My second visit to Thorpe and loved it

The house and location were both amazing

From the minute we pulled up outside the property there were words like "amazing"..."wow"..."fabulous". We were a family of 9 and the property met everyone's expectations (and more). The view was awesome, and waking up to that every day was a highlight. The house layout is outstanding, plenty of space for everyone, with all the amenities you could ask for. The juke box was a brilliant add and was very much enjoyed by us all. We were all very sad to leave.

We went with a group of eight friends, what a beautiful house, the photos don’t do it justice, we could have sat and looked at the view all day, breathtaking ❤️ we didn’t want to leave.

Wow. House, view, beds, terrace, view, kitchen, atmosphere, view and view and view. And everything. Photo's exactly how it is. You can rent luxury and comfort, this is just that and atmosphere. We felt at home instantly and more. And the view ooohhhhh ;-). We could check in early and check out late - no prob. So go here, buy a Pinot Grizio Rose Italia in de local supermarket, sit down and look, drink, watch and enjoy. Our lady friend gave her stay a 10+. Thank you Liz and Chris

Excellent property which was very well appointed with great views overlooking the bay and the sea. The bedrooms and bathrooms were amazing and the ground floor accommodation worked for us as a group of four couples away for winter weekend. We catered for ourselves and it was fab having a kitchen with everything that we needed. Would thoroughly recommend

What can we say but WOW!!!! As soon as you walk into the lobby and through to the lounge a light ,spacious room greets you with phenomenal views across Woolacombe Bay. Many an evening was spent relaxing on the terrace absorbing beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was really well equipped in all areas, better than any other holiday home we have stayed in before, in the UK and abroad. The quality of everything was excellent. We were so looking forwards to our second week.

This was our second stay at this property. The property is superb, very well equipped and an ideal location. We stayed with friends and family and the property is ideal for this purpose with separate lounges and spaces where different groups could be without ever feeling you were on top of each other. At the same time the kitchen and wider facilities were such that it easily coped with our large group. Contact with the owner Chris is great and most critically when we had an electrical fault one night following a storm he was extremely responsive and the issue was resolved with no impact upon our holiday and enjoyment. Cannot recommend highly enough and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful house, stunning location and views to die for. What more could you want?

This was our third year at Thorpe and the biggest dilemma we have is how many weeks we book for next year. The location is fantastic, the house is spacious and the best equipped of any holiday home we have stayed in. A definite 5 star.

Enjoyable from the moment we stepped into the property. Everything well appointed — very nice without being stuffy, ie incredibly comfortable while also truly lovely. The view from the house is superb. Well cared for properly. Couldn’t have asked for a finer stay.

Nothing to fault on the property, checkin, owner, location. All pretty perfect really. In fact it’s better than described. Woolacombe is perhaps a little quiet and only really surfing orientated. A very high end property that made for a great holiday.

Very well equipped house in a beautiful setting. House was well laid out and the kitchen in particular had everything you could need. Having 2 fridges and 2 ovens was a bonus! Two small things was some m&ms which were found under one of the beds and some of the bedrooms didn't have full length mirrors which would have been great ! Of course... this wouldn't be enough for us to not stay again.. the view and setting including the hot tub is amazing !

Quality in so many areas. The house is fantastic. Loads of room and a very high standard. Location is excellent with only a 5 min walk to the beaches and shops. The view is to die for. We didn’t want to leave!!

Woolacombe is within easy walking distance and there are many outstanding scenic walks. Recommendations of places to eat from the host were all very good. We would all definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic weekend staying at Thorpe. The views are breath taking and the property is stunning. The house is fully equipped with everything you may need, from a wide range of kitchen equipment to body boards, buckets and spades to a juke box. We will definitely be back again to enjoy the hot tub overlooking the beautiful beach.

Just back from a glorious week by the sea. Thorpe is so well positioned that everything is within walking distance -sand, sea, coastal path, bar, fish and chips and bakery ( with amazing ice cream). The view from the living room is amazing and the house is very well appointed. A great place to stay with the family. Thank you.

We spent a very relaxing week at Thorpe. The views are spectacular over Woolacombe beach and the house is very comfortable. There is plenty of room to entertain and the space allows guests to relax in different areas , all with a view ! My teenage boys loved the jacuzzi and the jukebox was a bit hit! The kitchen is well equipped and there are 2 fridges which is very useful . There are 5 bedrooms ( 4 doubles / 1 single with pull out trundle) all of which are very comfy and spacious. Our only feedback would be that a twin option would have suited us better for the configuration of guests .The owners were responsive and helpful at all times .We will definitely be back.

This is a really gorgeous place to stay with wonderful views. The house has everything you might need with plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub was a highlight as we had some marvellous sunsets. There are lovely walks straight from the house in all directions And despite being off-season there are plenty of places to eat out

Very well appointed comfortable home for family and friends. The views are spectacular and it’s great fir the beach and long walks.

We had an amazing few days in Woolacombe. The house was beautiful with stunning views & a great location. We will definitely be back!

Thorpe has everything you could want- a great layout, well kitted out kitchen, fabulous hot tub and views for days. Pre-arrival information and check in was seamless. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer!
