Great apartment with stunning sunset view from the balcony. The pool on the roof was awesome and the air on worked great!

There is no WiFi which can be difficult for foreign tourists.

The owner lady welcoming guests was very nice and smiling (but does not speak English; her daughter does over mobile phone). The apartment is situated in a quiet street (except the many dogs barking until 11pm .. not always and not that bad ..), approximately at a 15 minute walking distance from Otranto city center, in a 6 apartment building over 2 floors. The accurate address is : Via Ilaria Alpi, 5, Otrante, Lecce, Italia. There is an indoor parking space in the garage of the basement. The living space is sunny and accesses a large terrasse equipped with a table+chairs and relaxing chairs+sofa :-) Some large white curtains protect from the sun. The kitchen is functional but could be better equipped (glasses, linens ...). The bathroom is nice (was not very clean though). Hot water always available. The 2 bedrooms are nice (one bigger than the other). However, the beds are getting old (the big bed creaks). In the smaller room, the large bed can be separated into 2 smaller ones. The air conditioning is working well (was 32°C outside). There is no WIFI connection. Mobile network (4G) not so strong but functional. The swimming pool on the rooftop is nice and clean. I used the large space around it to workout every morning :-)

When we arrived it took an hour till the key holder arrived with the keys, even when I had communicated the time to arrive. The apartment was not really clean. But everything was there to cook and sleep. There is 1 airco for the whole apartment so you have to put it very cold when you're not there to have a nice temperature when you are in. It's a building with a lot of apartments to be hired by young people, so a lot of noice at night, at the pool young people with alcohol and smoking,... I asked in advance to leave at 12h but that was not possible because the cleaning lady should arrive at 10h. The day we left we were waiting till 11h for the key holder but did not arrive... I did a whatsapp to say the key's were on the table and we closed the door. (not really professional) Also the garbage was our responsibility... was not something I want to do during my vacantion...

The location was excellent, just a short walk into Otranto. The owners were lovely, checked up on us via Whatsapp mid stay and also agreed a late check out on the Monday as we had a late flight which was a huge bonus. They dropped us some friselle, biscuits and herbs off on our last day to take home. The apartment was clean and the blackout shutters were great to help you sleep. Our children loved the rooftop pool. We would recommend the apartment if staying in Otranto.

The air conditioning was in the hallway only so hasn't really effective in the bedrooms. This wasn't a huge problem as we had bought some fans when staying elsewhere the week before.
