Was very nice in quality, clean, and very well maintained. The owners were very nice and open to give information omabout the place and local areas.

We loved our time at Lake Junaluska and this particular place gave us the best of both worlds—we were in walking distance to the lake and pool, but we were hidden away in the trees which kept things cool in the July heat. We’ll be back!

Cute comfortable apartment. Snacks/restaurant gift card were a thoughtful surprise. Steps leading down to the apartment were a but hard to see at night but not unmanageable. Wife loved the provided hand soap so much we found the store and bought some. Had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Spot, ample amenities and very quiet hideaway.
Overall a very good stay except that you have to pay the full amount by end of March and a little bit pricey.

Great dog friendly apartment
We stayed here with our pups for some hiking and relaxing. From reservation to check out everything was smooth. The place was very well stocked, clean and comfortable. There is a great deck with seating, grill and fire pit that overlooks the lake. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Waynesville is close by and is also a dog friendly town. Everything you need for a relaxing visit to the mountains.

Everything is great but bed is very uncomfortable
Wonderful place to stay and great area. Host are very kind and accommodating. Very clean . Only issue for us was the bed is extremely stiff. Some people may like that but caused us not to sleep well . Still recommend

Did not disappoint!
I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The accommodations were beyond my expectations and the Walkers had provided everything we needed, along with a very helpful and informative binder that answered any question we would possibly have from where to eat, hike, and entertainment in the area, to how to operate things in this cozy studio apartment! We were beyond comfortable here and would highly recommend this place.

Nice view and location
Nice mountain with lake view get away. Location within walking distance of the lake and proximity to Waynesville was a plus. The apartment was well furnished, but somewhat dark for my taste. I would definitely return.

The owners thought of everything. Loved the snacks and gift card to a great restaurant. Loved sitting in the patio, feeling the breeze and hearing the birds, watching the rabbits play below. Owners very friendly!

Perfect
20 minutes straight shot from Cataloochee. Me, my husband, my 12yo and 6yo all stayed comfortably in the studio apartment. Would stay here again.

Peace and Qiuet
We had a excellent time. The rental was clean and stocked with everything you need. They left us snacks and a dining gift card to their favorite restaurant. Overall it was a great stay. I will return in the spring.

Nice Area, but renovation work was not complete
We arrived at night and no porch light was on. It was difficult to see the code area on the door. When we entered the apartment the musty odor hit you in the face. The owner had plug in's placed in the kitchen and bathroom to try to cover up the smell, but it made it worse. The Shower in the bathroom was so small you could hardly turn around in it. The apartment was decorated cute and had everything you needed for the most part.We were only without a T.V for one evening The remote on the T.V. needed batteries and her husband brought them down to us when we asked. The owner gives a $10.00 gift card to a local restaurant which is a nice touch towards your meal.

Outstanding visit. Beautiful location on Lake Junaluska NC. Loved the privacy, scenery and surrounding mountains. Sharon and Van were the perfect hosts. Looking forward to future visits. Highly recommend.

A Little Oasis
As soon as we opened the door to our rental we knew we picked the right one. The rental was spotless. It had everything you could possibly need for a stay. The bed was comfortable. Although we didn’t cook during this stay, we could have done so easily because the kitchen had everything you needed. The AC worked great. The deck overlooked Lake Junaluska, and it was so peaceful. This was the perfect place for us to get away and unwind. Van and Carolyn thought of everything. They even left a basket of snacks and a gift card towards a local restaurant. The restaurant, the Sweet Onion was fabulous and worth the trip. All we can say is thank you For letting us stay at your beautiful home.

Get-Away Haven
Wonderful property managers, Van and Carolyn, have created a quiet and beautiful rental overlooking lovely Lake Junaluska. The best thing about “Lone Star” is the view from the deck. The entire neighborhood is elegant and modern. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Beautiful view - peaceful location

Private & Spotless with Beautiful Views!
Waynesville, NC is a wonderful destination, with fabulous shops & restaurants & great hiking nearby. We were thrilled to find Carolyn’s place overlooking Lake Junaluska! The apartment was just as pictured & was spotless! The cleanest VRBO rental we’ve ever stayed in! The kitchen was fully stocked, and the hosts left packets of apple cider and hot chocolate along with some snacks for us to enjoy. The beds and linens were lovely, and check-in/check-out were a breeze. The lake offers beautiful views and a great walking trail. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Hope to return!
