Emilia welcomed us and her son in law translated to english so we got a lot of information.
The house is very nice and has everything you need and view from the terrace is amazing but there is noice from trafic.
Emilia is an artist and has a lot of art books and huge amount of CD´s with diffrent music.
We walked on the long beach in Somo and other walks.
In walking distance there are 4 good restaurants.

This property more than lived up to it’s description. It was beautiful inside and out. The view from the balcony was sensational.
Emilia our host was very welcoming and took the time to give us all the information and assistance to make the most of the property. She also gave us lots of guidance of where to eat and places to visit. Thank you Emilia for helping us to maximise our enjoyment.

The house is beautiful, spacious and modern with an up to date kitchen, and the garden is gorgeous, even more so than the pictures show. Although Pedrena is a small town, it has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Two restaurants in Pedrena serve excellent fresh fish. It's fun to take the ferry into Santander for sightseeing or to watch the commercial shipping traffic in and out of the port. In short, wonderful.
Emilia is a superb host, and she was helpful and supportive when we had to leave unexpectedly due to a family emergency.

What a lovely home situated in an ideal location. A short walk to the ferry to go to Somo for the beach or Santander. A restaurant at the bottom of the hill where you can order a generous potion of paella to-go to enjoy back “home”. Plenty of room for our family of five.
The kids loved the simplicity of the beach at the bottom of the hill as well at the end of the day.
Emilia was really good and responsive. She had a list of places to check out and messaged to make sure all was well.
It definetly surpassed my expectations.

We had a great stay in Pedrena at this wonderful home! Views across the bay to Santander, the mountains and sunsets were stunning. Check in and out was very easy, great wi-fi, and all the conveniences of home. The ferry to Santander is very convenient and there are many beautiful beaches just a short drive away. Ww would love to come back!

Amazing base of operations.
The care and attention paid to this property make you feel at home. Easy access, close to everything you want to do (Altamira, Guggenheim, Santander proper). What isn’t mentioned in the listing is the high quality cookware, Yamaha upright piano, huge library of art books and literature (Spanish), Denon stereo with giant classical music collection, daily fresh artisanal bread delivery, and ease of walking to the fish fruit and meat stores. Views of Santander across the bay are spectacular especially at night. Host is local and very available for recommendations. Next time we are in the area will definitely be looking for this place again. True 5 star experience.

Komfortables Haus mit tollem Blick über die Bucht auf Santander
Komfortables Haus mit ausreichend Platz für 4-6 Personen. Schöner Balkon mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Bucht und das gegenüberliegende Santander. Tolle Strände in der Umgebung wo man lange Spaziergänge machen kann und die bei unserem Besuch in der Vorsaison Anfang bis Mitte Juni nahezu leer waren. Gute Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar. Santander kann man einfach per Boot erreichen. Pedrena ist auch ein gutes Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen in Nordspanien. Die Gastgeberin Emily war sehr herzlich und sehr hilfsbereit und hat zahlreiche Tipps gegeben. Wir haben unseren Besuch sehr genossen.

Emily is a sweet, sweet hostess! She is very engaged with making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay in Pedrena perfect! By everything, I mean everything....from local insights, to bringing us Sobaos which are only sold in Santander to offering us fresh broccoli, cabbage and Swiss chard from her garden. She even texted us to make sure we knew about the time change in Spain during our stay. Her home is super comfy. Beds and linens are top notch, kitchen is fully stocked with everything a chef needs and her front deck is the perfect place for sunrises, sunsets and gazing at the Picos de Europa across the bay. We loved that we could walk and take the ferry into Santander. Definitely visit the Centro Botin Center and rent bikes and ride the coastal trail up to the Palacio de la Magdalena....breath-taking!! We also visited the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and Cabarceno (1900 acres of naturalized space reclaimed from former open-pit mines.) The primitive beauty of the karst landscape with large open enclosures you view from Gondolas is super cool and worth your time. Look no further, this is the place to rent if you want to explore the Cantabria region.

Très belle vue et maison confortable
Malgré le mauvais temps, nous avons pu profiter des très belles plages de Langre, beria, valdearenas et de la presque île de la Magdalena. Les commerces sont à proximité mais il faut impérativement une voiture (Santander à 20mn)

Huis was erg schoon en alles is aanwezig wat je nodig hebt.
Uitzicht vanaf het balkon is prachtig.
Eigenaars is altijd bereikbaar en heeft goede adviezen gegeven voor restaurantjes en mooie plekken in de streek.
Het huis is echt een aanrader.

Aangenaam vakantiehuis in Pedrena (Catalonië)
Het huis heeft een mooi uitzicht, is zeer netjes, Goede uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes. Ligt dicht bij Somo ( min rijden met de wagen), een paradijs voor surfers (waar ook goede restaurants zijn). Eigenaar spreekt alleen maar Spaans, dit is soms een beetje moeilijk maar is wel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De keuken is aan vernieuwing toe. Het huis ligt wel aan een drukke weg en een druk restaurant. Dit geeft wel geluidsoverlast. redelijke hoge prijs. Het was een aangenaam verblijf.

Wunderschönes Haus, perfekter Standort für viele Ausflüge
Das Haus ist wunderschön. Es ist genau so, wie beschrieben. Emilia, unsere Gastgeberin war unglaublich herzlich und freundlich und hat uns viele Tipps für Ausflüge gegegeben. Es gibt tolle Strände, leere Buchten, die Berge und natürlich Santander ganz in der Nähe. Aber auch bis Bilbao ist es nicht weit. Insgesamt war es einfach ein toller Urlaub.

Wirklich empfehlenswert!
Geräumiges und sehr gepflegtes Haus in einer ruhigen Wohngegend mit einem wundervollen Blick auf die Bucht zwischen Santander und Predena. Auch bei einer Belegung mit 6 Personen gibt es hier genügend Möglichkeiten zu entspannen.
Hierzu trägt sicherlich auch der große Garten bei. Wenn man gerne selber kocht, und Kantabrien bietet sehr gute Produkte, ist alles, was man braucht, vorhanden.
Mehrstündige Spazierwege entlang der Bucht sind gut möglich und die Strände von Somo sind auch schnell erreichbar. Da kann man das Auto stehen lassen.
Die gute Anbindung an die Fähre nach Santander – circa 5 Gehminuten- ist ebenfalls sehr gut.
Besonders erwähnenswert ist aber die Gastgeberin Frau Trueba (und ihre Tochter), die sich besonders herzlich mit Rat und Tat und vielen guten Tipps um das Wohl der Gäste kümmern.
La casa es espaciosa y está muy bien cuidada. Está en una zona residencial tranquila con una maravillosa vista de la bahía entre Santander y Predeña. Incluso con 6 personas hay suficiente espacio y posibilidades para relajarse, como por ejemplo en el gran jardín. Si te gusta cocinar (Cantabria ofrece muy buenos productos) tienes todo lo que necesitas.
Es posible dar paseos de varias horas a lo largo de la bahía. También se llega muy rápido a la playa de Somo, donde se puede aparcar el coche.
La conexión con el ferry a Santander (a unos 5 minutos a pie) es muy buena.
Especialmente digna de mención es la anfitriona, la Sra. Trueba (y su hija), que se ocupa del bienestar de los huéspedes y da muchos buenos consejos.

Magnifica casa!
Hemos pasado unos días maravillosos en casa de Emilia! La casa es magnífica, con unas vistas a la bahía de Santander que quitan el hipo. Recomiendo a todo el mundo que venga, no se arrepentirán! Nosotras volveremos seguro a disfrutar de esta maravillosa tierra y de esta casa de ensueño.

Great House, stunning view, fabulous host
We spent our family holiday with three kids at Emilias place. It was just fantastic. Emilia gave us a warm welcome and was really very nice. The house is modern and has everything you need. The view from the terrace is just amazing. You see the mountains, the bay, Santander, all the boats, it is really great. In Pedrena there is everything you need, super charcuterie, fish-shop, vegetables and fruits, groceries.
We enjoyed the stay a lot!

Muy bien
La estancia en la casa ha sido muy agradable, está muy bien equipada y es un lugar para disfrutar. La situación es perfecta para realizar excursiones por la zona y también para ir a la playa si hace buen tiempo (hay muchas playas cerca de la casa). Emilia está absolutamente pendiente de cualquier detalle tanto de la casa como de la estancia. Muy recomendable para familias.

Great property and lovely people
Property has amazing views over the bay and the balcony is a lovely place to sit on a warm summer's evening. The house is very comfortable and pretty spacious. Wonderful hi-fi system and TV which was a bonus as we had some bad weather. There are 5 restaurants within 5 minutes walk - some selling fresh BBQ fish. There is also a very good butchers, fishmongers, grocery and small supermarket within 5 minutes walk. Plus the ferry to Santander is just down the hill. The owners are very kind and willing to help out with any information or other issues concerning the house. They definitely want anyone visiting to make the most of the area and enjoy their holiday. We would be very happy to go back.
Santander can be reached by the ferry (15 minutes) and has plenty of shops, restaurants and museums. There is also a very good market and the Botin centre that are worth a visit.
Somo is a lovely long sandy beach with plenty of room for everyone. (Somo can also be reached by ferry). If you are into water sports there are surfing schools (with English speaking instructors) etc in the town. If you feel up to it you can walk to either end of the beach - with Loredo at the far end.
It is also worth taking a trip inland to places like Lierganes or the Altamira Caves.

Merveilleux séjour
Nous avons eut la chance de louer la magnifique maison d'Emilia. La vue sur Santander est â couper le souffle ,de jour les bateaux, la mer etc...et le soir, les lumières de la ville.
La maison et spacieuse, lumineuse et tres propre. Nous avons été accueillis par Emilia et sa fille, adorables de gentillesse et disponibles pour donner tous les renseignements. La maison est proche de tout, plein de restaurants à proximité et des magasins pour faire ses courses, l'environnement calme et facile d'accès. Je recommande avec enthousiasme de séjourner ici, si proche de Santander sans le bruit de la ville.

schönes Haus mit wunderbarer Aussicht
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Haus sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, hat einen schönen Garten und einen Balkon mit Aussicht auf die Bucht von Santander. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Das Haus ist gut gelegen, Ausflüge nach Santander und an die Strände sind ohne Auto möglich. Prachtig uitzicht over de baai van Santander
Ruim, gerieflijk huis met prachtig uitzicht over de baai. Alles bij de hand : supermarktje, vis, vlees -en fruitwinkel, restaurant, strand, ....
Zeer lieve gastvrouw die voor alles klaarstond : tips voor uitstapjes, verse groenten uit eigen tuin, had je iets tekort, dan bracht ze het.

Fabulosas vacaciones!
Ciertamente la casa dispone de unas vistas espectaculares que ayudan al descanso. La casa está muy bien diseñada y construida, es muy cómoda y agradable, incluso con él mal tiempo. La propietaria nos ha tratado fabulosamente, manteniendo la cercanía necesaria para que nos sintiéramos a gusto, como en casa. La zona dispone de todos los servicios necesarios, restaurantes, frutería, supermercado, farmacia, .. Lo mejor los paseos por la playa y el viaje en barco a Santander. La zona tiene algo de ruido por el tráfico pero la casa está perfectamente aislada. Repetiremos!

A splendid, very clean and spacious home . We stayed in summer and it was great to visit the region , full of culture and gastronomy . The lovable owner recommended us several beaches and restaurants where we were great. Besides all, it was a pleasure to have the boat in the morning to travel to the city .
