This is not 5* hotel! The food option are very limited, I couldnot believe how little there was. Our bathroom was smelling terribly and the bath was leaking. Kids club is just there but nothibg is going on. Children are left there on its own. Very slippery around the pool, we have seen older lady falling, definitely something should be done.

Loved the Royal part of the hotel. We upgraded to one of their rooms with a private pool and it was amazing. Made the holiday. The reception stafff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Really liked them. The waiting staff worked so hard! Never seemed to get a day off and they all worked breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lovely clean rooms every 2nd day which I thought was fair enough as they don’t have to be done daily.

I thought the entertainment could have been better. The same thing was on every day so if you’re not a water polo or volleyball fan you struggle to get involved. Outwith b’fast lunch and dinner there wasn’t much to eat which was disappointing. Just a slice of water melon or a donut and the drinks were a bit uninspiring and nothing branded.

Good location, the whole place is very photogenic. It is very good that you can use hotel beach with hotel beach bar (Maria that works there is the best!). Ladies at reception are also very nice.

Food is below avarage. Restaurant seams quite dirty. Also, I have never seen anybody cleaning toilets (or addinng soap) as well as pool area. To get a drink (even water for a child) at evenings is a nightmare! It means standing in line for at least 15 minutes while 2 persons at the bar are taking their job very relaxing.

Lots to do for everyone, entertainment staff were lovely. Breakfast & Lunch options were decent. Very well maintained and clean throughout Water park was a lot of fun Lots of drink options- however staff at the main bar located in the reception weren’t very friendly and there’s only 2 of them there in the evenings which leads to long waiting times Well located beach

Swimming pools were excellent. Staff that were there were really good, helpful.

Not enough staff at the restaurants or bars. Meant long waits for drinks or service. Tables weren’t cleared for new new dinners arriving. Lack of variety for meals. Not enough options for childrens meals.

We had our worst holiday ever. We booked a family suites with private pool, the room description says it comes with a large double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed but the room only had a large double bed and a bunk bed. On our arrival my 3 years old climbed the bed, the side on the top was not secured properly, he fell off the bed on hard flooring and rushed to emergency, he was hospitalised for 3 days and xray and CT scan shows a fractured sinus. The hotel manager had no sympathy and took no responsibility. He said “the bunk bed secures with a key”, i asked him to come to the room and show me such a key, there was nothing he could show me, in fact the bunk bed was a convertible sofa bed which is not safe and secure for children when it’s converted to bunk bed. I asked him to move us to the room that was supposed to be given in the first place, a family suite with private pool that comes with a large double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed. These rooms with these description are located on the other side the resort, he moved us there but my son had to pay a big price for their irresponsibility in providing safety for their clients. Since then they have changed the description on their family suite rooms with private pool, now it says the room comes with a double bed and a sofa bed, they have learned their lesson not to convert the sofa bed to bunk beds but are refusing to pay any compensation. Not to mention the resort is more like a 3 star resort with repetitive breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

Suite was excellent, spacious and beautiful with luxurious design and elegant furnitures. Clean and huge bathroom with shower, toilet paper, bathrobes, slippers, towels and shampooing. View was amazing, garden and pool was extremely great. Rates were good for the season. Definitely I would like to be here and the next summer. Cheers guys, keep up the good work!

What a fabulous resort with water park! Wonderful and in a beautiful location. Loved the cleanliness and the well manicured gardens with the tall palm trees. Great presentation of the suite with the modern furnitures and great view to the sea. Very peaceful and with great facilities. Delicious breakfast, lovely room, beautiful surroundings, great (and very attentive) service, extremely friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. Overall a brilliant stay. Will definitely be back.

Excellent exterior concept, personalized service with thorough detail. Very positive energy that makes one feel at home. The restaurant has a delicious menu and perfect views to the beautiful sea. Top notch hotel achieved the perfection. Whole staff was also genteel and lovely. All in all made you feel so comfortable and part of the hotel’s family! I would hopefully will, come back here with no hesitation!

Friendly staff, especially the guys at the front desk and at the room service. They treated us like royalty and had a great sense of humour and a service ethic second to none. Great food, brunch and breakfast. The room was spacious and quiet. A/C, TV, bathrobes, slippers, fresh towels all was included in our room. Reception and concierge staff were helpful and pleasant. Reason for visit: Romantic birthday celebration. Next Destination: Rethymno Mare and water park again!

Best experience I have had for a long,long time. Room was excellent cozy and with comfy double bed. Internet was fast in whole places of the hotel. Beautiful surroundings, the best water park ever, nice pool, amazing beach and the food options available at Rethymno Mare was exceptional.

During my stay here and I was blown away how beautiful the resort is. It's so peaceful and relaxing. The staff are friendly and engaging, the restaurant menu is amazing. My room view was really nice, it was nice to wake up to the lovely birds and the wonderful view of the pool. I can't wait to take my husband again to experience this resort!

Stunning location, the room was simple perfect. Clean and tidy hotel in whole venues. Best view on Rethymno town.The service was great. The cocktail at the poolside bar was the best. We had a nice stay. Thanks for everything! See you next time!

Beautiful place, nice location and it's very easy to get here, the check in experience is smooth and friendly. The infinity pool is terrific such as our room too. With large double bed, comfortable pillows and mattress. I wish I had the time to stay longer.

Superb overall experience. Fantastic resort with wow suites. Exceptional service and friendly staff. My special thanks goes to the front desk and room service, as well as to the waiters at Jasmine snack bar. Pool was spacious with many facilities and the SPA was the best. I supose you have to come here at least one time in your life.

Front desk was amazing and was great at helping us with requests. The room we had (balcony facing the pool) was beautiful and very well maintained and clean. Overall an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Wonderful hotel with spacious pool, fish spa service, restaurant, pool bar, water sports, studio spa massage, which is located on top town of Rethymno city and the views from our suite were breathtaking. There were plenty of loungers available and again amazing service by the staff around the snack bar Jasmine who we ordered drinks and food from. I loved to stay soon again.

We had an amazing stay at the Rethymno Mare & Water Park in Rethymno. The hotel is amazing with beautiful decor and amazing staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of options and the staff were so helpful and friendly and accommodating. Overall was an amazing stay.

The hotel itself is gorgeous , such a huge property with outstanding views of the mountains and the sea. We stayed in a family suite with a private pool and got a glorious view of the sunset every night. The staff was the best I’ve ever come across, all so helpful and friendly and truly enhanced my stay. Especially the bar men and women just do an amazing job and are great fun! There is so much to do around the area and food and drink all served in multiple places across the hotel. There was a wide variety of food to choose from every night , even for the pickiest of eaters and with the full board package any drink is included with a huge range of cocktails. An overall amazing hotel and would recommend everyone to visit at-least once :)

The entire staff was polite and friendly. Room had a balcony with beautiful view to the ocean and the pool. Whole hotel was clean, the lobby area, the poolside, the restaurant and smells fresh. Room service and check in were fast and attentive. Recommended 100%

My wife and I stayed here for a little time and we loved it! The location is great and you can’t beat the price. Our room was spacious and spotless. Double bed was large and comfortable. Bathrobes and towels were available in the bathroom. Food at the restaurant was tasty as the breakfast too. All was in a very fair prices and I would like to stay here again soon.

Most of the staff were very unprofessional. The food was rubbish had to eat out most nights as there was not a lot to choose from and kids wouldn’t eat anything. Definitely not a 5 star hotel not even 4 star in my opinion. Would never stay there again.
