Wonderful view of the Matterhorn! The staff in the restaurant was excellent, and the food was excellent too. I would return just for the good food and view.
The staff was not all friendly at the front desk, with some confusion about the hours of the restaurant. The neighborhood was ugly and in the only part of the town that is not charming, so that's why I give it 8 out of 10.

From arrival to departure we had a wonderful time at Alpen Resort, it was on a great location. Rooms and spa was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful to answer questions. Breakfast was yummy but it would be nice to switch the menu every other day especially if you’re staying for a few days, you will be eating the same breakfast everyday. Aside from that, our stay was perfect!

A beautiful pool, spa, sauna, steam room area. It was very hot while we were there and this was great to come back to. I also liked that breakfast was included. Our room had a view of the Matterhorn, which was lovely.
The room was not as nice as it appears in the pictures, our boys who are 17 and 19 found the loft area annoying to sleep in, cause they kept hitting their heads, but would be fun for little kids. The bar fridge didn’t really keep drinks cold, which was annoying cause we were so hot and uncomfortable, there was no air conditioning. I felt like I splurged on this place at around A$700 per night and I was really looking forward to the stay, so I was a little disappointed when I got there. However, I think Zermatt is generally pretty expensive and we probably could have paid a lot more. I think if the weather was cooler we would have enjoyed our stay more. I don’t understand why hotels in Europe don’t invest in air conditioning. After a day in the sun all you want to do is come home to some comfort.

We had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the view would have been fantastic although unfortunately bad weather obscured the Matterhorn. We very much enjoyed hanging out in the outdoor hot tub.

the location, nice rooms with great view
small thing: sown guests received welcome drinks while others don’t. it seems to depend on the package you booked. differences in services levels are for sure ok. but sich an obvious difference as the first impression is not great. It mads us feel like second grade guests

The Spa area is amazing. The kids (12 and 15) totally loved the pool.
The restaurant staff is mostly nice. There are one or two that try too hard, and one or two that don't try hard enough.
The location is on the left of the station. Most of the village is on the right. If you want to ski or board, there is one lift and area close. If you want to ski on the gletscher, the hotel is quite far away. But free electric buses are plenty.
Staff was very flexible, allowing us to use the Spa area after check out and before we got on the train.
The staff moved our luggage from the luggage room to a small room across from the reception. It was not ideal for changing into our travel clothes.

It's great hotel with amazing spa. Our family room with extra bedroom for kids was nice, modern and quite roomy, considering. Spa and outside jacuzzi was amazing. Good bar. Great stuff. Cosy lobby area and bar. Smoking lounge. Good breakfast.
All was really just perfect. I travel a lot and this was one of the best hotels.
I would recommend rent skis at flexrent in front of Sunnega and leave them there overnight instead carrying to the hotel every night.

cold room. could not turn off the light behind the bed and had to wear eye patch every night. had to sleep with extra warm clothing, uncomfortably cold and I was not alone. Building C was cold for my friend as well.

Zermatt is a very good resort offering plenty of ski possibilities for everyone. Ski lifts well organised, also Gonergrad Bahn was very attracticeve.
Hotel is very comfortable, nice lobby, very comfortable room, SPA was also very good with sauna, steam bath, outside jakusi, pool. There is ski room and everything to feel good!
Breakfast was good, enough varieties for everyone. Coffee was very good too!
There was nice view to Matterhorn from the room.
Good location, close to the center, I'll choose the same hotel next time.

Good location only 5 minutes walk from station and ski hire.

Loved the easy access to everything. We could take the elevator to health spa and pools. Restaurant close, good, tasty.
Minor issue. You need a night light in bathroom. I found the need for a light, just leaving the bathroom light on is too bright.

Location, food , relaxing facilities, services, room with the view. All staff was friendly and supportive.
1. No tissues / napkins in the room ( had to use toilet paper )
2. No humidifiers in the room ( our son could not go skiing for the whole stay as he experienced repeated nasal bleeds daily as the air was extremely dry )
3. Would appreciate king size beds without diving crease and one big blanket instead of 2 small ones

The size of the room was bigger than we expected and very comfortable. The wellness area (sauna, steam room, whirlpool tubs, etc.) was really relaxing and enjoyable after each of our days of skiing. The location was perfect, a quick 2 min. walk to a grocery store and bus stop. 5 min. walk to the main train station, Gornergratt train and main shopping / restaurant street. The breakfast was delicious and the view was perfect from our room, exactly what we were expecting.
There is nothing that could have been better. The location was perfect and easy to get everywhere, the staff were all super helpful and friendly, even provided some good dinner and ski rental suggestions. We had an amazing stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know visiting Zermatt.

hotel location near Zermatt station. It is just 300m by walk. Terrace can see matterhorn view.

Hotel requested our credit card gaurantee damage thing when we checked in. We already paid full amount before check in.
