Cabin was very clean, had everything we needed and property contact Richard was extremely attentive. The property is absolutely amazing. From the beautiful private lakes to all the wildlife. Roaring axis deer and beautiful grazing bison. So close to town yet you feel you are away on your own private ranch. Right next to a golf course and dining at Tapitio, but we did not want to leave. Grill and kitchen was perfect for our family stay. A hidden hill country oasis.

Stayed here 3 times. So awesome and look fwd to next trip. Richard is so great to deal with.

This secluded incredibly beautiful ranch with its own lakes, streams and expansive home is a true vacation treasure. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property, sitting by the campfire, watching the wildlife, movie nights in the TV theater room, doing crafts together on the large kitchen island, and driving through the hill country. This was our second stay, and we'll definitely be back!

It was a beautiful property far enough away from any traffic but close enough to convenience surrounded by the hills and scenery. We were lucky to wake up and see buffalo roam close to the house from our bedroom and porch areas as well as huge herds of access dear.

Three generations of our family gathered here for Thanksgiving and this place is perfect inside and outside. Beautifully appointed and well maintained. There were no complaints or problems. In fact, my wife and I look forward to staying here again in the spring.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very well maintained. There were some many deer and bison, amazing. We will stay there again the next time we come to see our grandkids.

We truly enjoyed our time at the Masters Lake Cottage and Cabin. We got to take advantage of outdoor cooking and some good fishing. The bison and Axis deer were beautiful to view on this little slice of heaven. We had 8 all together and we fit comfortably with the two houses. We would definitely recommend this place for families looking to enjoy the great outdoors. We will be back!

My husband and I recently spent a few days at The Masters Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house was very clean and had many amenities, and the property included a small private lake just a few steps away. We woke up the first morning and looked out the window to see 19 bison grazing around the lake. My husband caught lots of bass while fishing at the stocked lake too. We hope to come back soon!

An ideal secluded spot for rest and relaxation. This property is full of natural beauty with panoramic views of hill country and wildlife. Shaded areas for outside seating and a beautifully decorated home with lots of room to relax with family. The property manager was easily accessible and accommodated all of our needs. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.

Everything was as advertised and more. A very tranquil setting and loved having the buffaloes visit and graze in the mornings. We will be back.

This private lake property was the perfect oasis for our stay with our grandson. The spacious home and wonderful grounds were just what we needed. We enjoyed exploring the grounds, playing in the water, fishing, hiking, and seeing lots of wildlife- including a box turtle laying her eggs. The grazing buffalo were an unusual surprise. We definitely will be back!

This was a stunning property! Felt like we won the lottery; nothing quite like waking up to a herd of bison in the backyard and seeing my kids faces light up. These were the only bison we saw our whole trip too - it was unique. The home was spacious and graciously decorated. All furniture/beds were comfy and it was squeaky clean. We drove our rental car all over the property roads and really enjoyed our private slice of heaven. Also - the town of Boerne was ADORABLE with tons of restaurants and shops. We’d explore/do day trips but loved coming back home to this amazing property. Cut firewood is behind the fireplace by the master….we figured that out after picking up sticks all over the yard - lol. Highly recommended - we are already planning a trip back!

This is a wonderful home and surroundings. Located inside a high-fenced ranch with buffalo and axis deer. Great location next to Tapatio Springs Resort/Golf Club. They provided firewood which was outstanding for the cool nights we had. Definitely a return spot for us for another golf outing.

We had an amazing long weekend. The property is peaceful and beautiful. Wonderful, clean home and great host! Comfy beds, equipped kitchen, close to town, sitting on back porch and having nightly fires was the best part. We will be back.

Perfect family vacation home. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and a great media room. The outdoor space is amazing!! Porch with rocking chairs, wonderful fire pit for s'mores and a private lake!!

We had a wonderful time at this property! It was so peaceful and loved the outdoor mornings with coffee. We saw bison and deer. The kids had a blast outside. We even swam to cool off! Beds were comfy and everything was clean! Media room was a bonus!

We had a great time at this beautiful property and even caught some bass at the lake! Restaurants were a little drive away but not too far. The house was very clean. Lots of wild Axis deer are everywhere so be careful on the drive to and from. The only complaint we had if any was that the property did have a good amount of Bison droppings, so watch your step. Besides that, it was one of the best places we’ve stayed at so far!

We could not have been more pleased with our selection of this home. The home was more than we expected. It was clean and very spacious. The property was absolutely beautiful and the grandchildren really enjoyed fishing in the lake. We were totally surprised to wake up the second morning that we were there to buffalo roaming on the property. We would definitely rent this house again.

Great house in a great location

This is the nicest place we have ever stayed! It is far superior than staying in any hotel. We woke up to a lakefront view and buffalo in the back yard. The kids saw wild turkey and deer up close. We spent as much time outside as inside. Our kids even put their phones down all day! The only bad part was leaving!

My buddies and I rented this property for a fishing weekend and it did not disappoint. The house was awesome and had more than enough room for us. We had a fire every night in the fire pit which had very comfortable and sturdy chairs. The 10 acre pond had some of the clearest water I’ve ever seen in Texas and was full of fish. I will definitely look to rebook with family and friend for future trips.

We booked the cottage at Masters Lake to get “off the grid” for a few days with our boys. The property was more stunning in person than it was in the pictures! We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit cooking s’mores & gazing at the stars at night. My husband & our boys enjoyed fishing and exploring the property all day. Tapatio Springs Resort is right next door, so my friend & I drove up and enjoyed a cocktail at the restaurant while we waiting on our to-go pizzas, which were delicious! The only draw back was the cold weather for the majority of our stay, so we will definitely be booking again when the weather is nicer!

The property was amazing. We had a fun and relaxing weekend. Golf, fishing and shopping. We didn't want to leave and are ready to go back.

This place is amazing. The house, the view, animals, and most of all the service! Richard Gross was so accommodating. He answered the phone every time (Sat, Sun) I called (I had questions). This is one of the few stays where we got more than expected. During a time when good service is difficult to find, they exceeded expectations. Masters House will see us again for sure!

Our families second trip to this awesome retreat. Perfect place for our family to spend time together. Will definitely be returning to Masters Lake Cottage.
