The property was perhaps the best VRBO listing that we have rented! It was clean, fresh and very well equipped. The owner was great to communicate with and very helpful. I highly recommend this property.

This property is not being maintained well. The outside needs a refresh, and the inside was not clean, at all. Dust everywhere except for obvious places. Smoke alarm had no battery in it. All remotes in poor working order due to battery issues. Not cleaned thoroughly and not maintained even close to expectations.

Twin Ponds is a wonderful, serene spot in which to relax and enjoy the beauty and peace of the mountains. It's convenient to town, but once you settle in you may not want to leave! The home is spacious and bright. Lei is a very responsive host--cannot recommend highly enough.

What a wonderful home situated in a beautiful valley on top of the mountain. The view over the ponds and gardens is incredible. The house has plenty of space for a large family. We had a great time cooking in the gourmet kitchen and using the grill on the back deck. The Master Suite is immaculate. We'll be back.

My group of six ladies enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Twin Ponds!! Gorgeous accommodations, beautiful views, comfortable beds! One of our group is a gourmet cook and the kitchen was stocked with everything and more that she needed to make us an incredible dinner & brunch!!

This property is just perfect! From the location, decor, cleanliness, and decor, it's a perfect stay in beautiful Highlands. We had about 3 inches of unexpected snow and it was absolutely gorgeous when we woke up. Driveway is flat so we had no problems with our truck getting in and out into town for food and fun. We found frozen waterfalls and had fun fancy meals in town. We absolutely LOVED our stay and the property manager was so attentive and responsive. We will definitely stay here again. Plenty of room for 2 families or more. My only regret is that I forgot to sign the guest book!

We came to the Highlands on a girls trip for a 60th birthday. From the start of making the reservation everything went smooth. Great communication from owner! The house was more than perfect for our group of eight women. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep and get ready. The best part was the location! Blink and you’re in beautiful downtown highlands. Grocery store and waterfalls minutes away also. Can not recommend this house more!

The house was perfect for our group and would be ideal for large family gatherings The setting and views peaceful and pretty No complaints. The porch furniture that runs along the entire back of the house is ready for an update However we sat there every morning

We had 2 families share this house for a family wedding. The house worked well for the 10 ppl in our group. This is probably specified in the listing - but important to note that the 3 bedrooms downstairs share 1 bath and the upstairs 2 bedrooms have 2 baths (1 is a master suite). We put all of our teens and adult children downstairs, but would be different if you have 5 couples for example. The location is both very peaceful, relaxing and close to everything we wanted to do! It was a short drive to town, hikes and the wedding venue. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked. The house was very clean. Lei was super easy to communicate with!

Three couples spent six glorious days at Twin Ponds. The home is well-appointed, very comfortable and conveniently located. We would love to make plans for a return visit as soon as possible!

This was one of my favorite places we've stayed in Highlands. Close to town but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. The deck provides a great view of the community garden and lily pad pond, great for wild life watching. The host was very responsive and friendly. Plenty of room, comfortable and all the things you need! We would love to return next year!

Wonderful in every way! For those considering this as a rental thru VRBO, I strongly urge you to choose this home. Lei is wonderful and VERY responsive. Enjoy!

A beautiful home a short drive from Highlands! The house was perfect for multiple couples for a birthday celebration. Close to Highlands and the many hikes around the area. There was tons of room, it was very cozy with a fireplace and large kitchen / dining area to gather. Would love to come back when it’s warmer and we can enjoy the beautiful decks. A perfect place for couples, families and kids.

Absolutely LOVED this property! Cozy yet spacious. Plenty of room for our group of 8. We enjoyed conversations around the fireplace and games on the large kitchen table. Gorgeous deck space with peaceful surroundings, wonderful walks direct from the property. Very convenient to area hiking and towns. Will definitely come back another season to enjoy the outdoor space and fire pit! Such a gem just over 2 hours north of Atlanta!

The property was just ok. Rugs not very clean. On the door to the refrigerator it was posted that you must haul your own garbage to the dump or be charged a large surcharge. Same for the requirement that you clean outside grill if you use it. I felt the dump requirement was very unacceptable. Would not stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at twin Ponds. Everything is just as it was advertised. Dealing with Lei was very easy. The house was large and accommodating. If we find ourselves going back to Highlands we will absolutely look to stay here again.

Life long friends gathered in Highlands to celebrate the marriage of another friend's son. This home offered many special areas where we could reminisce, laugh at our memories over a 35 yeat friendship. The house is beautiful and well equipped and was only 20 minutes from the wedding venue "The Vineyard". The town was charming and close by and hiking was marvelous. Thank you for adding another great memory to an old and valued friendship. And Lei thank you for making check in so easy. We all arrived at different times but had easy access. You are the best!

Great location for getting around, hiking and seeing waterfalls but I wouldn't say it is within walking distance of town. The host/property manager is terrific - a great communicator and quick to respond to correspondence. The on site information booklet is the most thorough we have ever encountered - maps, things to do, and detailed local information. The house has lots of space and is very cozy - three outside decks with beautiful views, gas fireplace, grill and firepit. The check in and check out process was seamless. The local area has lots to offer. Don't miss breakfast at The Blue Bike Cafe in Highlands or a special dinner at On The Verandah located very near the property.

We just had a wonderful retreat to the NC mountains! It was a lovely home, plenty to walk around and see, and super close to Atlanta. Fantastic and relaxing trip!

House was in a perfect location close to town with lots of charm! It rained all 4 days we were there but the games and air hockey table were a hit! We will be back!

The house is absolutely beautiful! Cannot speak highly enough about the cleanliness of the home and the furnishings. It was a great fit for a girls weekend in Highlands! It’s in a great location and in an easy distance from downtown shopping and eating. Unfortunately, when we arrived to the home there was no propane/gas and therefore no hot water, no working kitchen, no working fireplace, etc. The homeowner did help us resolve these issues but it remained a big issue and huge inconvenience well into the second night. Once the propane was filled, we discovered a leak and the entire house had a very strong gas smell that resulted in the fire department having to come out on our second night. We were given a reimbursement for some of the stay, and I certainly understand that things happen but don’t feel the renter should be expected to pay for inconvenience or when the house and it’s services do not match the posting.
