We spent New Years at the property and it was exactly what we were looking for quiet getaway able to stars at night . The pond was a short walk and our 13 year old and myself would walk to it at least once a day to see how much it was frozen over. The internet worked great and it was very nice weekend for the whole family.

This was our 2nd visit to the property. With 3 adult kids in 3 separate states, it provided a perfect place to celebrate 5 birthdays, Thanksgiving, and an early Christmas.
The beds are comfortable, there are ample games and movies, and the kitchen served our big group nicely for the week.
The hosts are responsive and easy to get ahold of. We inadvertantly tested this with a miscommunication about who had the house keys (Nobody! They got locked inside!!).
We were as happy with our 2nd stay as we were with the first.

I booked the house as a location for some quiet time out in nature, to enjoy the surroundings, and to stargaze at night; I and my two friends were satisfied on all of those counts. Had fun birding and using our telescopes.

We saw a bald eagle flying overhead. It was a nice home for my family to stay while we were between homes. My kids loved that there were games and cards to play.

Wonderful as always
A short trip away from the heat of Phoenix, with perfect weather including a great afternoon storm. Enjoyed relaxing on the patio, going for a short hike around the nearby Scholtz Lake, and of course walks around the property watching the wildlife. A very special place, thank you for letting us stay.

Second time around was just as GREAT!
We visited this property last summer and absolutely had a blast... so much so that we booked it again this summer and stayed for 2 weeks this time. We just absolutely love the seclusion of the property and all that there is to explore around it. We like to look for different trails to go hiking on with our dogs who love running around the prairie. We love that the property is far enough away to be kind of living off the grid but close enough to the towns of Williams and Flagstaff for shopping, eating out, entertainment etc. The owners are terrific as they were in communication with us if we had any questions. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Who knows maybe next year we'll book again and stay even longer...lol!

Lacking!!!
House needs repair. Missing screens, patio door brook, bench broke on one side in kitchen. Yard needs clean up and mowed. Advertise that you could take walks but the land was not mowed nor was there paths. Would not let the kids walk it because of snakes. Neighbors dogs barked from dusk to dawn. The road into the farm is washed out and large rocks in it. If you do not have a truck or suv it would damage the vehicle. when contacted owners, it was the next morning before they replied. No airconditioning unit.

Serene Landscape
This was our second visit staying at this property. This most recent stay was 1 week long. The Garland Prairie is a piece of paradise. Every evening we'd sit outside and just enjoy the sound of the wind whistling through the grass, the birds chirping, and watching the wild rabbits scurry around the house. Roast smores and watch the sunsets!
The house accommodated 4 adults and a teen girl very comfortably.
Don't hesitate to book this property, especially if you want to be away from the crowded hotels and neighborhoods of Flag and Williams. The bonus is a scenic, direct connection to I-40.

This is a wonderful place to go and get some quiet, relaxation, and beautiful views. There are times at night when it seems so quiet it’s actually deafening. There are plenty of places to go hike nearby. The house is very clean and has basically everything you need. This is actually the third time I have stayed here and I enjoy it just as much each time

Peaceful Prairie
Very relaxing and peaceful environment! Central location to all things AZ! We enjoyed seeing the Grand Canyon north of us and Rt 66 east and west of us! We loved exploring AZ then returning back to our quiet prairie home. The host were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely visit again in the future!

The stars have never shown so bright and from the front porch you couldn't see the light from another home. I highly recommend a stay here if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world.

The owners were prompt with their communication, but the house was set up so well that we didn’t need to reach out for anything.

This property was gorgeous and the perfect place for our family to come home to and rest.

Caryn was a great host! She was available for whatever we needed and responded quickly. The house is cozy and fit my family of 6 comfortably. The property is fun to explore and had a great selection of movies to watch at night. Close to Williams and a short drive to the Grand Canyon! Would stay again!

Little house on the prairie
Had a serene, relaxing time at this little house on the prairie. Saw Elk, rabbits, coyote, antelope and lots of birds. Fire pit under the stars made our nights complete. Four wheel drive is suggested for accessing these local parts of Parks. The views and privacy were well worth it!

Come Prepared and enjoy!
Great place to stay. We ran out of paper towels and couldn't find any kitchen towels but those things were minor and we adapted. Owners were responsive to messages in replying quickly.
If it has been very rainy or snowing and you don't have either front wheel drive SUV or 4WD, you might not make it to the property. No close help if you get stuck. Otherwise, awesome hosts and home!

We had a snowstorm during our stay, and the home was very cozy and warm. Firewood and tinder to light the wood stove was readily available, and we had a blast! 5 stars easy!
The only thing I’d say is if you have a larger family and plan on staying long enough, coordinate ahead of time to make sure there’s enough TP, as we almost ran out with the 4 provided rolls during our stay.

The house was incredibly clean and wonderful. The property was absolutely beautiful with the pond and spacious areas to roam. We enjoyed the space and being outdoors with the fresh air. We discussed coming back in the spring because you can tell it would be even more beautiful once all the flowers bloom. The owner had incredible communication and was very friendly. We couldn't get over how clean the house was and we are so appreciate of the cleanliness and the COVID precautions the owners are taking. Thank you!

The place was very clean and roomy. The only downside was that the outside porches were pretty tired and uninviting, but we still had a good time.

We can’t express in words just how much we enjoyed our stay! Everything was perfect… this place was such a gem. It was super cold and snowy during the time we were there, but the house was very cozy with the wood burning stove, central heat, and electronic fireplace as options to heat the home. We loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back.

We were looking to escape the Phoenix summer heat, and this provided a great opportunity. We loved the country setting, and our pup had fun on morning romps with us. The place was very clean and roomy. The only downside was that the outside porches were pretty tired and uninviting, but we still had a good time.

Our experience at this vacation rental was absolutely wonderful! The hosts are very kind and easy to work with-- very responsive to any questions. Their home is very well cared for and in immaculate condition. All the little details were so much of a delight-- definitely making us feel more at home.
We had some trouble our first attempt (February) at getting to the property as both vehicles were 2WD. Even during that attempted trip the hosts were incredibly kind and understanding! It would have been so easy to *just* ask for a refund, but when we saw the beautiful property and the graciousness of the hosts we knew rescheduling was the better choice.
We were so pleased when we finally made it our 2nd attempt! What is a funny side note is that now this time 1 of our cars decided to blow a transmission about 80 miles earlier... So we arrived crammed in 1 vehicle and were even more grateful for the wide open spaces of this property.
You will love the quietness of the country. There are some fun places to explore-- old abandoned buildings. There are a lot of birds of all varieties-- a really pretty light blue (small-ish) kind was what I saw the most.
Hands down a MUST VISIT vacation home!
