breakfast just like normal hotel style but they allowed us for taking our breakfast at 10.30am due to miscommunication with reception for the breakfast timing. Paid RM45 per pax for BBQ dinner but not much choice. only one choice of chicken wing, fish and beef with bbq but not all guests can eat beef. Suggest to have more choice on chicken or others seafood instead of beef. Could found the beef quantity quite a lot left in the tray. So not much people took it or the beef portion is too much.

some part of room facilities looked old and not well maintained, eg. tailet bowl looked black and also the door handle broken but not repaired until we called the reception. Then the staffs, who came and repair the door handle, did not wear the mask and coughing! This is really not a good hotel practice. Also, did not clean the area after repair. Left the screw and dirt on floor.

We booked this beautiful villa for our anniversary getaway, expecting a luxurious and relaxing stay. Unfortunately, our experience was turned into a nightmare by bed bugs. We woke up with itchy bites and upon inspection, found clear signs of an infestation. We immediately notified the staff, but their response was underwhelming. They simply sprayed the bed with insect repellent (which doesn't work on bed bugs!) and changed the sheets. This did nothing to address the root of the problem. Now, the infestation has spread to our own home, causing further stress and financial burden with extermination costs. Adding insult to injury, after this experience, we discovered older reviews mentioning similar bed bug issues at this same villa. Just google Royale Chulan Cherating Villa Bed Bugs and you will find it. This suggests the problem has been ongoing and not properly addressed by management. We will be filing a formal complaint with the hotel, as their response was inadequate and put future guests at risk. Future travelers should be aware of this ongoing problem before booking.

1. The room was spacious, clean and has a fantastic view of the ocean! 2. Most of the staff were courteous and friendly. 3. The breakfast and dinner: a good spread and tasty.

1. The swimming pool only opens at 9am; should be earlier at 8am. 2. The TV has very few channels. 3. We arrived at 2pm but the guard and the did not allow us to enter as check-in was at 3pm but we insisted to be allowed in to the lobby. Similarly, the receptionist did not allow us to be at the lobby but we insisted.

Breakfast buffet food spread should be paid extra attention. Pudding and bread were stale and expired.

No gym. Pool closes opens late ie 9am and closes too early ie 7pm, should at least 8am-8pm.

The facilities are generally well maintained, well done. The villa facing the ocean is awesome, spacious and beautiful room. The bathroom is great with the jacuzzi facing the ocean - excellent. The dinner spread (Buffet Ramadhan) was not so bad.

Went to the Buffet Ramadhan on 7 April 2023, which is near the berbuka puasa time. Requested for a table outdoor, which can be arranged, but the staff is taking too long to set it up (basically didn't do anything surprising). I was not happy as that should take a few minutes of their time. So I told them it's alright, let me carry the table myself - but they insisted to do it. Think your staff has to take proper training on how to apply their common senses with guests. Later at night (around 9.00 pm), I called the operator asking for ice and more toileteries. A staff came and brought the toileteries accordingly. However it takes too long. I kept calling the operator (at O) but no one picked up. So I went out from the villa, so I can go walk to the restaurant myself. Bumped into 2 staff who's in the buggy..I told them what happened. He said the operator is not available as they're busy sending guests. So one staff volunteered to pick up the ice for me, which I only got after more than 1 hour. Hope the customer service can be improved significantly.

the location and rooms were good

the food serving area is setup in a ballroom type area for in house dining.

The staffs are friendly & helpful, the room locates right in front of the cherating beach, making it just a few steps away from the room! :) The view is great & breakfast selection is plenty!

No car access in the resort itself, will have to call for buggy every time you wanna head out of the resort.
