Fantastic area to stay if you don’t want to be slope side. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Quiet. Well appointed. Spacious kitchen and living area. Comfy master bed. Staff were helpful when we had an issue with the door lock. Short walk to the Dinner Plain to Hotham shuttle.

The loft bed on the top floor is too hard. The hot water must be on an off peak setting because it was room temp during the day - paying a premium so should have hot water all day. Cleaning could have been better.

To be honest we wanted to spend our vacation in a clean and tidy place.we thought it will be exactly as photos showed.But when we arrived we were so disappointed.The entrance was not clean and it was very old.No enough bed fittings.Toilet floor was not clean.we had to clean toilets first before we used.Then kitchen appliances -pans and mugs we had to clean before used.We swept floor before we used. Actually we wanted to checkout when we saw the property.But we spent more than 5 hours to arrive the location and our son is only two years old.we were soo tired.so we decided to clean it and spend the time. We didn’t go through reviews before we booked the property.But after this situation I went through and saw we are not the first people who experienced this. Anyway thank you for letting us spend the time. Thanks

Furniture and the cleanliness

The location was great, an easy drive up The mountain for snowboarding.

The property needs a seriously good clean and update of most things, cobwebs everywhere and marks on walls. The condition of the frypans and saucepans was appalling and glasses were covered in fat and grease above the cooktop. The dining chairs are falling apart as is the cushions! Not to mention the food and rubbish under the couch cushions!!!l Tried to have a BBQ upon arrival and couldn’t find it! WhenI enquired was told one there want one (although advertised) and a spare couldn’t be sourced. No pantry items at all, foil, glad wrap, salt and pepper etc The TV’s are so old they have set top boxes and limited channels with no Netflix and only 4 dvd’s available. The upstairs bed was not made up and linen provided after a phone call, we made the bed ourselves. Overall we were really disappointed and wouldn’t stay again!

The location was fantastic. We loved Dinner Plain it was truly a great place to stay and spend our holiday. Definitely will be back in future.

The property wasnt very clean. There were no fitted sheets in the kids bedroom so we had to use one of the spare doonas as a sheet. The couches were very uncomfortable and definitely need updating. The chairs had cracked leather which didnt look very appealing. The upstairs bedroom was not done up and left dirty which was a shame as our son wanted to sleep there. The house was full of cob webs and spiders which made our stay very uncomfortable as we had to spray the house every day to make sure they wouldnt come inside. There was hardly any washing detergent left to wash our clothes. The fire place had no low heat options which resulted in us having to turn it off after it got to hot. The tv was really ild and hardly had any channels. The only plus to property was the clean bathrooms and comfortable beds other than that there wasnt much to like about the property itself.
