Such a wonderful place to relax after visiting the local villages or surfing in Baleal - the flowers and trees in the garden were stunning!

The house is spacious, the surroundings are beautiful and quiet, location is great, the beach is a 12min walk away, we played tennis, did some surfing lessons, ate out every day in the many great restaurants in the area, some excursions to Obidos, Belangas, Sintra, massages, yoga in front of the sea etc and overall had a fantastic time. The weather was good and way more enjoyable than the heatwaves of the Mediterranean. If you like an active holiday, you'll find many things to do. Mandy was a super reactive and helpful host. Thanks a lot for making this holiday a great one!

Un lugar muy especial, para estos momentos de calores del sur de España, todo muy bien cuidado
muy bien , la pena el jardín que no se puede disfrutar mucho por ser bancales , la casa super confortable , teniendo en cuenta que son m muebles antiguos , pero los cuartos de baños actualizados.

Zeer geslaagde familievakantie!
Wij verbleven in Praia D'el Rey van 23 juli tot 2 augustus en hadden een topvakantie met de hele familie. De villa is zeer rustig gelegen en omringd door een prachtige en goed onderhouden tuin (zorgt echt voor een wow gevoel bij aankomst!), met vele terrassen, barbecue en een fijn zwembad. De villa zelf is erg ruim en alles wat je in je vakantie zou kunnen nodig hebben is aanwezig : zeer goed uitgeruste keuken, meer dan voldoende ligstoelen, strandspeelgoed voor de kleinsten, een biljarttafel, spelletjes, boeken, wasmachine, etc etc ... De hele villa ademt een familiale vakantiesfeer. De eigenaars zijn erg goed bereikbaar en geven uitgebreide info mee niet alleen wat de praktische kant van de vakantie betreft, maar ook tips voor uitstappen en een overzicht van sport-en andere recreatiemogelijkheden in de omgeving. Strand op stapafstand! Clubhouse voor een snelle en lekkere snack ook op stapafstand. Tijdens ons verblijf was de temperatuur erg aangenaam en het was ook lekker surfweer. Kortom we hebben er heel erg van genoten!

Beautiful outside but too dark & damp for us inside
Mandy has been very helpful and kind, lovely hostess and very clear instructions. The house & garden are both very spacious and the kids had a fun time playing! The house however wasn’t the perfect fit for us. We stayed with two families with small children. My family stayed in the downstairs wing where it felt like sleeping in a basement. Very damp and musty. The beds upstairs and downstairs were uncomfortable, the rooms downstairs were very simple. The temperature of the water in the shower upstairs was hard to adjust and nearly burned one of the kids after first being cold for what seemed for ever. Everything including towels etc was old. There were no beach towels. Kitchen very well stocked though. The house is situated on a very uninspiring resort where as we were hoping to enjoy the authentic Portugal. We should have researched the area better. We choose the house because of its character but we might be happier with a slightly newer and more luxury home next time!

Spacious historic house with beautiful gardens
We stayed for 11 nights with teenage boys (14 and 16) The layout of the house was perfect due to the peaceful master bedroom upstairs and the boys could close off a couple of downstairs bedrooms and have their own privacy and space .i was concerned due to the lack of air conditioning but the bedrooms stayed cool with only occasional use of the supplied pedestal fan. The pool table was a bonus and the pool area private. Golf was easy to book and played several different 9 holes as a family. Highly recommend Alex surf school in Baleal - can rent surf boards and body boards or lessons. Family restaurants in Baleal and club house in resort highly recommended.Cost of living seemed cheaper than the Algarve and whole area much quieter and unspoilt. Recommend Obidos ( esp the Medieval festival )and Nazarre ( make sure to get funicular railway up the cliff) for evenings out . Would definitely come back! House is historic and we thought beautiful . Not smart or high tech and really only 4-5 Englsh TV channels.Good WiFi and owner Mandy a delight to deal with.

Highly Recommended
What a lovely villa, spacious and secluded. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and location worked perfectly for us. We could walk to the club house or beach or drive a short distance to local villages or main town of Peniche. We loved relazing by the large pool. Beautifully maintained gardens with so many flowers and fruit! We hope to return next year!

Amazingly well maintained spacious house and beautiful gardens.
What a peaceful spot and so secluded and yet only a short walk to the Clubhouse, restaurant and bar. Lovely gardens and areas to sit throughout the day in sun or shade and the conservatory overlooking the swimming pool where I could read a book and watch the children in the pool was brilliant. The house is very comfortable and well equipped we couldn't have asked for anything more. Close to Obidos, Peniche, Caldas da Rainha and so many interesting places to visit. Swimming pool was really enjoyed by the children and the large BBQ area beside the pool was brilliant. The owners were very helpful from start to finish. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful peaceful setting
We had a few days sightseeing in Lisbon before staying at the villa, which is spacious, full of character, very clean & well equipped & exceeded our expectations. It is set in a lovely peaceful location, the garden has several areas to enjoy & relax, a BBQ area & very inviting pool. The golf club house & Marriott hotel are easy walking distance. It is a good base for exploring, we visited Sintra, Obidos, Peniche, & Nazareth. Mandy the owner was very helpful when booking & we will definitely be returning.

Beautiful home in a fantastic garden
We have just came back from one week in this magnificent villa. The pictures do not justice to the home and garden.
The villa is very large and luxurious, the kitchen has everything you need and the pool very pleasant to spend a day.
The bedroom were big en enough closet space. Mandy, the owner, is really nice and very helpful,
We had a very nice diner at restaurante Nau Dos Corvos in Peniche. with the best view of Portugal.
I can recommend this villa to everyone.

Better thean de pictures
We stayed in this lovely house the last week of July with two families and a grandmother. The house is fully equipped and everything is present. Mandy is extremely helpful and willing to give extra information or in our case more towels. The graden is big and beautiful, the pool is perfect and the bed- and bathrooms are more than fine. Especially the master bedroom upstairs is of a luxury hotel quality.

La maison est spacieuse, son histoire et son architecture est intéressante (demander à Mandy) et le jardin est magnifique.
Nombreuses possibilités de visite : Obido, Peniche et les sculptures de Xico Nico au "Fortaleza", le monastère de Batalha et le marché de Santana.
La plage sauvage se situe à quelques minutes de la maison.
Et grace à la proximité de l'altantique, la chaleur est agréable au mois d'août.

Wonderfully Secluded.
Five adults had a great stay in this very spacious villa which has lovely character and lots of room. Peaceful and private. The Pool and pool room were very popular. We ate at the Em Banho Maria in Serra del Rey which was very good. Great food and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Lovely villa, highly reommnded
Stayed for a week at this lovely and spacious villa. It backs onto a quiet wood so felt really secluded. I particularly like the Portuguese styling and the fact the pool has a proper deep end so you can dive and have fun. If you are into golf it all looks great, however we rented a car and just explored this lovely part of Portugal. We found good restaurants and also had plenty of barbecues at the villa. Mandy the owner is very helpful and friendly and I would fully recommend this villa and area. David.

Lovely Traditional villa with beautiful gardens
We had a very happy holiday in this lovely villa and would definitely consider returning for another holiday. The villa is unlike most on the resort as it is traditional in style with plenty of space both inside and out. The kitchen is very well stocked and my sons loved the games room. We all enjoyed the pool and the outside barbeque. The owner could not have been more helpful. Everything about the villa shows that it has been a well loved family home. The resort is good, with the best beach by the village square. There is lots to do in the surrounding towns and villages but a car is essential. August 2014

Returned for a 3 year
Everytime it gets more beautiful, secluded garden with flowers everywhere, birds singing in the trees and the sound of the sea close by. Extremely spacious villa, BBQ-ed 3 nights in a row sitting out till 9pm in May...will be back next year.

Wonderful Villa & Gardens
We stayed in this wonderful, atmospheric villa for 8 days and would happily have stayed in the villa every day except we wanted to explore the area. The villa is very large and full of character. The pool is great and surrounded by sunny patio areas. Gardens are glorious and a young fruit garden is going to fabulous very soon. The house is stocked as well as any good home would be and the kind owners leave many beautiful things out which make it a pleasure to sit inside the house if weather is wet. Mandy was super helpful with detailed information about where to go and what to see. There is so much to see in this area and delicious seafood almost everywhere. The coastline is fabulous if a little chilly actually in the sea! Obidos lagoon is a good backup for children to safely paddle. We would happily return here and thank the owners for a wonderful holiday.

Great place to spend your holidays
We stayed 14 days in this beautiful house. One of the best spots of Praia del Rey resort. Lots of privacy, a fantastic pool (big), a well equipped house. Big rooms, everything you need is there. The owners are very kind, and give you a lot op tips (where to eat, to shop, to play golf etc). Just follow their advice, nothing to worry. Outside the resort you can visit beautiful little a bigger towns, and enjoy the very friendly atmosphere. The golfcourse is fantastic, the beach is amazing. Great place to surf.

Great place to spend your holidays
We stayed 14 days in this beatiful house. One of the best situated houses on the resort. The house is big, has all you need for a great vacation. Lots of privacy, a fantastic pool (15 meter!!). The ownners are very kind and helpfull, giving lots of good tips (where to eat, to shop, to paly golf etc, etc). We recommend this place!!

HIghly recommended accommodation
Extremely comfortable spacious villa, pretty well maintained gardens surround the villa, great BBQ area. Secluded swimming pool with tiered patio. Villa is in a quiet area of the resort away from the thorough fare yet within 5 minutes walk of the club house. M arriot Hotel is 10 minutes walk where we enjoyed great tapas. Owners were extremely helpful and adaptable to our needs, great communication. Location worked well as it took us 50 minutes from Lisbon airport and was centrally located on the coast to head out and explore P ortugal. Loved the walled city of Obidos, a must see as there are amazing views around the top walls. Peniche is a fishing village nearby with fresh seafood a plenty, we jumped on a boat from there to the Berlenga Islands for a day trip.
Lots more to explore so will definitely be back to stay

Very large mature villa with large manicured grounds and good swimming pool. Quiet location with sea about a quarter of a mile away.
Played golf at Golden eagle course some 25 minutes drive inland which was a fantastic course.
Had to go some way to find restuarants but food was very good and not expensive.
Would recommend this villa to anyone seeking a quiet sanctuary with good golf nearby. Excellent.
