Von außen was das Haus hübsch geschmückt, der Frühstückraum war auch sehr liebevoll weihnachtlich dekoriert. Der Empfang war herzlich und freundlich.

Wir waren im Anbau des Haupthauses untergebracht. Die Beschreibung des Zimmers passt leider nicht zu dem Ist-Zustand. Es war keine Küche vorhanden, lediglich abgeschlossene Schränke, eine Spüle und ein Mini-Backofen, kein Geschirr oder Besteck. Die Wände und das Kopfteil des Bettes bestanden aus OSB-Platten - sehr rustikal. Die Rollläden der Dachfenster ließen sich nicht öffnen. Schrauben, die im Zimmer in die OSB-Platten geschraubt wurden, kamen im Bad durch die Wand wieder heraus. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft sehr hellhörig. Man wird aufgefordert, am Hauseingang die Schuhe auszuziehen. Darauf sollte man zumindest vorbereitet sein und Hausschuhe einpacken.

The location was perfect for a mid-point stay driving from the Channel Tunnel to Austria. The availability of a choice of evening dinner menu, with appetisers and wine, was particularly welcome after a long drive.

The hosts are NOT responsible for this but the nearby church rings its bells every 15 minutes throughout the night.

I would say is quite expensive for the amenities you have + as BONUS you have bell sound from the church every 15 minutes even in the night…

Host was helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent, convenient stop over location for our road trip, a lot of space and sleeping options for a family and good value, comfortable bed.

Our converted attic apartment appeared to be a work in progress as some of the walls were exposed plywood. Maybe this is the style but it seemed unfinished to us. The eclectic decorating style may not be appreciated by everyone. It would probably seem fun and whimsical to some guests and kids but was a little cluttered for our taste.
