Parking is free, quiet and well insulated room.

The staffs are unfriendly and rather rude. Location is a bit off. Payment is only possible with an EC card. Amenities is quite low, no coffee maker, glasses are tiny, more like whisky glasses than to drink water. Too many stairs, no lift.

They could be little more friendly towards non German speakers.

The breakfast was great, acceptable location (15 min to the city center) and the room is perfect after a long hiking in the Harz Mountains.

It really didn’t look all that new and was located above a beverage market. So it didn’t have that curb appeal, but the inside is such a positive surprise. Albeit simple, the rooms are modern and lack nothing. Very comfy and well designed, with silently closing doors and such.

for a three star hotel, and for the price, the rooms were a bit small and sad and the location not great.

The breakfast offered a good selection. The room was comfortable and modern (good window cover for better sleep and antyinsects net).

We had a worse and horrible experience here. The 'boss' (as we were told) of the Hotel was involved, so we had no hope of escalating our issue further. We will NEVER stay here again. They have extreme weird rules and stick to them blindly. During the covid time, for breakfast, they had given us slots (our slot was from 8-8.55 am).  We understood this as an approximate timeframe which was fine with us. I generally eat slower and take some more time. But literally at 8.56 am (1 min later), the lady from hotel started SHOUTING at us to leave. We were almost done with our breakfast by then and required just 5 more min (until 9am) to complete our breakfast. But the lady told us to leave 'NOW'. We had to literally leave the remaining breakfast. Supposedly the next batch was to start to come at 9.05 a.m. So I doubt if it was really such a big  problem if we would have continued 5 min extra till 9am and if they would have cleaned just our table after that. Anyways, We were understanding towards the situation and agreed to get up. We just requested if we could take the warm water cup with tea with us to the room and have tea in the room (the weather was cold and I really needed something warm, especially during covid time). But to our surprise, when I was picking the tea, the lady (the hotel 'boss', as I was told later) said very rudely that we have to PAY extra if we want to take the warm water cup and tea dip from breakfast in our room. What?? Horrible!!! This was by the way the Hotels requirement that we leave exactly at the minute end of the time slot (otherwise we would have completed our tea in the canteen itself). And does being a boss give them the right to shout on customers and treat them badly?

When we tried telling about the incident at the reception, we were told that this extreme rude lady who had shouted on us and told us to pay for our complementary breakfast tea was infact the 'Boss' of the Hotel. This is even worst to know that the unacceptable behavior was from the boss herself. This means no scope for escalating the matter ahead if the management itself doesn't care about customer convenience. I would never stay here again and give money to such people and feed their arrogance. We were told by the receptionist that the boss thought that we were taking extra food to our room. This made us think if the 'boss' perceives customers like hungry people on the street whom she is doing a favor by giving cheap breakfast!!! Please increase the price if you want, but treat your customers well. We can eat expensive breakfast outside too, but we prefer to have it in hotel for our convenience. Our problem was not about the time slots or anything, but What we did not like was the ARROGANT ATTITUDE of the Management towards customers. Where customer convenience does bit matter at all (a few minutes extra and allowing tea in the room is not a big deal generally in other hotels. Infact OTHER HOTELS where we stayed offered this themselves happily for our convenience). The hotel seems to forget the basic fact that people come here for relaxation. The other hotels where we stayed managed this breakfast slots very well. I will never stay in this hotel again, even after covid, since their attitude towards customers is not good. I would never stay here again and give money to such people and feed their arrogance.
