Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice place and location. We had maintenance visit 4 out of 6 days. There were TV issues, the pool was out of service for 2 days ( which we had to pay an extra $180 to have the heat turned on - this should be included with the rental price) and the freezer stopped working. All the issues were solved however a bit inconvenient. I would suggest some instructions for TV remotes and an overall information sheet - location of sheets for fold out bed - we found them but it took some time. I think more supplies should be on hand - ie more than 2 trash bags for a whole week, other rental agencies we have used at Seaside have provided a daily maid service - not so much cleaning but change of towels and trash pick up.

Had a few things that needed attention, but the staff was right there to correct them. A few suggestions: upgraded T.V, at least in main living area; shelf in the shower to put your "stuff" on instead of having to keep it on the floor. These are things the owner should do and has nothing to do with the management company. This was our third year staying at Compass Point 1-405 and we will be back next year. The management company could not have been more professional; plus, they were very nice and made every effort to make our stay a pleasant one. We look forward to returning. The view from the condo is spectacular!

Reviewer Comments: Keys were not in lockbox after 7.5 hour drive down on Sunday, but mgt. was able to get us into unit after calling the emergency # (if we had not kept that, we would have been in trouble). One key did not work. I am handicapped and do wish there were a boardwalk near the unit to the beach that is not so steep (my wife could not push me up the incline). Handicap height toilets would have also been a plus. Fan in guest bedroom sounded like it was about to burn out; we reported to mgt. and they said it would be fixed (we did not ask to have that done during our stay). Dishwasher was also unstable in frame; we reported it to have fixed after we left. Manager responded on 5/7/2012: We apologize again for the inconvenience you experienced with your check in. We have corrected the issue with the fan as well as the dishwasher. We do have other properties available that are handicap accessible that might be a better option for your next visit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying in the area and will most definitely come back. The beach is amazing, greenish/blue water and shallow so its ideal for wading out and tubing around. Really odd to hardly see any seashells though, not much in the way of beachcombing. The unit itself does face east, so you get bright AM sun. Condition inside is above average, granite, wood floors in the main area, then carpet in both bedrooms and tile in the baths. The only recommendation I would make is to update the balcony furniture, the set of directors chairs are somewhat weathered and difficult to scoot all the way up to the table. Just a few other things to be aware of, if you bring your dog, realize compass point is setup like a hotel almost, with inner hallways. So if your dog doesn't like hearing people talking walking down the hallway outside your unit, barking may be an issue. When we stayed, the main A/C unit that cools the halls was out, so little portable A/C units and fans on the hall floors were setup (which our dog was scared of). The whole community is posh posh, crushed shell pathways and sidewalks...awesome dog park too towards the front of the property!! Biggest 2 downsides we saw though were the lack of lighting in the community at night and the tennis courts. We assumed the dim lights were b/c of sea turtles, yet walking alone at night you need flashlights...just realize its really dark out there away from the street lights. The tennis courts were a huge disappointment, clay courts with tall thick brush around so if you hit your tennis ball over the walls, its pretty much unretrievable. Courts had line tape above the clay so if your ball hit that, it would throw it off its path. Not too impressed but love to play tennis. Bottom line, totally would stay here again, the fitness center is amazing!! Pools are superb, super pet-friendly, can't beat the sidewalk for running and cycling along 30-A and the beach rocks!!
