I really enjoyed the privacy that I got there. The owner also gave us full freedom to come and go as we please and was approachable for anything we needed.

The owner was very friendly, the facilities were great and in a very good condition (including the swimming pool). A nice and quit location with a brilliant view on Helderberg.

The cottage and its gardens are quite beautiful in the midst of Stellenbosch wine country and under the iconic hills of that area. The cottage is well-equipped and attractive. The gardens contain a lovely pool, where if we had had longer we would have loved to spend many lazy days...

Our daughter was a little overwhelmed by Fiona's beautiful and impeccably-behaved (but rather big and bouncy, for a 6-yo) Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Nothing not to like, but families with small children will get the gist.

At the end of our South Africa trip we stayed at Fiona for a few nights and regretted not having stayed longer: beautiful grounds, great apartment (we were in the Willowtree), pool and outdoor area very well-kept and lovingly landscaped spacious garden. Fiona brought us super delicious breakfast and our daughter loved to watch the horses that Fiona looks after. Great location near Stellenbosch (10 min by car) to make it easy to explore Cape Town, the Western Cape, even possible to make game drives within an hour car drive. The International Airport of Cape Town is only 30 min away. Opposite an excellent restaurant on Winery Road (walking distance). Very safe, very familiar, we felt very comfortable. Thanks Fiona for wonderful days in Acara and your warm welcome! We hope to see you again!

Nothing - just book!

Fiona is a great host, friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making you feel welcomed. Very nice garden, with horses and animals around. Easy to find and park. Great views. Quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. Nearby restaurant was a good choice for dinner.

Swimming pool water was not clean (though filtering was done and cleaning tools were used), not inviting for a dive or swim. Pity because pool area is very nice and perfect for a late afternoon relaxing time. No breakfast included, so we had to drive up to Stellenbosch for a good coffee / fresh bakery (followed suggestion for nearby options, but were disappointing).
