeared neglected and was in real need of some sprucing up as well as more TLC with clients from management (we received zero); steps leading into chalet presented a hazard esp for children as no guardrail and no hand rail leading down; I would not recommend this place unfortunately and don't understand some of the reviews I see here.

Nothing actually

This property was perfect for a little getaway! Its lush green and soo beautiful. I love that it was away from town. I also loved that there was no tv so it was all about family and taking in the beautiful scenery ! Another amazing thing was the recycling and the fact that they reuse all the scraps off food for compost.

The gardens and orchards are absolutely stunning. The frog choir at night was magical and the mountains views spectacular. The small cottage has a weird layout, with bathroom off the kitchen, but was comfortable and had everything needed for a relaxing stay, including a braai area and a stoep to the front and a veranda at the back. It's a 10min drive from the Jonkershoek nature reserve, where we went for a wonderful hike. We can also recommend Starke Conde restaurant and wine tasting nearby.

Friday night there was a very loud local party, which kinda ruined the ambiance of the frog choir, but not something the hosts could have prevented.
