It was clear that the owner made every effort to ensure that guests would have an enjoyable stay. Perfect location to explore the southeast coast.

Great apartment! Wonderful pool and jacuzzi! Pretty view of the Portugese wind mill! Great location - just a few minutes short drive to a beatiful beach in Salema village filled with nice restaurants serving local fresh fish caught in the ocean. The place and restaurant is so popular with both locals and tourists that a reservation to Salema restaurants (Atlantico and Boia, for example) are required at least a couple of days in advance if you want to get a table in the evening. There is a very delicious restaurant called O Tiagos in the Budens village where the appartment is located - just a couple of minutes walk. But make a reservation at least one day in advance! The host Patsy is very active answering your questions and made very valuable recommendations about local places and activities to do. Air conditioniers were ineachroom of the apartment and wete very helpful in August. Our family of 6 people spent a wonderful week at the villa and we definately want to be back!

Foram dez dias super agradáveis em ambiente tranquilo ou agitado conforme nos apetecia. Na vila pacífica de Budens mas perto da agitação de Lagos. Com praias mais desertas a oeste ou mais quentes a sul. Uma piscina super tranquila e um jacuzzi a cereja em cima do bolo. Divisões espaçosas muito bem equipadas e confortáveis. Com três filhos pequenos mais os avós conseguimos agradar a todos.

Communication with the owner was very good and the villa was ready to receive us as agreed. It was home from home with the added benefit of a wonderful swimming pool.

Amazing villa the pictures do not do it justice! Very spacious and clean. Pool area and hot tub are brilliant. Lovely location with everything you could want. Local restaurants,take away places and supermarket all within walking distance ideal for a villa holiday! Lots of local beaches, towns and bars only a few miles away by car bus or taxi. Super holiday will definitely be back again.

We had no rush for sunbeds each morning. We visited the local beach on foot and by taxi which only cost €8. I booked this holiday for a relaxing break with my 2 teenage daughters. The description of the villa was accurate and it was spotless inside and around the pool area. We had no rush for sunbeds each morning. We visited the local beach on foot and by taxi which only cost €8. Overall we had a great time and we would definitely recommend this villa to others, so much we have already booked for later this year.

We were so impressed with this beautiful villa...it is set on the edge of Budens and is lovely and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the local amenities, and only minutes to an amazing beach. The villa itself is really spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you could need provided. It has a big balcony overlooking the pool, and as most of the other villas balcony's overlook the golf course it felt very private. The kids loved the pool and spent most of their time in it, and the grown-ups were able to relax on the balcony and still keep a close eye on the kids. We also loved the hot tub - what a lovely way to spend an evening! The inbuilt BBQ on the balcony was great and had lots of use too. Budens itself has an amazing supermarket only a few minutes walk away that seems to stock just about everything you could think of. It has a bakery, butchers, fishmongers and an off-licence, so self-catering was made really easy...we especially recommend the ready-cooked chickens which were really delicious and perfect for a quick easy dinner after a busy day. We did hire a car for our stay and made full use of it visiting all the local beaches. They were all beautiful so we were spoilt for choice, but our favourites were Salema which was only a few minutes away and has a lovely sandy beach and lots of restaurants and bars, Praia das Cabanas Velhas which has an amazing covered area with beanbags for chilling out and a fab restaurant, and slightly further away Praia da Ingrena which had rock pools and snorkelling for the kids. We also took the kids to Aqualand for the day which they absolutely loved - lots of adrenaline rides to keep them happy. (Pick up the fliers handed out at the airport as they give you a decent discount). Only 20 minutes drive away is Lagos which is a beautiful historic town with all the touristy things to do. We loved the sea kayak trip we did to the local caves, dolphin watching and also had a very successful sea fishing excursion which provided our BBQ feast for that evening! If you want to eat out then there are lots of restaurants nearby. We had a delicious meal at O Tiago restaurant in Budens where the staff were lovely (they also advertise take-away although we didn't try it), and one evening we also caught the bus from Budens into Lagos. We have already booked out next fortnight at the villa - can't wait to return as we have fallen in love with it and the area.

Owners were very helpful telling us about local beaches and couldn't fault it. Local amenities are good with a great supermarket with a great fishmongers , butchers etc. We visited the local beaches ... One a nice walk away and all the rest within 10 to 15 minutes drive. Lagos is a short drive or a local bus service .... I believe there's also bus services to local beach but we didn't try them . Lagos marina is a great place to visit with lots of activities ( dolphin watching , fishing and canoeing etc ). We were spoilt for choice , either enjoying the villa pool , barbecue and jacuzzi or visiting the local restaurants and beaches. Would definetly recommend and plan to return.
