The house was even more fantastic as the pictures had shown us and both Roman and our daily contact Emanuele provided excellence service to us during our stay. As soon as small issues appeared or we just had some questions they were handled and solved in a professional way. For future guests at Sicilia we would recommend to rent a good car as the roads generally are in a very poor condition. And also be aware that there are only very few foreign tourists in the area and that most of the local Sicilians do not speak English. We found some great beaches near by and drove to many of the villages and bigger cities where we got some very nice experiences. We recommend to spend your next holiday in this beautiful house. We had a great holiday in this fab house with balconies galore and wonderful outside spaces including the huge, clean pool. Superbly located to visit the gorgeous baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ragusa, Scicli, although you do need a car. We visited Siracusa by train from Scicli - a very "Sicilian" experience i.e. disorganised. Siracusa, particularly Ortigia, is amazing Marina di Ragusa is only a few minutes from the house by car. It's a purpose built resort but very pleasant. Excellent all round.

The villa is a great size (too big for just the 4 of us- will bring more family next time), comfy clean rooms and bathrooms, good air conditioning in the bedrooms, the rest of the villa was a nice cool haven from the sun too. The outside area is what make this place. The pool is lovely secluded, warm and clean. It's deep enough to swim properly and my 7 year old could just tiptoe on the bottom, with a deep area for the diving board. Whilst my little one would splash for hours on the steps or the little pool. The pool was cleaned regularly over night when we were there and the villa was cleaned and new linin mid stay, no one intruded. The bbq and pizza oven outdoor eating area was fantastic, we ate and cooked out here most nights, long relaxing dinners. The garden had fruit trees so we could have fresh figs and lemons straight from the trees. Amazing views of the town and sea. Nothing better than a coffee and book on the balcony in the morning sun watching the sea before the kids woke. Garden is well kept and beautiful. Kitchen well equipped we didn't want for anything. The surrounding area is very Sicilian, lovely for eating, having a drink with some food, or amazing galato or granitas, beach was gentle shelving for 50-75 meters out, so kids could stand happily and play. The beach space is great, you can easily play football or bat and ball and not worry anyone. No toilets on the beach but if you go to have a galato or coffee they are happy for you to use theirs. You can buy food in town and the market stalls or small supermarket or an easy 5 minute drive to a large supermarket with fantastic deli. Had great communication with the owner and the caretaker emmanuel, with recommendations of where to visit and clear directions to the villa. We drove from Catania, was less that 2 hours and was easy to find. Just take a deep beat with Sicilian driving! Lots of paces to visit locally. Would recommend highly.

We have just had a lovely week at Romans villa. Everything is as described with beautiful views of the sea from the terraces. The pool is huge and well maintained. The location of the villa is perfect to visit the nearby Ragusa and Scicli. We liked to go to Marina da Ragusa in the evening to visit the many restaurants and walk along the seafront. All in all it's a perfect place to spend a holiday

We have just returned from 2 perfect weeks at Villa Timperosse. The villa was just as described and I agree with all the other reviews. It was lovely to have 3 different views from the terraces and even though the 18m pool is fantastic, we were only a short distance to the sea. Everything was clean and in good conditio and the wifi worked perfectly. There was more than ample outdoor dining space and plenty of loungers by the pool. If you are more than 4 people, just be aware there is only comfortable seating for 4 in the lounge area, but you could use the outdoor seating to supplement. We very much enjoyed buying the freshest local fish from the fish huts in the centre of Donnalucata, as well as local fruit and veg from the smallholders who parked close by. The location is excellent to visit the many lovely towns including Noto, Ragusa, Modica and Agrigento and an easy drive from Catania airport. Emanuele, who manages the property, kindly showed us around his home town of Scicli, the location being used for the police station in the Montalbano films. We also visited Montalbano’s house on the beach in Punta Secca. Roman was very prompt and courteous with the booking process.and sent us an email both after arrival and on departure, to make sure everything was OK. On arrival there was also a surprise welcome pack. Mille grazie e alla prossima!

In August 2016 we've stayed at this house for a second time. We normally visit different places each year but we made an exception with this one as the house is beautiful and we loved the Ragusa area in Sicily. The town of Donnalucata is nice and quiet but with all the essentials (small supermarket, several good restaurants and the BEST ice cream parlour ever: Blue Moon) but if you want bigger towns and supermarkets there's Marina de Ragusa or Scicli nearby. The house was nice and clean (including the swimming pools), it's got all the essentials (with the exception of a microwave oven, but we didn't mind) even a very good coffee maker. The swimming pools are FANTASTIC, the pictures don't show properly its size... it's bigger than many, many hotel pools and it's private. The children swimming pool was an important selling point for us as we have 2 small boys, though our bigger boy also love the diving board in the big pool! The house is walking distance to "Al molo" restaurant, which is good for fish but could do with a better customer service. Roman (the owner), Emanuele (the caretaker) and the pool cleaner provide a great service and are really nice and helpful. Just one warning: the pool is next to a couple of half built houses which haven't been built from one year to the other but they might be habitable in the future. However, a row of trees are growing and hopefully they'll mantain the privacy. Highly recommended!!!

We have just had a terrific holiday at Roman's villa. It is so comfortable and luxurious. 2 pools - one that is giant. Loads of outside space - big garden, massive bbq area with big charcoal grill, pizza oven, gazebo, outside bathroom, loads of sunbeds and umbrella, warp around terraces on ground and first floor. Inside there are three lovely bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a big kitchen and massive living area. Its all just lovely. The location is perfect. Lots of lovely beaches 5-20 mins away in a car, further afield great sightseeing at Scicli, Ragusa, Siracusa. A perfect holiday place and Roman is very prompt and helpful

We stayed for 14 nights (two families: 4 adults and 3 kids). The house is big and comfortable. The garden territory is vety beautifull. We were impressed by the pool - it's fantastically big! The house is located in a quet place not far from the sea and has a beautifull veiw on the sea. The car is needed to reach supermarkets (Conad, 5 minutes by car) and other beautifull places, such as Siracuse, Caltagitone, others. Thank you Roman for your help and for your house! Will definately recommend it to all our friends.

We have been to this beautiful villa in the second half of October and we were still quite lucky with the weather, so we could use the giant pool almost every day and our seven year old son just loved it :-) The villa itself provides everything you could wish for and is very well taken care of by Emanuelle who looks after the property and made us feel very welcome there. The garden area is also very nice and quite impressive itself. There are several nice sandy beaches close by and some UNSECO sights to visits in the area so I would definitely recommend a rental car to get around. The owner Roman is always very helpful. I have been renting quite a few villas but never experienced so professional & comprehensive communication. A great place for a family holiday & I would definitely recommend the villa.

We are a family of four and just got back from an absolutely wonderful vacation in this splendid villa! We have seen a variety of properties but nothing compares to this! A beautiful, spacious villa located on a hillside above the small town of Donnalucata with a breathtaking view of the sea. The villa has 3 bedrooms, all equipped with air conditioning, 3 bathrooms in the house and one by the pool, a fabulous garden surrounding the house with a large variety of trees, plants and flowers, an amazingly large pool and a big grill area - the perfect location for a relaxing vacation! The house is also equipped with everything one needs and is extremely clean and well kept. Nearby there are several beaches, all very clean and perfect also for smaller children. We visited several of the amazing baroque towns within driving distance, such as Noto, Scicli, Ragusa ibla, Siracus and Ortigia and the absolute highlight Taormina. The towns come to life in the evening and here one can experience the sicilien flair. A special thanks goes to the owner, Roman Mezzasalma, and Emanuele (the caretaker of the property) for their very personal support before and during our stay! All in all, a terrific place that we would definitely highly recommend!!

This villa is located just up above a friendly seaside town. Not too packed, not too quiet, and good for families. The villa is stylish and spacious. It has three excellent bedrooms, with efficient and quiet air conditioning. Plenty of good lounging space, including a balcony all round the property. Good kitchen with dishwasher, and all other amenities you would need. The private pool is the best one I have ever had the pleasure of using. It looks great in the pictures, but doesn't really show what a monster of a size it is. I also has a great depth, so my seven year old could use nearly half the pool. If you are a pool lover, you need to see this pool. And the BBQ area, a toilet block, outside showers, the garden. It needs to be seen with your own eyes. The owner was the most helpful man. I contacted ten villas for my stay, and Roman's helpful attitude sold me straight away. A last note, I travelled here during school holidays. I booked four flights from Comiso from London. Great weather, sea views from your window, picturesque cities all around and golden uncluttered beaches, you will struggle to find better value for your money.

We thought the villa looked fantastic on the website and when we arrived it was even better than we expected! We found it very spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The gardens are lovely and the most impressive part was the pool - very large for a private pool and we had hours of fun playing in the water with all the family. There was also a great BBQ area, a large shady terrace and also a big balcony with lovely views. We were spoilt for choice when it came to deciding where to eat lunch! We were met on arrival and welcomed to the villa and we found everything we needed there. The villa was easy walking distance from Donnalucata (although there was a small amount of walking along a road) where we found possibly one of the world's best ice cream parlours (Blue Moon) There were lovely beaches nearby at Playa Grande and Marina di Ragusa We also enjoyed visiting Ragusa, Syracuse and Mount Etna (en route to the airport). Overall it was a fantastic place for a family holiday and I would definitely recommend the villa to a friend. Thank you Roman and Emmanuelle for making us so welcome!
