The location is right on the water next to a little half mile walking trail on the coast. The yard is large enough to lounge or workout in while watching and listening to the ocean. The entire house is incredibly clean and up to date. The beds are comfortable and clean with white linen. Check out was super simple and convenient for those trying to catch an early flight. It was amazing.

This place comes with everything you can wish for, and more. We loved staying here and can't wait to be back. It is beautifully situated next to the ocean and is lovely furnished and decorated in every detail. The kitchen and rest of the house is equipped with everything you need and is the perfect stay to discover the island. Fernando is a great host, the communication was super smooth and they had prepared the kitchen with coffee, bread, cheese, cookies and other local specialities when we arrived. Don't look any further!

The property is right next to the water and has fabulous views! Walking distance to town and restaurants. Very quick responses from host. Host left us a jar of cookies, cheese and garden grown carrots . When we left, check out time is 9 and he offered for us to star until 15:00 if we wanted! wow! Highly recommend!

A rural paradise, with a spectacular view of the “Ilheus das Cabral” or Goat Islands, a partially collapsed volcanic cone. Recently rebuilt and refurbished, but with sensitive attention to detail and clear respect for its architectural heritage, while integrating every modern comfort you could possibly require. The house is very comfortable, fully of practical and decorative details which enhance your stay and experience. We particularly appreciated the selection of local foods and drink left by a Fernando for our arrival, while marveling at the subtle choices in interior and exterior illumination. Only a 10 minute walk to the nearest natural sea pool and the center of the village with its small selection of restaurants and other facilities. Also only a 10-15 minute drive to the center of “Angro do Heroismo” and it’s world heritage architecture. Fernando was very personable from our first message and continued to be so, throughout our stay.

It’s difficult to find anything not to like in this house. Perhaps the only slightly irritating feature were the nearest neighbors, who seemed to enjoy allowing their children to play as loudly as possible during the day. However our stay was the last week of August and therefore overlapped with the school holiday period. We did note that Fernando has planted trees, which will continue to grow and offer more privacy. But this minor issue did not detract from a wonderful experience.

The most perfect stay in the most beautiful house in Terceira Island! Canário do Mar is a gem for anyone that wants a peaceful getaway. The location is great, in the quiet Porto Judeu, close to Angra do Heroísmo. With a spectacular view over the sea and Ilhéu das Cabras, the house is full equipped, very clean and very well maintained, super comfortable and beautifully decorated. Fernando was an amazing host, always available and received us very well! The local amenities on the arrival were icing on the cake! We will definitely be back and we highly recommended Canário do Mar. Thank you so much Fernando!
