The cottage was close to the beach, stocked with everything we needed, and was very roomy. We had a great stay!!

Check-in was an ease! Debbie was very helpful and called early on the day of check-in to let us know this house was ready whenever we wanted to check-in. We literally had everything we needed! The bikes were a huge hit for our teenage daughters. We had a new grill and the umbrella for the outside dining was wonderful! We were able to shower off after the beach in the outside shower with hot & cold water. Previous reviews mention the beach issue with a particular house. We simply followed the signs posted on the beach to ensure we did "trespass" on her property. We had no problems. We will be back for sure! This was perfect for our family and having our local family come to visit us during the day.

Nice cozy House close to the beach. My family enjoyed using the bikes, firepit, kayaks, and beach chairs that were available. We had an issue with the A/C not working when we arrived. Called the owners who responded immediately that they would have their A/C guy investigate. We went to dinner and they called before our meal showed up that it was fixed. By the time we returned the A/C was indeed working and the house cooled off.

This property is everything advertised and more. When they say they have everything you need they mean it. No need to bring beach chairs, beach towels or toys. Everything about the place is homey and comfortable. Dan and Linda are very friendly hosts and respond to your inquiries immediately. There is also ample parking for a boat or multiple vehicles. The location is absolutely perfect. You are just steps from the beach and within walking distance to the bars and restaurants. We had such a good time and will definitely be back.

While this trailer home has been nicely updated on the inside and has the basic amenities, this listing would bring more value for the price with some additional upgrades. The property has very little landscaping, the tv setups are really confusing, the entry code was incorrect, there were no kitchen basics such as salt, pepper and cooking oil, and the kayak trolleys dont work. On the plus side, the beds are really comfortable and its a short walk to a spectacular beach. Beach access is confusing with lots of signs about private property, and this should have been mentioned in the listing somewhere as well.

"Lazy days" cabin was perfect for my family's getaway. Steps from the beach on a quiet island. Highly recommend this place. We will probably be back someday!

Great location near a beautiful part of the beach. Only issue is that AC had trouble keeping the house cool during the day.

We loved staying at your property. Everything was updated, comfortable and felt like a home. The location was perfect. The beach is right there. Plus, the Sand Bar is so close, it was a quick and easy walk up the street. Even if you don’t want to walk, you can always hop a right on Stumpy’s Free ride.

Stayed Jan 1- Feb 1, 2023 after IAN. The owners did an awesome job with repairs getting the place back in shape. Lovely home, very comfortable for 2 adult couples. Had everything we needed and more. Nice rear outdoor area and front porch with rocking chairs. Easy parking. Nice Owners and very responsive to the few little issues that came up. A healthy walk to the restaurants but not too far. Easy 10 minute walk to Stump Pass on the road. Did not have to cross the street to get to the beach, just 5 houses away. Master BR had private bath. The couple staying in the 2nd bedroom at the end of the hall had to use the bath directly off the dining room. That was the only negative thing for us because at night you had to walk past the master, through kitchen and dining room to get to the bath. Probably not a problem for a family. Nice size showers and good storage. We were the first in the rental so everything was new and the beds were nice and firm. Stumpy has a pickup right out front. We all had a very nice relaxing stay at Lazy Days. Thanks Dan & Linda

Husband & I rented property for 3 weeks in Feb 2023. Interior was recently painted. Paint was splattered on interior windows, floors and kitchen counters. Floors were filthy. No mop or bucket. My husband washed floors on hands and knees. Stove top was covered with grease which I cleaned. Stainless steel appliances needed cleaning. No SS cleaner so I used Dawn & wiped dry. The cordless vacuum cleaner was filthy as well. I told the owner he needs to deep clean unit. The master bedroom mattress was very comfortable. We were grossly overcharged given the condition of the property and will never return.

Our vacation was going great, house - perfect, weather - perfect, location- perfect; However, our vacation was rudely intruded on by hurricane Ian. Linda and Dan are very kind and look forward to rebooking for a take 2.

I and my family members so thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The decor fit the beach theme. We were just walks from the beach. We were able to see the sunrise and sunset. Any request made was accommodated promptly. A very peaceful stay. I would highly recommend all age groups to stay here.

First time using VRBO. Advertised as "just steps from the beach" with photos of kayaks, bicycles, a hammock and patio furniture. It was close to the beach and the beach is private but only for the houses adjacent to it. Everyone else is trespassing. The bikes were tied up and covered with a tarp making it difficult to use them. The hammock was impossible to climb onto. There were no straps to attach the kayaks to the dollies and the patio table was covered with green slime. With the service fee, cleaning fee and taxes the cost almost doubled. We were expected to do some of the clean-up even with a $150.00 cleaning fee. We used the public beach about a half mile away. We enjoyed ourselves, but not as fully as we expected.. we didn't call the property owners because we did not want to spend our time dealing with it.

Only the rain kept us in on Friday night, as we wanted to kayak. But the house had other great entertainment for us... TV, Books, Board Games, puzzles... So we did enjoy the beach on Saturday and found loads of little sharks teeth. This was a lovely property.

Proximity to beach is perfect, plenty of space on the sand. Will definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful property! Everything you need for your beach vacation. We enjoyed having the bikes, kayaks, BBQ grill and other amenities of the home. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy the space. The beach is steps away from this property. We made sure to sit closer to the water and did not have any issues with having space on the beach with the locals. Enjoyed Lemon Bay as much as the ocean. We were able to see manatees, dolphins, small sharks, sea turtles, starfish and the list goes on an on. Love this property!! Worth the stay.

However, we had problems finding a place to enjoy our beach days, the current situation with the people who have front beach homes are declaring PRIVATE and stating that their DEED goes into the water ("that was ridiculous") I have pictures of the owners on the beach blocking our access and also treating us to call the police. It was very frustrating because of the holiday weekend and all the other rental houses off the waterfront could not have enough room for everybody on the pathway. That made it very difficult and frustrated for us to put down the chairs and umbrellas. Because we only can take time off over the holidays I don't think I would choose this location anymore because of these issues with the front ocean owner's claims. Besides all that the house is great so is the location. That is why my overall review is 4 stars. Wishing the next renters the best of luck and hopefully, the situation gets addressed better with the county and this insane situation gets better for the homes that rent off the beach. We enjoyed our stay. Perfect location and home as described. Everything you need is provided.

Booking process went smoothly. Host was responsive. We had no trouble using the code to enter or leave the house. I have stayed in several beach homes in various beach communities. This cottage is a Florida original. It is dated, but has several amenities that really make it nice. Linda snd Dan have an outside shower with warm water. Seating area, bikes, kayaks, and beach chairs. When we arrived lights were on and welcoming. The air conditioner worked great. We didn’t do a lot of cooking, but household basics were there. Not a lot of extras. There were beach towels for guest use. When you walked in you feel the place was dated but clean where it counts. Beds were comfortable. Nice beach themed decorations. It is definitely 120 steps down a quiet private lane to where you enter beach sand on the beach. We had an issue with the input on the tv which was our doing and Linda answered her phone which she had left on the refrigerator promptly and had Debbie come and help us in the morning. Debbie is the the gal that cleans and was a treat to meet. We left feeling refreshed and our time memorable. Thank you Linda.

My husband and I and our daughter and son-in-law just returned home after a wonderful and relaxing stay at this property. The location is great, the accommodations were perfect for the four of us -- clean, relaxing and the perfect location. Outdoor area perfect for relaxing and enjoying the weather; the beach is literally steps away as advertised and easy to get to. The home itself accommodated the four of us perfectly -- we utilized the outside seating areas every day and evening (well, except for the torrential rainstorm one night!). The house is clean, easy to settle in and be comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the home, the location and the area. We had a wonderful time enjoying the area and these accommodations. Many thanks to Dan and Linda for making this home available for us to enjoy.

My experience was the same as Lupita had: Sheets had not been washed or changed. Towels were stained and dingy (not bleached) The dishes were actually dirty! I can only assume the previous tenant used the dishwasher without detergent! Even the coffee pot had not been cleaned. I too didn't want to be that person so just washed and bleached everything and changed the bedding. The sinks and toilet appeared clean and then one day bending over to pick something up I notice a ring of black mold all around the toilet rim (both toilets it turns out) so I also cleaned that. The fully stocked with everything is a bit misleading as well as there was not even starter amounts of dishwasher detergent or toilet bowl cleaner and the pantry items are not what the description states. However I did find bleach in the furnace closet. I was surprised to find a vacuum which helped but in all honesty I don't believe the floors had been properly cleaned since the renovation. The floors are totally unacceptable for a unit that rents in this area at comparable rates. Amazed at all the reviews that commented on how clean the place was because that is not what we found at all. We have been renting on the Key every year for Fifty years and never had a cleanliness issue like this before. When I spoke with Debbie and Linda they both replied that the unit "rents constantly" and NO I would not be refunded my cleaning fee. The place has a million dollars of potential! Two bedrooms two baths is fantastic and good showers although the exhaust fan in one bath does not work. Beds are comfortable. Rooms nicely furnished. But it truly only sleeps four. The appliances were all in good shape and clean. The washer and dryer fantastic thank God as we had to wash everything. Backyard is wonderful although we did find the grill to be overflowing with ash and broken although still usable. We cleaned out the fire pit only to find the wood supplied on the property was either too wet or too green or just not suitable for burning. We repaired a broken cabinet door and one of the bikes. We cleaned up much much more than would be expected! Again based on years of renting properties on this exact stretch of the key. So three stars for potential. ZERO stars for maintained and clean. Just being totally honest Sorry
