We visited this house in May 2023 and had a great time. The house is very spacious and has everything you need. The views are just fantastic and if you are looking for a peaceful and calm retreat, this one is for you. We were a bit struggling with the "No Wifi", but actually it helped us relax even more. Just something you just keep in mind when booking this house. We would recommend this house to everyone looking for relaxing time in the great Connemara region.

Dear Eileen, again we spend a wonderful time in your perfect house. Everything is there whatever one need. The view is fantastic. My mother has her lovely place, always she sat in the bay window. The kitchen is perfectly fitted. The house is extraordinary, a special one! Thanks for everything !

Eileen’s Teach Greine property met/exceeded expectations. Was truly eco-friendly and had grand windows and sky lights with majestic ocean and mountain views in Connemara. Eileen herself made the check in easy (despite arriving ~2-3hrs early), and was amazing in maintaining communication in the weeks preceding the visit. Highly recommend Teach Greine!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house . The scenery from each window was beautiful. My kids loved exploring the outdoors. The area seemed 100% safe and friendly. We appreciated all the condiments and cooking supplies in the fridge and cabinets. Eileen was very personable and helpful in her tour of the house and recommendations. Location is very remote, but it was nice to unwind in such a beautiful setting. We would definitely recommend Eileen’s eco house :)

We loved the house it was a great place to rest from all our day trips . We come home and plan our next trip out .woke up to great views every morning . Just lovely .

The house is exactly as advertised and the photos tell the story. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the splendid views. In fact, we placed ourselves in those big chairs by the bay windows and got lost in the view. We were looking for a private, remote place, near water, a place to read and write and cook. We were very comfortable. Eileen gave us clear directions and met us upon arrival, giving us a thorough description as to how everything worked. It was good to know that she was close by should we need her assistance. Since there was a problem with the boiler, she provided a plug in radiator; on a sunny week it would not have been necessary. Note: there is a shower on the main floor, and a bathtub upstairs; not for anyone who has mobility concerns as there are no grab bars, and it is narrow, though lovely for a deep soak. The surrounding area is beautiful, though walking on these narrow, winding roads takes extreme caution, but as Eileen pointed out, there are many walking trails within reasonable driving distance. We would happily return to Teach Greine, a well-appointed house with stunning views.

We arrived late in the evening and Eileen gave us a hearty welcome. In the fridge were the basics for the first day, thanks again, Eileen. :) We enjoyed our time in that beautiful house so much and Eileen was really the perfect host. Highly recommended! Love to return.

This is our third time staying at Teach Greine, we love it here. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. If you like the sea, nature and outdoor pursuits there is nowhere better. If the weather is a bit damp, this is the perfect place for peaceful indoor pursuits. Eileen is a brilliant host, nothing is too much trouble and she obviously loves Connemara and is happy to share her local knowledge to make a stay more enjoyable. We look forward to returning soon. We had a fantastic stay and will return again

My third stay at Teach Greine was a delight. I love the slow pace of life, the isolation ( but with food 10 mins drive away if needs be), the phenomenal views and the light and warmth of the house. There were great little walks and lovely swimming, all within a few minutes drive. You get used to the bumpy bog roads very quickly and the rest of Connemara draws you out to explore. This is my "reset" venue. Thanks Eileen.

Returning the second time, Eileen has been a great host again, everything was very clean, fully equipped incl. Firelogs and wood for the fireplace, detergent for the washing machine, books for reading. View from the house is great, it was nicely warm...so everything was great again. Will for sure come back again.

Lovely property in a fabulous remote location, great welcome from our host, just a wonderful stay.

We cannot praise this house and Eileen's hospitality enough. Where else can you stay right on the water with a spectacular view of the 12 Bens, with a piano to serenade each other? The house was exceedingly well-stocked, and Eileen provided a wealth of maps and local guides to help us discover the area. Great local walks as well as many other fabulous sites close by like Dog's Bay, Roundstone, and Killary Harbour. We also found some lovely and competitively-priced woollens at the nearby Glynsk House. We loved staying in a cosy warm eco-house with all the amenities and we highly recommend Teach Greine.

Eileen was wonderful, the house was just as picturesque as the listing showed, and it was an awesome place to stay. Go raibh maith agat!!

Our visit was absolutely perfect. I have never seen such a clean and lovely house. The pictures doesn't show the reality. It´s much more beautiful than you can see. The house is a perfect home. And Eileen is the perfect host. We enjoyed our stay 100%. (Thank you for everything, Eileen!!!)

We were greeted by Eileen , who gave us a comprehensive explanation of the area and answered many questions eagerly with her vast local knowledge. We had a fantastic time there, a very relaxing experience with a sunset view, weather permitting. Beautiful views from the lounge in two directions, which so pleased the eye and rested the soul. Eileen had provided some us with some basic groceries, which was very much appreciated. I Particularly enjoyed a superb Irish yoghurt for breakfast. We also were pleased to find basics such as salt + pepper and many spices + herbs; making which assists enormously. The kitchen has everything, including dishwasher tablets; + I was so pleased to find the dishwasher filter exceptionally clean !

We both cannot speak highly enough of Eileen ,the house and the location . The house is spotless with every amenity you could need , the area has loads to do and see . We will be back !

On a repeat stay in Teach Greine, I introduced more people to its delights and they were similarly impressed. The solitude and peace of the location ensure that home and work are forgotten and the holiday is totally refreshing. At the same time the house has all mod cons and is spacious bright and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed swimming in the deep clear water off the rocks at the bottom of the property and the stunning views of the mountains and Bay. Eileen leaves everything you need for a smooth settle in. Basics such as tea, coffee, milk and butter were really appreciated. Thanks.

My second stay in Teach Gréine did not disappoint. The beauty and quiet of this area superbly equipped house in such a quiet area gives such peace

House and location surpassed our expectations. Fantastic views to Twelve Bens and Roundstone, with the changing seas and landscape always in view. Eileen was an exceptional host, greeting us upon our arrival and sharing lots of useful information re amenities, walks and destinations. The house was immaculately clean and well-maintained. A great place for a family holiday away from it all.

My husband and I had a perfect week in Letterard . Eileen is a perfect host. She met us upon arrival and gave us plenty of local information, needed although my mother is from the area! Eileens house is the the most modern and eco friendly home you could wish for. Fantastic views of the bay and wildlife gardens too! Looking forward to having a family reunion there soon!

My family had a super holiday in Eileen's place. House is exactly as described. The house was very clean, had everything you could need and more. Location is beautiful. Eileen was such a wonderful host, helpful, friendly and warm. I couldn't recommend this house enough.

Myself and my family stayed here for one week and it was absolutely fantastic. The views were sensational and being able to go for a swim each morning right on the doorstep was such a treat. The house itself was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking dinners in the kitchen. We all enjoyed the good weather with dinner outside on the outdoor table overlooking the stunning views. The house was easily assessable and it was only a short drive to the closest beach. It was an absolutely fabulous stay and we couldn't recommend it enough. Eileen was an amazing host and made sure we had all the amenities necessary.

What a comfortable, clean, warm and well looked after house. Eileen is a first class hostess, thoughtful, generous and respectful in every way. The views across the bay to Roundstone and the Twelve Pins are stunning. Gorgeous beaches a short drive away. Plenty of walks to suit all levels. A perfect get away!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at Teach Greine, we loved it! The house was more than we could have hoped for, warm, homely, plenty of space, flooded with light and stunning views. It was very comfortably furnished and had everything we could possibly have needed in the well stocked kitchen. I stayed with my two children ages 7 and 12 and they loved exploring the surrounding area and swimming in the sea off the rocks at the back of the house. My parents joined us for the last 5 nights and there was plenty of room in the house for us all. Moyruss beach is beautiful and only about a 5 minute drive away, with many other beaches close by. Roundstone and the beaches of Gurteen and Dog's Bay about a 25 minute drive away. Approximately a 45 minute drive or less from the house will bring you to Killary Adventure Centre / Kylemore Abbey / Connemara National Park / Clifden or to Ballyconneely for pony trekking. Back home now and I miss my morning coffee relaxing in the sitting room looking out over the view of Bertraghboy Bay and on to the Twelve Pins, perfect start to a day. Spent the last week in Teach Greine. Definitely home away from home. Beautifully warm and extremely well stocked in every aspect-large welcome pack, huge range of kitchen utensils, logs, briquettes and even starter pack for the cosy fire. Bed linen and towels generously supplied also. Fabulous views in a tranquil location. What more could anybody ask for?
