Absolutely beautiful views, you hear nature everywhere. He served us tea and coffee as soon as we walked in. Property was very very comfortable for me and both my boys. Nimal and his wife are very sweet, came to meet us in town. Took me personally to get a Ayurvedic massage and stayed there. Got us cheaper Tuk Tuks for nine arch bridge. Very clean and healthy breakfast in the morning. My son loved the lentils and he made sure to bring more. Nimal was very kind! I wish I could have stayed longer.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Nimal war klasse. Die Lage und Aussicht der Unterkunft waren top und Nimal hat uns bestens versorgt. Das Frühstück war ein Traum, vor allem die frischen Früchte, Smoothies und selbstgemachten Kokos-Pancakes. Er hat uns täglich viele Tipps gegeben und super unkompliziert alles organisiert. Mit seinem Taxifahrer durften wir eine private Tagestour machen. Zuerst ging’s in die nahegelegene Halpewatte Tea Factory und anschließend zu den Diyaluma Falls. Beides sind traumhafte Ausflugsziele und tolle Erlebnisse. Ebenso hatten wir einen Kochkurs bei Nimal, bei dem er mit uns lokale Spezialitäten zubereitet hat. War ein super toller Abend und bringt viele Einblicke in das Leben dort, vor allem auch durch die Gespräche mit ihm. Wir würden jederzeit wieder zurückkommen und sind unglaublich happy über unseren Aufenthalt bei ihm.

Nichts

Der Eigentümer(Nimal) war super nett, hat uns mit Tee empfangen und und uns Tipps gegeben was man in der Gegend noch machen kann. Er hat uns an unserem Abreisetag extra um 6 Uhr morgens Lunchpakete gemacht. Ausblick war fantastisch mit Sonnenaufgang morgens und auf der Terrasse konnte man Abends sehr gut die Sterne sehen da die Unterkunft etwas abgelegen ist. Würde definitiv wieder kommen. :)

Der Schlaf war nicht so gut in der ersten Nacht, lag aber nicht an den Betten sondern an den Hunden in der Umgebung die in der Nacht gebellt haben. Moskitos gab es auch einige, ist dort aber überall so. Dafür kann die Unterkunft aber nichts. Es war keine Klimaanlage vorhanden, haben wir aber auch nicht gebraucht, selbst den vorhandenen Ventilator hatten wir nicht im Einsatz da es in der Gegend eher kühl ist.

L’hébergement était parfait, la vue depuis la terrasse y était jolie. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux et très bon. Les hôtes étaient très gentils et accueillants. Je recommande vivement

De locatie ligt prachtig in de heuvels en dichtbij Ella. Wij verbleven hier 2 nachten met onze familie. Nimal heeft 2 x voor een heerlijk diner gekookt. Ook het ontbijt was fantastisch. Wij hebben het hier erg naar ons zin gehad.

Nimal and his family have been the most welcoming and caring hosts during the time I spent in Ella. They made sure I felt like at home and always managed to meet my requests and assist me in everything I needed. The guesthouse is in a wonderful location with the best view over the mountains of Ella, but still very close to Ella town (easily reachable by foot in 20 mins o 3/4 mins of Tuk Tuk) and perfect to visit the main attractions of the area. The rooms are wide and clean, and count on a beautiful view over the mountains. Also the guesthouses has a very nice terrace where guests can relax, enjoy the view and practice yoga on request. The food Nimal and his wife cook for breakfast is just delicious and made with love: a real taste of Sri Lanka. Also, I had the chance to do a 1-1 cooking class with Nimal where we prepared 6 different types of rice and curry: it was just super fun and very tasty, I loved the experience. I really recommend to stay at Nimal Nest Inn also for the friendly atmosphere of the guesthouse; I had the chance to meet other travellers during my stay and all of us were really happy to share the time there.

Firstly, I don’t think there are enough great words to describe what an incredible host Nimel is. From the moment you book, you are treated as a VIP guest. Once I told him my plans for Ella, he planned everything for me seamlessly and effortlessly. I didn’t have to think about anything apart from what to eat…and even then he had great suggestions! He even accompanied me on two hikes as my personal guide, and for that I am eternally grateful. Nimels Nest Inn is exceptional because of Nimel himself. He is a wonderful host, has a beautiful family, he’s incredibly well connected to arrange all your transport needs instantly and is probably the only Sri Lankan I’ve seen who treats his pets like pets - with gentle love and care. His kindness and authenticity is evident everyday and I’m so thankful to have had the pleasure to have stayed at his guesthouse. Secondly - the views from the Inn are stunning. It sits at the top of the hill with a balcony boasting panoramic views, but only an easy 10min walk into Ella centre. Also a very close walk to the famous Nine Arches Bridge. It was also the best breakfast I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. His wife’s egg hoppers are 10/10 and Nimels fresh juices are absolutely delicious. Don’t hesitate for a moment to book, you will be getting the best host in town who makes you instantly feel safe, comfortable and at ease. He made my time in Ella the best experience and its doubtful anywhere will be able to top his warmth, authenticity and vibe. Nimal takes great pride in his place and truly wants to ensure his guests are top priority. I hope you visit again in the near future.

I had such a wonderful experience there. Nimal is so kind and trustworthy and knows all the great places around. He took me to several places on his scooter and they were all so beautiful. He makes a very nice breakfast and I loved his dogs!! They are so well behaved and he really takes care of them. The place has a great jungle view and it’s about 8-10 min walk from the center of Ella, a really chill walk alongside the railway:) If I ever come back to Ella, I will definitely stay there again.

Nimal is een fantastische host en maakt je verblijf in Ella tot een succes. Hij heeft ons eigen met alles goed geholpen: huren van een scooter, yogales, de was, diner bij de accomodatie, alles was top!

Very homely and cosy place not too far from the city centre. Nimal, the host, was extremely lovely, kind, helpful and fatherly! It was such a great experience for my friends and I. Enjoyed the conversations we shared and also Nimal personally took us on a hike up Little Adam’s Peak. Really appreciate this stay! Many thumbs up for this wonderful experience!

Lovely stay at Ella Nimal Nest Inn. Everything was as described in the booking. The views were beautiful! Rooms were spotless and price was fair. Nimal and his wife prepared us a delicious breakfast each morning. Each day Nimal helped us with our itinerary and gave expert advice with directions to and from different attractions. This made our lives so much easier!

Idyllic location with stunning views. The main area of Ella was reached by a ten minute stroll along the train line. A private terrace. Two double beds. An amazing host. An excellent breakfast.

Quiet location a 10 minute peaceful walk to town. Excellent views for the sunrise I’ve Little Adams Peak. Nimal runs an excellent little hotel with his wife. Breakfast was perfect on the deck overlooking the valleys below. Nimal also can help arranging taxis, or tuk tuk. And provided the perfect walking directions to see all the highlights in Ella😊

We had such a great stay at this place! Nimal, his wife and the whole team were just incredibly nice. The room and the whole hotel were super clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had there the best breakfast on our travel through Sri Lanka. Thank you once again for this! Nimal is such a nice and helpful person. He’s taking care of 5 super cute and friendly street dogs, which are happy to be petted from time to time. Nimal also helped us to organize a really cool daytrip and our further travel. We were very happy and lucky to stay at his place and get to know him. We were even a bit sad when we left this magical place. We would definitely come back once again, if we have the chance to. Once again, thank you so much for making us feel so very comfortable.

The hotel owners, Nimal and his wife are the best hosts I have ever met. I had a health issue and Nimal took care of me all the time, organized the ambulance super fast and kept me company at the hospital as I was alone. He made me feel like part of his family and organised everything to make sure I had a great time in Ella. I couldn’t recommend more starting at Nimal’s hotel, not only the views are incredible and the food but the people working there are the best human beings.

We had a great time at Nimal Nest Inn. Nimal is a great host and was there for us for any questions and to organize things and give advice on what to do. Nice small family run business. We felt very much at home and welcomed. There are many street dogs in Ella and Nimal gave all the dogs food who came in the morning or evenings. The dogs were so happy to get fed, they were very friendly and made friends with us. Every morning "Litchi" and pregnant Doggie "Brownie" waited in front of or door to get petted and play. We spent a lot of time with the dogs. The room was also very nice - amazing view, big bed, everything you could need like kettle, mini fridge, hair dryer, ... Nimal and his wife made us breakfast every morning - fruit, fresh fruit juice, eggs, pancakes, tea/coffee, ... We can highly recommend Ella Nimal Nest Inn, if you come to Ella!

Increadible!!! The breakfast was fresh, healthy and it wasn't everyday the same. We found it really nice that Nimal asked with us one day before what we want for a breakfast. I can write Nimal, Nimal, Nimal and again Nimal we loved the time there! Nimal helped use with the organization of our activities, he painted use a map with the way to the Ella Rock, little Adams Peak and for all other Locations. His network in Ella is really good, he has a really friendly, patient and reliable Tuk Tuk Driver you have took his Number he will pick you up all the time! Nimal nest in has the best location with the best View in Ella. Wow But the best thing was for us than Nimals treats the streetdogs (No Name :D) very well, gave them food, Love and time to relax. We would come again! We can recommend Nimal Nest Inn 1000000%!

it was a wonderful stay at the Homestay and we really enjoyed it - we extended the stay for a few more night because we really loved it. Nimal is always smiling and a warm-hearted person. He was really looking at us and our needs, always helping us and gave us a lot of tips for good trips. the room and bathroom is really clean and comfortable. the breakfast is delicious and a lot. And the best is the amazing view at mountains. we really recommend to stay here!!

First of all, Nimal is such a wonderful person and host! He was not only very welcoming but giving us (three friends) the best tips on what to do, he arranged a yoga session and ayurveda massage on short notice, accompanied us on a sunrise hike to Ella rock and served us the most delicious breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. We planned to stay for two nights but extended for another one. We plan to come back one day and we will then also do a cooking course with him! We were very well taken care of. The rooms were clean and had a nice view over the mountains. At the same time there is a shortcut so it only takes you 8-10 minutes by foot to reach Ella town. Highly recommend!

at first look it seems out of town, but the location was great. out of town enough that you have some peace and quiet( town was busy with a holiday), but the walk along the train tracks, 2-3 minutes, brought you by a great restaurant( ellasian) and to the upper part of town. the breakfast was one of the best in Sri Lanka. Nimal was very nice, organized a taxi for us when we couldn’t take the bus. the view from the place is great.

Extraordinary nice guest house in the nature with very clean rooms and wonderful, friendly and helpful owners. we felt welcome with the first second! Everyday a delicious breakfast ! 😀

We ended up staying two nights instead of one because we liked it so much here. The location is 1km from Ella center, the walk is hilly but manageable and actually pretty enjoyable. You can reach the railway for all the hikes very easily. The view is amazing! We were unfortunate to arrive during fog but the mornings were always so clear and beautiful. Facilities including WiFi and hot shower were all very good and working well. Nimal is a great host, with good knowledge of the area and good tips to help you make the most of your stay. He also did laundry for us.

The walls are quite thin so on the second night we could hear the family next door. I didn't find it an issue but could be for someone else.
