Very nice! Spacious apartment with big windows, a huge terrace, four sitting areas (+balconies). The kids had so much fun swimming and splashing around all day. They just came out to switch to the whirlpool from time to time (which has different lightings). Because of the hot summer, it was lovely that there is some shadow in the afternoon on some part of the big pool. We were grateful for the air conditioning in the house and had a TV night in the comfy living room area. We enjoyed cooking in the authentic, beautiful kitchen and ate on the upper deck. The highlight was the stunning view over the village and ocean, especially at night with all the lights on. The children were still swimming late at night. The lightening on the terrace/pool and the two palm trees/plants are also pretty. The house was clean and the caretaker in town helpful and friendly. The house had everything we needed (washing machine, cleaning utensils, candles, good Internet :) and so on) and we had a great time!

What can I say about this villa other than "wow", the property location is second to none with a picture postcard view.....Blue skies and sea in the day and the spectacular backdrop of the castle in the evening, you simply couldn't get better. Everything about our stay was perfect and the communication with the owner was great throughout the whole process, nothing was a bother. All in all this was an incredible holiday in a stunning villa in the perfect location and I can't wait to return!!!!

We stayed in February, and had a really good time. The villa is excellent: spacious, clean, well equipped, nice views, and a really nice heated pool and hot tub. Lots to do in the area.

Really easy process from start to finish. Property is stunning , lots of terraces to sit out on and relax. Loved sitting in front of the big windows looking down to salobrena in mornings. Our stay was fantastic. The villa is exactly like the photos. When we arrived everything was very clean. The sea view is wonderful. The heated pool was at 30 °. We were able to swim in November. The jacuzzi is very clean. We thank our host who was very helpful. Salobrena is a very pleasant town, with its castle, its promenade along the beach etc ...

This is a fantastic property, reasonably priced, in a wonderful location. You won’t get better Mediterranean views anywhere. Lots of nice places to sit inside and outside to enjoy the view over the valley. We had the pool heated as we stayed in the middle of March and enjoyed the hot tub as well. Only an hour away from Granada and still can get to Córdoba or Seville in 2.5 hours. Oceanside town of Nerja is only 20 minutes away and well worth a visit. Malaga airport is about 1 hour away. We enjoyed walking through the whitewashed village of Salobreña up to its fort/castle. There are medallions set in the walkways which guide you up through the delightful village to help you reach the top, though the first one is a challenge to find- ask locals. A number of nice restaurants on the beach, we enjoyed Bahia the most. A nice community park is available a short walk from the home with tennis, playground, and another pool. Felt very safe in this location and neighborhood. Temperatures were between 60-75 Fahrenheit all week second week of March. Lidl supermarket is the best out of the choices in town. Guaranteed great vacation if you choose this home!

We booked this accomodation in an early stage, based on the information provided on the Homeaway site. When we arrived this February 2020 we were very impressed. The view from the villa is breathtaking. The accomodation offered all we need. The heated pool and wirlpool were fantastic. Salobrena and Motril are close by, nice places. Granada and Alhambra are close too.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit toller Lage. Beste Meersicht auf allen Ebenen des Wohnhauses und des sehr großen Terassenbereichs. Der Pool hat durch seine Lage in den Wintermonaten nur zum Teil Sonne, jedoch eine sehr gute Poolheizung! Kleiner Nachteil ist die derzeit schon recht starke Bautätigkeit in der Nachbarschaft! Ohne diesen schon zum Teil sehr lauten Maschinenlärm, hätten wir die angenehme Ruhe der Abende und der Wochenenden auch an den Werktagen genießen können. Da wir nur mit 4 Erwachsenen (Eltern + Sohn mit Freundin) das Haus bewohnt haben, war die Schlafzimmerwahl mit 2-mal Meerblick kein Problem. Das dritte Schlafzimmer hat leider keine "Außenfenster" sondern nur ein Fenster zum Treppenhaus, wäre somit max. ein Zimmer für kleinere Kinder. Das Preis-Leitungsverhältnis ist in den Wintermonaten gut, jedoch bewegt sich die Preisgestalltung in den Sommermonaten schon an der oberen Grenze. Unter Berücksichtigung der umfangreichen Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten für uns somit ein perfektes Reiseziel für die Wintermonate. Es wird nicht unser letzter Urlaub in Salobrena gewesen sein. Heated pool great and hot tub a nice luxury on any less warm evenings. Salobreña itself is charming with its castle well laid out beach area and surrounding farming land. An oasis only an hour from the madness of Malaga. Finally I must add that the owners and manager are exceptionally accommodating and helpful with any small issues. Can’t wait to return. Thank you.

Villa Mar Azul is a beautiful house on the hillside above Salobrena. It has been designed so that the wonderful views can be seen from the huge windows in the living areas and the main bedrooms. There are also many outside spaces (both in the shade and in the sun) where you can sit and relax as well as a heated pool and a hot tub. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you can think of and the whole house is furnished like this: large bathrooms with soaps and towels, extensive storage in the bedrooms, and games, books, cds and travel information. Fast wi fi. Even rugs in case you want to sit outside in the evening and it is a bit chilly. The whole house is very comfortable and has both air conditioning and heating which was important to us as we went in March. In fact the weather was beautiful and we needed neither, although we chose to pay to have the pool heated and it was and excellent decision as it was even warm enough for me and I feel the cold! The house is in a very attractive quiet area with off street, secure parking. I would say that you need a car. The town of Salobrena is an ancient one with a castle on the hill and a more modern development along the coast. Eating out is not expensive and it is under an hour to go to Granada, half an hour to Nerja (bigger town) and Frigiliana (a pretty hillside town). The whole area ('Costa Tropical') is much less developed than the Costa del Sol and we did not see any nightclubs, 'pubs' or places selling 'English Breakfast'. In fact, during our ten days , we only heard a couple of English tourists - most people were Spanish. However the restaurants usually have menus in English (and often French and German too). If you want more of the 'real' Spain, this is the place for you. We greatly enjoyed our time at the villa and hope to return soon.

The property is calm, modern and clean. The large terrace has a fantastic view towards the sea, it is perfect for sun bathing. I strongly recommend this property for anyone willing to relax and recharge their batteries. The property is well located to go for nice walks both along the sea side and in the mountains.

The villa is well fitted out with everything needed for a 'home from home'. More info in English would be helpful for the washing machine and dish washer. Very comfortable seating areas and beds. Ideally suited for six people plus baby cot (if needed) but not for eight as the folding beds were definitely not comfortable even for one night (unless being used by a young child).

We had a fabulous stay in this fantastic villa. Situated in a quiet area, with wonderful views of Salobrena town and the mediterrainan sea. The villa was fully equipped with everything you need, both inside, and in the outdoor area. Everything was nice and clean, and we loved the heated pool and the jacuzzi. We highly reccomend a vacation in this villa - we will come back for sure!

Quick response from owner and everything was in order during our stay. The heated and lighted pool was nice, so was the jacuzzi. We also liked that a lot of tv channels was in place and that the Wifi was steady and up to speed. The weather was not at its best this week, but the villa was.

It's really good place to stay at with all accommodation and travel around in area. Heated swimming pool and jacuzzi in the evening- super relax after all day.

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is zeer goed. De villa is van alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaar is bijzonder aardig en eerlijk. En de beheerder is zeer behulpzaam.

We had a great stay at the villa. The views were stunning, from the terraces, the pool and jacuzzi area and also from the kitchen, living room and the two front bedrooms. We could look at the sea, the city of Salobrena and the mountains at the same time - fantastic. We enjoyed the weather and despite the time of year we could use the patio and cook our dinner outside on the Weber gas grill, most of the time. We also used the heated pool and the jacuzzi a lot. Both so relaxing - pool in the morning and jacuzzi by night. Upon arrival we felt very welcome - also a bottle of red wine were waiting for us. The villa had all the amenities we had hoped for. It was like a home away.. We could watch TV with english, german and all nordic channels on the list. Nice, even though we did not use it a lot - wifi was also appreciated - even useable outdoor. The villa was tidy and well maintained. We got a very good customer service and the owner responded quickly on email. The deposit were returned shortly after departure. In Salobrena we visited a few restaurants. We do recommend La Biznaga. The owner recommended the restaurant to us and we loved the place. Very good food and super service. You will need a rental car when staying at the house. There is some 2,5 km to the nearest restaurant or shop. You could though get a taxi to town for around 10 euros. In all, we loved the place and will highly recommend it. We hope to come back in the near future.
