Everything! The location, kind family, adorable cats..

Very good price, location was good as well, easy access, nice balcony to use the internet or socialize. rooms were fine, was nice to have bathroom inside the shared room for 6, extra social toilet downstairs in case of anything middle of the night. or whenever the one inside your room is busy. Be aware that it seems that most the guests are surfists or doing something related with surf, and they have somethings available for surf as well ( I dont rememember if they were renting or selling the bike or the surf equipment .. one or another). small markets everywhere on the street and you can easily buy stuff to eat.

I need to be honest, the general crowd was fine, however they have some pets, and for more that it's a great incentive of not having the cats on the streets and doing the necessary care to them in order to castrate them, cats in general are everywhere on the lower floor, while you are required to remove shoes before get in (most of the guests are with sand from the beach which has black color ) however the couch and cushion are full cat's fur and upon sitting on it you will be full of it on your clothes, twice when I was eating cats come to you, and jump into the table, this part I did not like, I would say that it would be the same of having pets at home, and if you are comfortable to it, it's fine, and do not get me wrong, the place was good, staff was good, I like the project and what they do with the abandoned pets, but the jackpot is that cats are my least favourites.

Very nice hostel, felt like shared home with the other guests. Owners are very friendly and helpful, they're always around for a chat or help where needed. Nice and clean kitchen and shared areas. We hang around a lot on the terrace with other guests. Calm during the nights. Bakery, small market and restaurants... All around the corner.

Mattress could be renewed, bathroom cleaned a bit better. But we enjoyed the room anyway and definately would book it again :-)

The owners are both so lovely and friendly and were happy for us to stay until our night bus later that night. The room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was clean, there was plenty of nice outdoor space. a short walk to the beach and restaurants.

Good location, very basic accommodation - no frills.

our room wasn’t very well lit so it gave a dingy feel. I was bothered by the amount of cat hair everywhere in the common areas - didn’t feel like hanging out in those areas because of that. Bathrooms can use an upgrade. Bit of mould and rust.

Super nice familiar hostel. I Would go there again everytime when I'm in Huanchaco. They even supported the street dogs and cats.

Room could of been cleaner, paintwork. However 2nd bedroom I had was very clean.

I loved the cats soooo much! They were so sweet and friendly! Staff were lovely for the most part. The room was clean and we'll cared for and the shower had hot water!! The kitchen was a bit messy but it seemed clean and had good equipment.

I didn't have any warning about the fact the hostel has so many cats and I am allergic so it was an uncomfortable start to our stay (I was fine after antihistamines). For anyone else who is allergic there is no avoiding the hair, the cats are all over the place but they are really lovely so worth it!!

The hosts are just so lovely and helpful. The cats they have taken in are so cute and friendly. The location is great, right next to the beach and some great restaurants.

The hosts are very nice and welcoming. They recommended us surfing which was a great choice. And they helped us with a lot of other things (like a great lunch restaurant). the rooms are fine, the kitchen is nicely equipped and the shower is great. Huanchaco is also a really nice city to stay. We would definitely recommend!

The stuff were amazing and very nice. The hostel is very pleasant and clean, highly recommend.

Gigi and Dario were wonderful hosts and really made us feel at home. The hostel is really clean, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the water is hot with a nice pressure. The hostel is close to the beach and as it is not on the main road it is very quiet at night. They also provide filtered water and tea, yoga mats and some other exercise equipment.

Our room was a bit damp and so could be a little musty at times.

Really spacious, clean, good kitchen, owners were so kind and offered us a later check out due to nobody coming!

Maybe somewhere indoors to eat would be nice as it can be cold at night

Gigi and Dario are some of the nicest people I’ve met in my many years of traveling in Peru. The vibe of this hostel is fantastic, and I had amazing conversations with everyone I met while staying here. Hot water, comfy bed, and lots of animals to love on made this the perfect place for me to stay. Gigi even gave me a front door key after I checked out to make sure I could come back and hang out in the public areas, which I really appreciated!

I loved it!

Dario and Gigi make you feel like family the minute you walk in the door - even at 5 am after a night bus. They were both extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. They have a fully equipped kitchen that is perfect for making your own meals and a great store across the road with fruit and veg! Hot showers and comfy beds. If I’m Huanchaco this is definitely the place to stay. When we come back to this area we will definitely return, thank you!

Nothing really. The only thing I can think about is a bedside light would have been good!

We booked the place for two days and we ended up staying for a week!💗 this is an amazing place with an incredible hosts Gigi & Dario. They both are super nice and are very helpful with everything you need. The shower has hot water like I never had in South America (been traveling for 4 months), the place is soooo clean and the kitchen is fully equipped. There two markets at the street, two minutes away from the hostel, and the sea is also 2 minutes away. if it would be up to us we would never leave🌸💗😸
