The apartment was extensive, across multiple floors, including a roof-top terrace. Clean and well outfitted with all the necessary amenities. The owners were easy to reach and quick to respond to any questions. The nearby underground parking was a nice bonus. Due to the location, there is a good bit of road noise, especially at the front of the house (dining area), but the house has A/C, and the doors/windows block out the noise, so sleeping was never an issue.

Everything was great. Communications before arriving was clear and timely. The apartment was all we were expecting and more. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. Excellent location, we could walk to everything we wanted to see in town. Parking in the garage right across the street was very convenient (though we parked the car and didn't use it again until we left). Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants close by. We didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen was reasonably well stocked. The only inconvenience was that the only coffee maker used some special pods and there were only a few provided. We couldn't find in a nearby market, so weren't able to make coffee the last morning. Fortunately there are two cafes (one downstairs and another across the street) where we could buy coffees, plus some pastries to go with them.

Enjoyed the roof top deck & neighborhood. Wish there would have been coffee.

Location is great. The house is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The patio on the top is fantastic. Some little things must be corrected : no hot water in the kitchen, the oven needs some repairs and a guide for the TV should be provided.

Great location and comfortable lodging. Memory foam beds were nice. roof deck was really cool! Old thick walls but modern windows. Our family enjoyed staying here. Kitchen needs updating.

The townhome is beautifully restored& furnished. Beautiful views onto square. Unfortunately, the manager did not meet to show us details, no soap In bathroom dispenser, no toilet paper in either bathrooms, clothes washing machine was on the blink with a rusted drying rack, kitchen sink leaks discoloring the counter, no light bulbs on many lamps , erratic hot water. No help came from management.

The apartment was lovely and the location made our Evora visit easy and the city center accessible. I was surprised at some of the things that weren't provided. Both showers had soap dispensers that were completely empty - had to go to the store to buy soap. Although there was a Kurig-like coffee maker, the pods were not the right type and we were told they would be replaced which didn't happen. The washing machine was broken, we were told the parts had been ordered, but no washing machine. We were given two numbers to contact in case we needed anything but one of them apparently didn't work as we got no response about the power in one room (and internet) going out until the following day when I tried the second number.

This apartment is perfectly located to explore Evora. It has everything and is so well put together. Ricardo was one of the best host I have ever had (this is saying a lot). Exceedingly helpful. He drove us around the area; which was the highlight of our visit. He picked us up from the train and returned us. He took time with us to show us the map, make recommendations and assist us with plans. WOW!!!

Our host even met us at the train station and drove us to the VRBO. He briefed us on the local shops, restaurants and points of interest. The location is perfect right across from a pastry shop and around the corner from groceries and restaurants! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Large windows allow for beautiful views and warm sun. Washing machine for clothes was a welcome site with a drying rack to place on the sunny patio. With five travellers including an 11 month old baby, we had heavy backpacks. Our host drove us to the train station. We are appreciative of the over the top hospitality.

We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to stay. The apt. Is close to everything and has everything you could want. Ricardo met us, showed us how everything worked and was available to answer any questions. There is a small fruit and grocery close by if you don't have a car and there is the theatre which seems to always have concerts going on. The best restaurants in the city are just around the corner or down the street. Parking is free a 5 minute walk away.

Spacious, two floors plus rooftop patio, within the old town this apartment meant our stay was an easy and enjoyable one. Ricardo was helpful and charming when we met our first afternoon.

La maison est répartie sur quatre étages ce qui fait qu'il y ait beaucoup de marches à monter et descendre. L'ensemble était très propre. Je recommande cette maison à tous mais il faut être en forme pour y séjourner. La terrasse est invitante et il y a toutes les commodités.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Resende. Ricardo was an excellent host and very accommodating and helpful. He was easy to communicate with and responded quickly, his English is excellent. The apartment is beautifully renovated and we had everything we needed. We got a great view of the neighborhood from the rooftop terrace. My friend was ready to move in permanently. The casa is conveniently located and we easily toured Evora walking all over town and seeing the interesting sites and fun shopping. Ricardo recommended some great restaurants and cafes for delicious coffee and pastries. We even had coffee with Ricardo our last morning. Evora was an easy bus trip from Lisbon. We will definately return to Casa Resende on our next trip to Portugal. Thank you Ricardo!

Casa Resende is within the old city walls and so handy to all the historic sites there, which are easily accessible on foot. Ricardo was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips of what to do. It was a nice touch to be given a bottle of local red wine when we first arrived. Would want to stay again if we ever go back to Evora. Thank you.

Our family had a great time in Evora and the Casa Resende is perfectly located to walking around in town, convenient small shops near by, and even near free parking. The house is clean and comfortable, and we had a few nice lunches on the roof deck. Ricardo and Celeste were accommodating and responsive when we needed some help. Recommended.

This Casa has many outstanding attributes, great location in a great town, comfortable inside with good heating even in very cold weather which we had during our trip to Portugal, helpful hosts, lovely old building and clean and tidy. Only real drawbacks to this Casa are in the rain going in or out of the front door you get drenched.

This 400 year old building is charming. The remodel left the wonderfully curved ceilings and wooden stairs in tact. The new bathroom is lovely as well as the traditional decorations around the house. Ricardo met us with good cheer, even tho we arrived late. He also came the next morning within 5 minutes of our call to help us figure out the stove. The apartment accommodated 3 couples perfectly. It’s in the heart of the old town and we were able to walk to all locations. Even though it’s on a main street it’s very quiet inside. I would not recommend it to anyone who has trouble with stairs.

We had a wonderful stay in Évora. The apartment was perfect in every way - clean,comfortable, convenient to the old town and easy to explore other close by towns. Ricardo’s suggestions for places to eat were excellent! We will be back!

Super groot appartement midden in het centrum van Evora. Het gebouw bestaat uit vier verdiepingen en is zeer huiselijk ingericht. Op de eerste verdieping waren de woonkamer, keuken en een badkamer, op de tweede verdieping 3 slaapkamers en een badkamer en op de derde verdieping een washok en een mooi zonnig terras. Op de begane grond was een bakker waar je smorgens lekker brood kon kopen. Wij ontbeten altijd in een coffeeshop recht tegenover het theater. Ook het theater is een bezoekje waard. De eigenaresse Celeste was zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij.

All 4 of us ladies LOVED this home. It was absolutely charming and full of love that the owner has put into this home. There was lots of history in this home, and yet it was modern at the same time. The thick walls kept this home cool on hot days, the breezes were wonderful with the windows open. The upstairs terrace was charming. The owner was so very accommodating and helpful. She met us at the home when we arrived and shared all kinds of information to help make our stay in Evora more enjoyable. She was amazing and really added to the charm of the home and our stay in her lovely home. A very spacious and comfortable home--Thank You!

Spent 4 nights at this gorgeous little casa with my daughter, husband and parents. The city itself is simply amazing and the accommodation was superb! All areas of the house are exactly as pictured right up to the bottle of wine and Celeste is welcoming and informative. Every suggestion she gave us from our day trip to Monsaraz to the restaurants she recommended were excellent. The only mistake we made was not staying longer! Thanks Celeste!

Casa Resende has been renovated and it is nice. Owners still need to improve a few things.
