La situation au calme et à distance raisonnable des incontournables de la Guadeloupe

Des propriétaires gentils mais un peu trop rigides sur certaines règles et le manque de pression d'eau du au réseau et des propriétaires pas toujours réactifs pour le système de secour ! Plus de souplesse vis à vis des clients serait un gros plus

The hosts Laurence & Patrice have been extremely nice and welcoming making our stay at Villa Kannel really enjoyable and helping us out with a lot of guidance on what to visit offering great tips. The location of the Villa is also very nice - away from the noise and heat of the city with a beautiful pool in the garden. The breakfast was delicious with home made delicacies and local fresh fruit and juice. Highly recommend Villa Kannel.

All was great

Lovely rustic Caribbean flavour to our en-suite bedroom on ground floor next to very attractive pool, with nice place for yoga. Hosts Laurence and Patrice could not have been more friendly and helpful to make our (actually 4 nights) stay as enjoyable as possible. Laurence offered us table d’hote dinner each night for very reasonable price: three delicious courses from local produce, served with glass of wine following an aperitif and interesting conversation throughout. All delicious, interesting with great variety and more than enough food. Breakfast was also excellent with Laurence often having made fresh local juices and jams often from her lovely garden. My schoolboy French was helped along by Laurence and Patrice’s good English and we felt very happy to be in their company. They gave us lots of really helpful suggestions and information for visiting various places in Basse Terre, where we wished to remain to explore the mountainous jungle, waterfalls, and Cousteau marine reserve on the West coast over our four day stay. Every day we really looked forward to returning to rest in our comfortable room, followed by at least two hours of friendly discussion over dinner.

(One small thing was the under sheet mattress protector on the bed was made of plastic, which of course is not unusual, but in the warm high humidity environment you find in Guadeloupe, it makes for a rather sweaty night. I can only suggest a non plastic is used instead.)

Laurence and Patrice are awesome hosts. We had our breakfast together with them everyday. They were very helpful in guiding us through our daily sightseeing. We also celebrated a birthday here and they prepared a nice cake. The villa is beautiful and has an amazing garden. There are lots of fruit and flower trees, which any nature lover would appreciate. The neighborhood is very quiet and close to the National Park.
