It was a great property but the downstairs was extremely cold… The temperature had gone down to 0 degrees and it took forever to get the downstairs temperature to 70 degrees… But overall we truly enjoyed this property and would rent it again…

The house was perfect for what we needed, a weekend getaway for my husband and our two kids and another family and their one boy. The kids all had the downstairs area and the four adults had the upstairs. The house is beautiful and very clean. The lake access was perfect, not too many steps. The dock was great, and the owners were super responsive and very nice. The only thing we were missing was a boat, which we will likely look into renting next time! Thank you for having us!

The house is gorgeous, the location is great and the lake cove beautiful. However we nicknamed the house bare-minimum, none of the 4 bedrooms have dressers (having to live out of our luggage of the floor giving it the feel of hostel stay) all the furniture and decor is very bare-minimum, giving the stay a cold vague vibe, not cozy or homey at all.

The house is in great condition and with all modern amenities. The dock which is not directly on the property is a great place for watching sunset! The layout inside home is perfect for fun downstairs with ping pong and TV and couches. The upstairs and porch is perfect for downtime and hanging out for all the lake views.

Had a great time at this property! Very clean & nice! Well stocked! The property owner was very accommodating! The checking in and out was very simple very well set up! The only One issue we had was needed a little more space in the room by the kitchen the fireplace area the couch & chair are not real comfortable and not enough for six people! Other than that simply great I would stay there again!

We spent 5 night and 6 days in this wonderful home! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of room for family and of course the lake! This home was clean and cared for. Quiet neighborhood and nice outdoor fire pit that we loved. Back porch a great place for coffee and meals. Just an overall great week!

This house is the the perfect place to get away. The pictures don’t do it justice. From looking in the front door out to the back at the lake. The house is decorated simply but classic. The kitchen is fully stocked so that you can cook any meal. The stove is induction so took a little to get used too but no problem. Tanya gives good directions on how to use it in a notebook she made with helpful information about the house. Washer and dryer were AWSOME especially when you use so many towels. The covered dock was perfect for our boat rental along with the use of the 2 kayaks that are part of the house. It was nice that the kayaks are kept locked up down at the dock so that you don’t have carry them up and down. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Loved the master bath walk in shower. It was easy to take care of this home as it were my own. If your looking for a perfect get away this is it!

This property is right on the lake with access to Lake Chatuge. We rented a boat from Boundary Waters Marina (suggested by the host) and they were absolutely wonderful. We were able to dock our boat at the house site which made it easy everyday to get on the boat and have fun. There are kayaks, tubes, and fishing poles available at the house, This house is designed for outdoor lake fun!!!! Lake access is from the lower level with towels hung up at the door. There is even a fire pit for family gatherings which we also used. We ate all our meals on the outside deck and played lots of board games out there too. The kitchen is fully stocked with lots of cookware. We loved the kitchen access to the deck. The entire house is spotless and perfectly decorated for lake fun. We will definitely rent this house again next year. All of our kids loved the space and didn't want to leave. This house is also centrally located with grocery only 4 miles away and Boundary Waters Marina only 5 miles away. Perfect location!!!!!

Wonderful private home surrounded by woods and easy access to the dock. Well stocked kitchen with a large dinning table for family meals. The only thing I would change would be to add a TV in the upstairs living room.

The cabin was just as described. We had a great time. Our favorite part was fishing on the dock, kayaking and our night fire pits.

The property was clean and actually nicer in person than the photos on VRBO. We loved the house layout, the peaceful dock, comfortable beds, and the fire pit. Location is a quick few minutes into Hiawassee where we grabbed groceries to grill on the very nice deck at the lake house.

We stayed at this beautiful new home with our two families over spring break. Everything we needed was at our fingertips and the location was a great! There were kayaks, fishing poles, a fire pit and even ping pong. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area!

Eternally grateful for the pleasure of staying at your cabin. Indescribably beautiful; perfect for our Christmas/New Year with the family. Tanya has thought of everything! The mattresses were so comfortable, soft sheets, everyone slept so well. Cabin decor was perfect, everything as pictured. Nothing will beat the view of the lake.... gorgeous! Gas grill worked perfect. Fire lakeside to roast marshmallows. Thank you again. Such a lovely place.

Everything about our stay was amazing! The cottage was so clean and perfect for our family. We even got a bonus...snow for Christmas!!! We definitely stay again if in the area.

The house is in excellent condition, and is well stocked. The owners are readily available. We felt like we were living in a treehouse, with a very filtered view of the lake.

The home was absolutely beautiful and the location was perfect. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and were able to rent a boat an tie up to the dock. Just perfect!

We stayed as a family of 5 and had an enjoyable and relaxing time. The home is exactly as pictured with all amenities needed. There was plenty of room to spread out. We played games, went kayaking, baked cookies and brownies and most of our meals. The home was located in an area with a short drive to town We will definitely be back for a future visit.

Our family loved our trip to Hiawassee. The house, dock, everything are exactly as you see them in the pictures! The owner was very communicative as well. We would stay here again!

This was the perfect getaway for our family. Relaxing and peaceful in a beautiful home.

This lake house was perfect. Our “framily” of 8 stayed here for 5 nights. The homeowner was quick to respond and was very helpful. There was plenty of room for all of us. Everything was spotless and clean for our arrival. It is a very convenient location to many towns and different attractions. We stuck to hanging out at the house and hiking the many trails that were near by. The road has easy access and the house was welcoming and felt very safe. The downstairs area was the perfect hangout spot for the kids. The adults enjoyed our evenings either around the bonfire or inside around the fireplace. Many great memories were made here and we hope to return again.

We are four ladies in our early 70's who have been friends for a very long time. We're all involved in caregiving for family members and need a little getaway every now and then. We decided to head up to the mountains of Georgia and found this beautiful home on Lake Chatuge in Hiawasse, GA. The house is lovely, spotless, spacious, comfortable, inviting, and cozy. We weren't expecting freezing temperatures when we booked our stay but despite the weather outside everything was perfect inside. We spent 2 1/2 days talking, laughing, eating, and sleeping. It was just what we needed. We all thought this would be the perfect place for any kind of get away. We also agreed that this be a great spot to come back to with our grandkids in the summer. We highly recommend this vacation destination!

Two friends and I spent the weekend here to go paddle boarding. The house was super clean and spacious and very convenient! Decorated just the way we would have chosen ourselves too. We'd definitely stay here again! Construction going on next door but it won't last forever. Neighbor did come over and apologize for starting at 7 am :) Access to water was awesome. We LOVED it.

Everything was wonderful. Just as promised. Very effiecient house for our family. We did have a major problem though.. when I went to book again for next August ..they are already booked! I am so sad! this home will be very popular.. Thank you Tanya for a special week with our family.
