Area very nice . Was snowed in 1st night had to shovel snow to get truck out . Vacasa does not pay local snow removal ! There are 2 snow removal trucks doing driveways but only cabins contracted . unfortunately, this cabin is not contracted through them and they live right around corner !

My family stayed here during our February break for the first time. We wanted to come play in the snow and also have a spacious home to relax in. This house fit the bill! We had cozy fires every night and played board games that we brought with us. We were close to the stores in Shaver and drove to the snow park area everyday (about 15 minutes away). We would definitely stay at this home again!

Stayed at Paws Cabin in December with our family. Cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Plenty of extras for cooking, grilling, and board games for family fun. Highly recommend!

Best I’ve rented so far and I rent a lot, the only things I had an issue with was starting a fire and using the Keurig , they provide newspaper to start the fire but even seasoned fire starting individual had a very difficult time starting a fire . The main reason was the lighter provided was completely empty I reached out to Vacasa and they took forever to respond once they did they told me someone would take me a lighter that day, they never came ! When I ask for an update I was told someone would drop one off the following day but to estimate of a time, Mind you that was a big selling point for me in this property so that was very disappointing, I expressed that to Vacasa and all they could say was “Sorry, we know this is not what you expected” and that was that. Fire starters are not expensive at and suggest providing at least one would be very helpful and save people like us 2 hours of our trip in trying to start a fire with just newspaper.
The Keurig, I own one and use one everyday I assumed it was the same but the one at the property allowed all the coffee grounds into the coffee, not good at all.

The house was clean and spacious. We loved the large windows and the kit hen was very functional. The stairs do not have a railing that goes the entire length, so if someone in your party requires ADA accessibility be prepared. When we arrived the battery for the door code needed to be replaced, and we were able to speak with Vacasa help center to get access to a key, but it was a little challenging because the help center people aren’t as familiar with the specific home because Vacasa manages a lot of rentals. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing stay in Paws Cabin. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cookware and pots and pans we needed. The home was clean and restrooms had enough bath towels. The Thermostat did not go above 68 degrees however that was the perfect temperature as the home gets pretty warm especially in the bedrooms. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Shaver Lake.

Home was super spacious, enough pots and pans to do the most basic of cooking. Nice Quiet area. Ample parking. Nice front and back patio. WIFI is really good. Stove is not gas, it's electric, that did suck. Propane for grill needed to be refilled. Beds seemed alot smaller than stated. Have a king bed at home and the one advertised was alot smaller. Downstairs bathroom toilet has issues when you flush the chain is way too long and gets caught on itself, had to adjust just to get it to stop flushing. Biggest issue was ants and later spiders, when contacted customer support they pretty much just told me to deal with it. Sad to hear as I've never had a bad experience with Vacasa. This is our 4th time booking with them and first time ever reaching out for help and were ignored.

My family and I booked a last minute cabin for our kiddos 3-day weekend. The cabin was beautiful however, there were a few things we did not like. The porch is a bit small, we did have our family dogs with us and wished they had a bit more space to roam around. The kitchen wasn't well stocked. There was a limited amount of cookware. We've stayed at other cabins that are way more equipped. A major complain was that there was no mop considering that the entire bottom of the cabin is title flooring. Upon arrival one of the kiddos spilled water and we had to use napkins to clean it up. They did have what looked like a steam Shark vacuum but nothing to use for quick clean ups. It's best to come well prepared with kitchenware and spices when booking this cabin. Other than those few inconveniences the cabin and location were great!

We found alot ants everywhere in the house, and spiders also one of my kids got bite during the night on the ear , all the beds sheets were dirty and smelly the sofas are very dirty nasty and the carpets smelled orine other than that was good

Nice winter stay
This was our second time staying in Paws Cabin. The home is spacious and in a great location. We stayed in winter both times and the heater takes a bit to warm up so we were all freezing when we arrived. The house cleaners did a good job but the home is in need of a deep cleaning. The carpets and rugs smelled like urine.

The cabin was spacious and clean and cozy and we absolutely loved the location because there was lots of open land nearby for the kids to play in the snow. We had a wonderful winter snow experience and the cabin worked great for two families and our pups.

Well equipted home
Went to visit over the Christmas holiday. Received over 3 ft of snow. The home comes with a snow plow subscription so we were able to get out smoothly with the help of the snow plow to clear the driveway. Currently, you can only fit one car in the garage. The other space is taken with the patio set. Otherwise, quiet location and close drive to the lake and China Peak. The pictures are accurate and all the furniture was comfortable. All the appliances were in working condition.

Loved the spaciousness and wrap around porch.. the kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. Main first floor bathroom needs attention to shower door...very difficult to open...... but will plan on staying again with family! Very nice quiet location... only one garage door was able to be opened, would be great to use entire garage, tho...

Had a great time at this place. Close to Shaver Lake, spacious, great neighborhood and even had a visit from a bear who left his prints on our car. Make sure you shop at Bob’s and get a delicious meal at Pub and Grub. To the property managers: you need to stop charging a cleaning fee until you follow all the previous reviews and thoroughly deep clean!

Nice house, needs a good clean.
The house it’s self is nice but really needs to be cleaned. The bathroom mats were dirty as soon as we walked in. The floors were black and sticky. Disappointing, especially during a pandemic. You pay over $100 for a cleaning fee but I don’t think there is much cleaning going on. Ants in the kitchen and bathrooms, oh and it was SUPER hot upstairs we couldn’t sleep.

It was the perfect cabin for me n my team we had a really good time here n lake was pretty close by only thing is that there’s no ac in the house but other then that everything was great will definitely book again

Spacious cabin next to Shaver Lake
This cabin was wonderful! It had ample space for our family of four plus dog. The kitchen was well stocked with any appliance we needed. The surrounding yard offered a nice view. The cabin was very close to shops and the lake. We loved using it as our home base for kayaking and fishing throughout the week!

Great space and beautiful area. Nice and quiet once neighbor left. Definitely used as a rental so you don’t feel like you are cramming into a lived in or cluttered home. King bed unfortunately is the only descent mattress. None of the bunk beds had fitted sheets on them but everything was well cleaned. Nice patio furniture and seating areas. Room in garage. Kitchen faucet leak that was not easy to report and the multiple fix attempts failed so it ran almost non stop. Dryer sounds like a jet engine. Could use instruction for trash. Only one small container in garage and large receptacles at community entrance is locked...sooo, ya. Pet friendly and free of odor. In great community. Looks nicer in person than in Google maps street view.

Our favorite!
We always rent in East Village but decided to try a newer cabin this last time. This place was perfect! The layout is so open with tons of light. The kids had the upstairs bunk beds and we had the bedroom downstairs. The decor was simple and tasteful. I've never seen a vacation rental with shower grout that clean. Both bathrooms were so clean. The couch was comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. There was snow out back for the kids to build a snowman. The deck was a nice size. It would be nice to have a table and chairs out there but I'm guessing they bring one out when the weather gets nicer. This was our favorite vacasa cabin rental!
