Friendly welcome, beautiful villa and lovely (shared) pool.

Arrived in heatwave and it was hot after dark.

We stayed at Le Cube 2. The house was extremely well equipped and maintained, it had everything we needed for cooking, relaxing, and even a little box with children's toys! Everything was spotless clean and the view of the terrace was stunning. We enjoyed the area for day trips to Carcassonne (1 h), Narbonne (30 min), the Reserve Africaine de Sigean (10 min) and Collioure (1 h). Leucate and Port La Nouvelle, each 10 min by car, were nice for lunch close to the beach. The hosts were very friendly! If you stay at the Cubes, there is no WiFI in the house but there is good mobile coverage.

Most groceries and things were outside of La Palme and a car is needed for that. The house is next to the cemetery, it didn't bother us particularly, but might be worth to mention for some travellers.

Loved the wooden interior design and the light coming in from the sliding glass doors. Our kids loved the hammock and the nice pool of course. We really enjoyed having dinner on and watching the view from the big balcony. Our hosts were really friendly and helped us out with ideas on which restaurants to visit in different places. The mornings offered nice scenery while jogging past vineyards, bird sanctuaries, salins, the old city center and of course finally into the local boulangerie to get freshly baked baguettes, pain au chocolates, mille feuilles and eclairs. Great location to reach different nice places. We went to Carcassonne, Sigean, Peyriac-de-Mer, Leucate, Collioure, Narbonne and Spain. Great place, would love to visit again!

Beautifully decorated villa with a 'beach hut' seaside theme. Lots of space and a super large bathroom. Great swimming pool ideal for cooling off and doing lengths. All the kitchen equipment you would need. Excellent information book for the villa and attractions and places to eat. Frederique speaks excellent English and very helpful when we arrived and during our stay. Location, pool and the outside terrace mean you can just spend time relaxing onsite if you wish. Alternatively there's plenty of beaches to choose from within 14kms. All the surrounding countryside is dominated by vineyards (It's the Fitou region) so plenty of domains to visit and wines to taste.

There was a fairly constant strong wind that made sitting on the beach less than comfortable but kite surfers and wind surfers were in their element. Last week of September saw some restaurants and bars closing for the end of the season and many closed Sunday evening's until Wednesday so be prepared to self-cater those evenings.
