Perfect place with super-helpful and kind hosts.

We had a lovey stay in Bologna. Our hosts were very easy to communicate and helped us book taxis, make reservations for dinner, etc. The apartment is very nice and comfortable and is in a very convenient location. We would highly recommend this spot!

We had an excellent stay at this very special property. Giuseppina met us at the apartment when we arrived and spent a nice long time telling us about the apartment and the wonderful city of Bologna. Her English is much better than our Italian and we could communicate with each other quite easily. She made restaurant reservations for our first evening and also reserved a taxi for us for the day of our departure. The apartment itself is very spacious and so nicely furnished and designed (emphasis on design). The bedrooms are modern and comfortable as are the two bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you would ever need and was a delight to use. The couch in the living room was a beauty with such a special design form that I took a photo so I could try to find one in the US. I am told that the company does do business here. We really enjoyed the large furnished patio, adorned with lots of greenery, for coffee in the morning and drinks in the afternoons. Both Giuseppina and Marco were available to us at a moment's notice for advice on restaurants and train travel to lovely towns nearby. They could not have been more gracious. We recommend this property without hesitation.

The Red Door Apartment and our host, Guisippina, were both wonderful. The apartment was clean, comfortable, attractive and in as good a location in central Bologna as one could wish. Guisippina took care of us as if we were family, on arrival, during our stay and on departure. Highly recommended.

Giuseppina, the host, was so welcoming and helpful, personalising information and making bookings and reservations for us. Porta Rossa is centrally located so everything is within walking distance. The jewel in the crown is the spacious terrace with it’s abundance of succulent plants. A lovely area to relax in with a glass of local wine

There are just not enough superlatives to describe how wonderful the property itself is: So very spacious, comfortable seating, squeaky clean, and incredible location. The patio was a gorgeous bonus space to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an aperitif in the afternoon. The owner went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed; when the guests who had just checked out broke the washer, the owner had the laundry picked up and washed everything at her house! So grateful for her communication and assistance. She provided a very thorough and informative email with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. The location was a quick 18 minute walk to the train station where we caught a train to Modena one day and to Ravenna the following day. The property would make an great homebase for day trips by train to many of the larger cities. We give this our highest recommendation!! (We are seasoned travelers to Italy ( 11 trips) and have used VRBO for all of our property rentals.)

Fantastic location to see historic Bologne. Close to fabulous local restaurants and markets/grocery stores. Guiseppina & Marco helped with great suggestions and were on hand to assist any time - their communication was impeccable. Would happily stay here showing if back in Bologne.

Communication with the hosts was wonderful from the moment we booked this property to the moment we arrived then at check out. The information provided about the property and the town was so helpful and made our first stay in Bologna perfect! The property was just what we needed for a family of 4 looking to be close to the city center with plenty of restaurants and fun things to do and locations to explore. This was a really great place. Fabulous location. Caring and helpful hosts. Wonderful patio. A/C. We had such a wonderful time here. We spent a lot of time on the patio, particularly in the evenings. We cooked several meals in the very well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed hanging our clothes to dry after using the excellent washing machine. And really appreciate our always helpful hosts. Bologna was also a treat. We loved the porticoes, and found them very helpful in the heat.

Beautiful well appointed spotlessly clean apartment close to everything. Very quiet with all the comforts you could want. Marco and Giussy were wonderfully responsive hosts and made themselves available to answer any questions. They were warm and welcoming. We look forward to a return to Bologna soon!

The Red Door was a fabulous apartment in a centrally located area of Bologna. The space is so comfortable and easy for 2 couples. The hosts thought of everything, from coffee pods, kitchen items, toiletries to blankets to wrap up in on the terrace. Communication was excellent and the hosts responsive to our needs. The place is exactly as advertised. Pictures in the listing are accurate. We really enjoyed the patio as we had our breakfast and morning cafe while enjoying the morning sun. The apartment is located close to the centre of Bologna so is easy to get around. Our host Guiseppina was wonderful. Took her time to show us all the features of the place and took time to answer questions throughout our stay. She even assisted with arranging taxis to the station for us. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at the flat. Giuseppina was very helpful, booking us a restaurant and posting a t shirt I left behind. The best part was the location. Tucked away from the crowds but very central. Very clean and spacious. Thank you!

Loved the location, lovely outside deck, kind and responsive host. The second bathroom needs a shower curtain.

First of all our hostess is a lovely lady! The apartment is neat, clean, fun! Although the weather was too hot enjoy the terrace it was wonderful to have a lush outdoor space.

We arrived late and Giuseppina was waiting for us. She couldn’t have done more for us, offering information on cultural events, where to dine, and visit, even booking us in to dine at a local restaurant when we arrived, and arranged for a taxi when we left. The apartment is light, spacious with modern furniture and objet’art, and so quiet considering it’s central location. Within just a few minutes you can be where you want to be…..oh, and if you want to try out a little bit of the Italian language with her that’s ok too.

The best place we've stayed at in Bologna!

I always choose to stay in an apartment when I travel and this apartment is the best ever. Incredible really. It was spotless, very spacious and had everything you could possibly need. I was there for 8 days with my two sisters. Two full bathrooms and a laundry room with washer and dryer. It was in the perfect location within walking distance to everything, yet very, very quite. It had an elevator which was a Godsend considering the stairs I have had to climb in the past. The out door terrace was perfect for morning coffee and evening apertivo. We shopped at the markets and made two wonderful meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Seriously, I walked around that place in constant awe. Guisy, the owner was ALWAYS available. When texted she responded in minutes. There were three of us but I could easily see how this could accomodate an entire family or two couples giving you all the privacy you could hope for. This was by far the best apartment I have every stayed in.

We were greeted by Guispenna and she provided a welcome tour of the condo. She had 3 pages of suggestions of things to do, areas of interest, restaurants, etc that was very helpful. She also called and made reservations for us for appetizers and then another place for dinner. She even called our tour guide for the next day to make sure it was everything we were hoping for. The condo is spacious and clean. Washer and dryer was so convenient. The condo had coffee and tea for us. The patio with all her plants was a great space! We now consider her not only our VRBO host but also a good friend! If you are going to Bologna, you must stay at this place!

Everything was perfect! Guisy and Marco are the best host’s. The apartment is even better than described. We had everything we needed for a 3 week stay. We adore Bologna, and have found the perfect place to stay. All major sites are a short walk. The neighborhood has fabulous places for aperitivo and great dining options. If we could rate our stay and how accommodating Guisy and Marco were , we would give them a 20!

This was a perfect apartment and great location for exploring the city. The property was well equipped with everything we needed. Giuseppina was a wonderful host. She met us at the apartment and made us coffee, she called and made us dinner reservations at two of her favorite restaurants, she also arranged a taxi for us to the train station for our departure. She was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We have traveled all over Europe and having a host like Giuseppina made our visit to Bologna extra special. I would highly recommend this property and hope to go back some day:)

What an amazing apartment rental. Beautifully decorated and well appointed. Nice outdoor patio. Extremely quiet and comfortable beds. A great host. I was fantastic and you’ll love also.
