It is in a lovely setting and the rooms are very comfortable. It was great to have a fan and a shower that became warm! The pool was small but refreshing. The staff were very friendly.
It was disappointing to find the restaurant closed as we were looking forward to it, but the staff did order food for us from a local restaurant. There was quite a bit of noise from other guests I think during the night.

Incredible setting. Outgoing and considerate staff.
Nothing to mention. I liked it was out of town

Everything was excellent!
Especially the staff was super nice, friendly and helpful.
The place is very beautiful and quiet, situated on the jungle. There is beautiful Shaka for yoga where you can meditate.
Everything was awesome!

The ecovillage is situated around a 10 minute drive from the airport.
Beautfully set out, bedrooms where fantastic, food was amazing. Great for a place to relax before i headed out to tge jungle.
The shower could have been a little more powerful. However no complaints its was warm and we were out in the jungle

The staff is incredibly welcoming and kind. The facilities are gorgeous and well kept, and the environment is truly stunning. The included breakfast and optional lunch/dinner are absolutely delicious.

The staff were really enthusiastic and ready to help in any way they could.

Everything. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to look after us. The food was exceptional, we had many meals there and every meal was 3 courses of deliciousness (hopefully you’re lucky enough to try the homemade profiteroles). The rooms were big and clean.
We also saw many monkeys playing in the trees near our apartment one afternoon.

Beautiful hotel with huge, comfortable rooms, bathrooms and balconies with all modcons. Pool was stunning and tranquil. Staff were very helpful at the bar and restaurant. We had an incredible and good value 3 course vegetarian dinner (not veggie but was fantastic) and a delicious breakfast included. Perfect wind down from the Amazon rainforest.
Location is not central but perfect hotel if not looking to go out much/there for short time.

Breakfast an Lunch were amazing, dinner was okay. Jean Pierre, the junior manager was amazing and helpful. Also Alessandra was amazing and great help. We'd love to come back for sure.
Rooms were pretty damp and smelled wet, but well, thats the jungle of course. :)

The staff were so friendly and smiley and really helpful. The place is very calm and beautiful, swimming poll is lush and the rooms are spacious and the beds very comfy. I slept so well.
The restaurant is fantastic.
It was a real treat to stay here after being bitten by lots of bugs in the jungle and staying somewhere very rustic.
Thanks so much for everything.

the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing
the location was a taxi ride from the town and was not on the river but we were picked up for all of our excursions and were very happy to spend time relaxing and dining at the lodge

Quiet area, more in the jungle but still close enough walking distance to town (40min walk or so). There was a lot of tours available albeit pricey. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast in the morning was fantastic (free breakfast is always good but this went above and beyond).
Reception is NOT 24/7. Something that should be changed on all their websites. As a solo female traveller who is just starting out it was very scary for me to me be expecting someone to answer the door at 6am when nobody was there. I waited outside unable to get into the property, the road and area is a bit rural so it just freaked me out. I later found that reception is on from 7am-9pm most days. Hours should really be updated on all their listings. Also food there is WAY overpriced lol, go into town and theres two vegetarian restaurants that I visted and one of them had a full course meal (soup or some side plus the main [rice and vegetables or some curry, it was glorious]) for only 9/Sol. Also their tours are pretty pricey but they partner with a tour company that actually has their own hotel/hostel.

The location is amazing, the staff is very friendly, professional and caring, including the two mascottes Buddha and Papaya.
Great attention to the details and customer oriented. Transports can be arranged at location, including VIP excursions. The village also offers delicious lunches and dinner menus at a great price. Absolutely recommended if you are looking for a base in between the excursions in the Amazon.
It takes 10 minutes by car or tuctuc to reach the plaza de armas, which is not a big issue per se, as not much is going on in Puerto Maldonado anyway and the trip costs about 10 S/

staff were amazing, hotel was beautiful, food was delicious!
the ceiling fan had chains hanging off it and it made it really loud so we couldn’t have it on at night so it was really hot

A little bit of luxury in the jungle.
Helpful staff.
All good.

Lovely rooms and splendid staff
We were hoping for the location to be surrounded by forests and nature, which is not the case.

This place is a hidden gem. From the moment you cross the gates of Kapievi you know you are in a special place. The owner speaks very good English, there is always a cold beer ready for you at the reception, the area is full of birds and other creatures that live in the area and everything is built in a minimalist eco-friendly but solid style. To be honest I haven't seen many mosquitoes which is nice plus. Anthony will help you with anything you need, from taxis to trips to the jungle and food recommendations. Don't hesitate - book before it is too late. There are not many rooms available (which makes the place feel very secure and well calm and quiet).
Maybe make breakfast a little bit bigger. But I assume this is more a cultural thing - we eat a lot in the morning in my country ;) I haven't really eaten a big breakfast in the whole country.

Nice rooms with a wonderful bed. Very friendly staff.
The ecovillage is located relatively close to the small city of Puerto Maldonado. At night it was
a bit noisy. If you want to have a more tranquil place it might be advisable to stay further away from the city.

The staff were all super friendly and the decor of the place was great. They helped us set up tours with a company. They gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary.
We stayed in the bungalow and while it was cute and spacious, the walls were thin and we could not sleep due to a party going on 1km away. Other guests who were not in bungalows said they did not get as much noise. The curtains were also sheer providing little privacy and relief from light at night. Guests should be offered ear plugs and an eye mask. I was also surprised the mosquito netting did not close all the way around the bed. The food was not great either. Breakfast eggs were smothered in oil and dinner was not appetizing either. We had better luck eating in town or ordering from a nearby restaurant. We had to pay for bottled water but I wasn't told until the 2nd day I could fill up my water in the kitchen.

Very kind host, really nice and quiet place. Very good restaurant

This is a little slice of paradise. The delicious meals are thoughtfully created with local sustainable ingredients. Their recommendations for food in town were also excellent only a short drive away. We loved sitting in the luscious gardens or by the pool on the lookout for birds, tamarins and sloths. The rooms were great. It's also close to the amazon wildlife refuge which is worth a visit. We walked there and saw so many different monkeys and other animals on the way. This is a gorgeous family owned and run lodge and would highly recommend.

amazing villa with very friendly owner😊 we really enjoy a lot the stay and feeling in the middle of rainforest. The hotel is not in the city center, however it is very easy to take taxi to city center and most of the hotel in this area are anyway not in the center.
highly recommended! book it and you won’t regret

This small ecovillage was our favorite place to stay on our whole Peru trip. Anthony and Sebastian were the most wonderful and relaxed hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and fun. The rooms were very tasteful and clean with the most comfortable beds. The surroundings were beautiful- we saw monkeys and birds right from our balcony- and there is a resident sloth. The pool was a great place to hang out. Breakfast was a combination of local fruit, eggs local bread and you can have lunch and dinner there as well. The vegetarian food served was delicious. They can arrange a number of excursions with a local tour operator that were all wonderful. We went on day trips that allowed us to see great wildlife and learn more about the Amazon basin.
It is a little outside of town but you can get a taxi easily if you want to get there. We had such a good time there we would return if we could. I recommend to spend at least 2-3 days there.
nothing really
a few more shelves in the room to organize belongings would be nice but not essential.

Very good hosts - Anthony and Sebastian; bungalow which we chose was very different with two floors, the top floor with 2 beds and the ground floor with 1 large bed with an attached small kitchenette and bath. The bungalow opens at the back to the pool and garden. The whole setting is very natural. Location is bit away from town center but still accessible with 5-10 minute taxi rides. Breakfast is limited but good. The dinner is excellent but please also note that for much less than the price charged there are also fantastic options available in the town center.

Antoni and the staff were so sweet and made our stay wonderful. They were so kind and helpful with everything from calling taxis for us, recommending restaurants, booking a tour and accommodating our dietary restrictions. Our stay was too short and we wished we had more time to stay at the lovely ecovillage. Highly recommend a stay with Kapievi Ecovillage.
