Preis-Leistungsverhältnis muss überdacht werden! Preise im Restaurant sind zu hoch, um Gäste anzulocken, die lieber nach Vietri gehen!

The customer service was wonderful. Great recommendations of local spots. The breakfast was diverse. The rooms were spacious and bed was comfy. The bathtub size is a great length.

Overall good hotel but overpriced with poor value for money. They charge for drinking water and bother to mention the free-of-charge internet like we are in the nineties. The hotel staff is not pleasant, and for any inconvenience, they say they will update the manager. On our arrival, there was a strong smell of sewage in the room, they moved us to a smaller room yet did not bother to apologize nor reduce the charge, they claimed room is in the same category although it was half by size. Medium quality hotel, nice view but that is all. For over 500 euros a night you can get better and they should improve or lower their price starting with free of charge bottled water in the room .

The private pool on the balcony and the view was not bad...

Where to start? - The shuttle service (essential on the Amalfi coast), runs only at set times and must be booked well in advance. If you want other times you have to book it to get confirmation and you have to pay 10 euros per person (like the taxi) to get to Vietri. Also it is a very small shuttle, only 6 people can get on it and it is also used by another nearby hotel... Result? Poor service and constant delays. - Very poor breakfast for a 5-star service - Worst room service we've ever tried... in almost a week of vacation they never got all the requests right - They accept pets, but they can not stay in any common area, including the restaurant area or the pool bar, basically better if you leave them at home... - In general the room had several damaged parts, torn curtains, worn wood, stains... bad luck or is it all like that? - Unfortunately also the staff was not the best, every question was answered "we inform you and we will let you know", punctually expected to know anything at all, we had to organize ourselves 99% of the time. I wouldn't have written so many points if it wasn't a 5 star! I expect such service from an honest 3 star... I don't recommend it!

Unable to provide a review of Relais Paradiso as a couple of weeks before we were due to stay at this hotel, the hotel emailed explaining our room was unavailable due to maintenance issues, but our reservation could be transferred to a sister hotel, Hotel Raito instead (both Paradiso and Hotel Raito are part of the Relais hotel group). It felt unrealistic to us to find alternative equivalent accommodation along the Amalfi Coast at this time of year in such a short amount of time, so we accepted the transfer to Hotel Raito. As above, we did not stay at Paradiso as planned, however some of our experience will be relevant and is captured in the following section, particularly in relation to location of both of these hotels.

Both Hotel Raito and Paradiso are located on the coast road from Vietri Sul Mare which continues along the Amalfi coast. The section of road from both hotels into Vietri Sul Mare does not have any pavements. There are a number of very tight turns, cars parked on both sides of the road and it can be very busy. We felt it was not safe to walk on this road (and we are walk-ey type people), however if you are looking to use the various modes of public transport available in Vietir Sul Mare (train, water taxi/ferry, buses) it is essential to get into Vietri Sul Mare from either Paradiso or Hotel Raito. We read Hotel Raito had a shuttle service from the hotel to Vietri Sul Mare. We found the shuttle service very limiting and it didn't help to be honest, i.e. only four journeys into Vietri Sul Mare a day (its only a 5 min journey), the first shuttle starts at 09:30am and you need to book on the day. If you're exploring Amalfi Coast you'll more than likely want to be on your way long before 09:30am!! (We left the hotel between 06:30-8:00am most mornings.) Extra shuttle services could be arranged at a cost of 20 euros each way (10 euros pp/per trip). The location of these hotels is a limiting factor in our opinion, but despite this there was no information provided to guests around how to get around, i.e. buses to Vietri Sul Mare, associated timetables, where to buy bus tickets etc. (For info bus numbers 1 or 68, timetables seemed 'flexible' (more luck than judgement) and bus tickets can be bought from the newsagent shop in main street in Vietri.) For this reason we would not stay here or recommend. Hotel Raito also seemed dated and tired for a 5 star. Paradiso (the hotel we actually booked) looks nicer from photos but we can't comment as we didnt stay there.

The view was amazing and the staff was so helpful and lovely! The room itself was very big and contained both a shower and a bath and a huge balcony.

The mattress of the bed was very firm to the point it really hurt my shoulders to sleep on the bed. I asked the staff to do something about and they did put an extra layer underneath but it didn't really help. The breakfast was fair, but had no variety and was basically the same each morning for the entire stay.
