Loved the cottage and the area. Enjoyed sitting out and watching the world go by. Great hosts and facilities. Will definitely be back.

The house is beautifully decorated, quiet and peaceful and on a beautiful road. Anat's instructions were clear and we encountered no problems. We very much enjoyed our stay and would go back.

We visit the 'Gunks often and feel very fortunate to have discovered Leggett Cottage for the last 5 days of our visit. The cottage is beautifully renovated, with lots of open space, light, and great air conditioning for the very hot days. The views from the back terrace were lovely -- horses in the field and a beautiful garden. We rode and walked on the nearby O & W Rail Trail and Anat showed us where to store our bikes when not in use. Our interactions with Anat and Jamie were very cordial. We had a very peaceful visit and highly recommend the cottage. We'll be back!

The property was clean and quiet. There is a nice walking trail nearby. The bed was comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Anat and Jamie's 1 bedroom cottage in High Falls. The location is fantastic (right near a bike trail) and we enjoyed total privacy while knowing the owners were close by if we needed anything. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable, clean and charming. We are planning to return soon!

This was one of the most idyllic spots imaginable, and the care and attention to detail of the owners is exemplary in the outfitting of a beautifully-renovated kitchen, and in original artwork by the owners displayed throughout. Very comfy bed and lovely patio off the dining area, overlooking a horse pasture with equine friends grazing nearby. I will return!

High Falls is our favorite hamlet in the Mid-Hudson Valley and our stay here was perfect! The location is very close to Main St with its wonderful restaurants. The other thing I loved was the really interesting artwork. But overall a great find. Don't hesitate to make this your home base any time of year.

Nice space a little a bit off the main road. Quiet. Clean and well supplied kitchen. Downside: small TV (are you really there to watch TV?) and only fair water pressure.

I enjoyed my stay at Anat’s house, it was comfortable and well equipped. It is situated close to the Catskills, Gunks and not far from Kingston and New Paltz.

This a lovely cottage in a peaceful, scenic area with great access to the Hudson Valley. Anat gave us helpful tips on places to see. The kitchen is very well-equipped with top of the line appliances. And the porch is charming; one night we sat there and just listened to the crickets and what we thought were tree frogs. It’s a charming and bucolic place. A downside, however, is that the bed is super soft, so if you like a firm mattress, the bed may not be comfortable for you.

This was our first stay at 246 Leggett, and it exceeded our expectations. There is some road noise, but I was pleased with the stillness and quiet, nonetheless. The cottage is nicely appointed, with good separation between the bedroom and the living area--something that is important to us. We had meals indoors, on the front porch and in the back yard. The house is surrounded by perennials and mature trees; horses graze in an adjacent field. I heard an owl early one morning. Anat and Jamie are warm and helpful. This felt more like hospitality than a 3-night rental. We hope to stay there again!

Anat and Jamie were wonderful hosts- warm, and welcoming. The cottage was beautiful- clean, accommodating, and peaceful. Also a great location. Had lots of fun hiking and biking. Minnewaska and Mohonk were breathtaking (just a short drive away). Lots of great restaurants, shops, and venues in town and in neighboring towns as well. In the evenings we ventured the rail trail which Is within walking distance from the cottage! Great perk! We can’t wait to come back for a fall/winter trip! Loved! Relaxing but never boring! Clean charming cute and quiet, the perfect weekend spot for us, and the location put you right near Mohunk Preserve , New Paltz , High Falls, and Kingston is not too far either. Watch the horses play in their paddock while you have your cofffee.

My husband and I were celebrating our 27th anniversary in the Hudson Valley region. Our stay at Anat and Jamie's was excellent. The home is well appointed with lots of wonderful dishes, glass ware, and appliances. There is a Krups drip coffee maker plus a French press and they even had a coffee grinder, if you want to grind fresh beans. The house is conveniently located within 15-20 minutes of lovely towns and the house is very close to several hiking trails. We had a wonderful blend of hiking, shopping, eating and relaxing. We highly recommend this rental property and we loved that it came with towels, sheets, paper products, and dish soap and hand soap. It is lovely to not have to pack those additional items. Anat and Jamie are wonderful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful grounds in a quiet area of High Falls, cottage was very clean, roomy and comfortable, kitchen was amazing, back patio with barbeque & table & chairs overlooking adjacent horse ranch, owners live on the property and were very friendly and accommodating. The only negative for me , not my companion, is the bed could have been better and the TV was too small for the viewing distance. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time here. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, beautiful. The hosts are terrific. There was a wonderful view out back of pastures and horses in the distance and right behind a garden where we saw a hummingbird and butterflies. We had a great time.

So pretty! Stone terrace and cottage garden, privacy and sunshine. Living room very comfortable, kitchen well supplied and bathroom/shower very good. A short walk down the road is a trail head for the O and W rail trail, which is great walking. Our hostess was helpful and welcoming, gave us restaurant recommendations. She had lots of great info and books about the area set out in the cottage. Her house is very close but sitting on the stone terrace you are alone with the woods and fields. Cons: We weren't there to watch TV but it was very small. Also, the bed could have been better. All in all it was a great getaway, and we enjoyed our cottage stay.

When we walked into this cottage, we were struck by the serenity and beauty of the place. Simply and elegantly furnished with gleaming hardwood floors, there was beautiful original art on the walls and views of flowers and fields out the windows. Our host was warm and welcoming and we were grateful for our rest in such a wonderful environment. We were self-sufficient in a fully-equipped and impressive kitchen, so we had relaxed breakfasts with a view out the sliding glass doors of fields and horses grazing and hummingbirds sipping at hosta flowers. We feel lucky to have met our host!

You've heard of Southern hospitality? We came all the way from North Carolina and found wonderful hospitality from Anat and Jamie at the Leggett Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Convenient to the OW Rail Trail and Minnewaska State Park Preserve. And loved sitting on the front porch and back patio just reading. Highly recommended and if we are ever again in the neighborhood, we will stay again!

It’s always a pleasure to stay here. Even on a rainy day we can sit on the porch, sip tea, and admire the beautiful trees on the lawn. Great location. Cottage is the perfect place to unwind. We plan on coming back.

This is a beautifully renovated cottage with a butterfly garden and view of horse pasture from the back. O &W rail trail just down the road. We had a nice ride to historic Hurley. The hosts are gracious and nearby if you need anything.

When we left New York City in May in search of a long-term rental, we were so lucky to have found his perfect cottage on one of the loveliest streets in the High Falls/Stone Ridge area. The comfortable cottage was just the right size for the two of us with everything we needed including a well-equipped kitchen with excellent appliances. What we didn’t know when we arrived was that Anat and Jamie are world-class artists whose keen aesthetic sense is reflected in the design and contemporary art that fills the cottage. Anat and Jamie couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They even found a place for our bicycles. And although we thought we knew the area, Anat shared her knowledge of the locale that led to new discoveries. We were delighted and surprised when Anat brought us vegetables from her superb garden. For us, the best thing about the cottage was its organic connection to the outdoors. Whether having lunch on the covered front porch or relaxing on the stone patio set in Anat’s lush English garden, we were in-and-out all day long. We enjoyed the abundant bird life and felt our blood pressure lower as we looked out on to the picturesque horse pasture. We can’t wait to return to “our” perfect cottage.

We loved staying in this charming little bungalow with just the perfect amenities. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. Owners were easy to deal with. Definitely will return!

Unfortunately although the environment was quite lovely, my wife and I found the mattress to be excessively soft and both of us were not able to get a good night's sleep of the 2 nights that we stayed. We found this to be most unfortunate as the environment itself was quite nice

Exactly as represented in the listing. We toured Angry Orchard, Newburgh, Kingston, West Point. Not real close to any of those, but that gave us a reason to drive through the countryside. Helpful tip if you are staying in colder months... there are 3 different thermostats....you can control heat in bedroom and bath from the thermostat in the bedroom. Heat for Living room and kitchen with thermostat in living room. Thermostat facing kitchen is for air conditioning.

We've stayed here twice and plan to be back again!! 10/10 House: This place is exactly like the pictures show, just as spacious and accommodation. It has a full kitchen with a couple of pans, pots, and other useful tools, as well as a few common spices that you may have forgotten at home. We were able to make a few full meals here with ease. The back patio faces the neighbors' horse field which allows you to casually glance out the window at all times of the day to see the horses. The patio is at such an angle that it feels completely private. Throughout the house you can find helpful signs to let you know how to work appliances. Location: This is a prime location for all sorta of activities. It is far away enough to feel isolated in nature, but also close enough to a number of towns/events. Rosendale was a favorite town of ours to visit! It is less than 20 mins from Mohonk Mountain house and 10 mins from the Rail Trail hiking grounds. In our most recent trip we visited the Angry Orchard Visitors Center for samples and a tour. If you have any questions of what to do in the area, the owners have a whole collection of pamphlets/guilds of activities in the area. Owners: Both times we went up we only saw glimpses of the owners, they give you complete privacy in the cottage. They are accommodating and are fast responding to questions via email. From what we've put together, the owners are artists and some work of their's is displayed in the cottage!
